too bad they locked military grade components behind laggy buggy fps content that is just to aids to enjoy... literally nerfed the fuck out of 80% of the community who aint even into fps gameplay lmfao... think they should focus stabilizing the game before nerfing people and locking content to certain areas of gameplay.. imagine the uproar there would be if people had to go do hauling missions to get a military grade component.. most of the pvpers would just quit the game.

Die Starlancer MAx sieht schön aus hat aber paar Dinge die mich stören. Das Sichtfenster aus dem Cockpit ist zu klein / schmal. Die beiden Flügeln sehen zerbrechlich aus und nehmen zu viel Platz weg von der Breite. Es hat zu wenig Laderaum bei der Schiffsgröße.

Couple things to learn for flight. You can disable flight assist to get full space flight where you have to manage all thrusters to control your momentum as a pose to the game doing it for you. Also manage your system pips to go faster/have stronger shields/longer lasting weapons.

Now you need to go to Hutton Orbital and get your FREE Anaconda.

Go through some setting tutorial too, you can unequip autoland to get less weight also its good to fly with "decoupled" or with Flight assist off because it acts different then in SC. And if you wanna have fun, you can run shieldless ships with huge armor and obliberate everyone.

As for flying the Redeemer solo: With the guardian out, the only reason to fly a Redeemer over it is the extra shields. Redeemer is barely above agility over an andromeda (which has more shields and more weapons, as well as cargo and a snub ! !), so a Guardian takes the cake in agility and overall speed. If we are to consider the Redeemer a heavy fighter, than we should consider the constellations as well... or not, I don't know, heavy fighters are kinda for pve anyways With a team: the extra guns will make you pull energy from shields, so the regen gets lowered but you at least have a fair amount of damage.

This ship was love at first sight to me! And without having watched your video, i came to the same conclusion: if i'd only own 1 ship... So, i've upgraded my one ship to this beauty. The 'verse has never shone brighter :)

people hate elite because it's hard to understand and you need to know how to go look for your own fun. It's such a massive game and it does such a poor job of guiding you through how to do anything. When I started, these beginning missions to teach you was not there and you are thrown out in just a sidewinder with no direction on what to do. It was still an amazing game but I was lost for most of it.

It's a cool ship but the way CIG balances things is beyond idiotic. The Starlancer MAX is bigger than it's supposed competitors, even the devs say it is more akin to the 600i. But it has half the hull HP of the Connie. Even the Corsair, the glass cannon, has more hull hp than the Starlancer MAX. Wtf were they thinking?

You should try it in VR. Its amazing

I have played ED since it was in Beta. We didn't have tutorials. My only suggestion for you would be to make sure you configure all your control modes because you will be using them a lot. I try to make it as common across the modes as possible. And then hunt down the config file and save it. ED tends to reset to default when they make a major update. Trying to redo your controls is a pain.

This was a good video, thank you. As an Elite player since 2016 or 17... I haven't played in years because of just how fucked up Frontier Development treated this title. So so so many misteps during its development. I loved deep space exploring and astroid mining. It was a chill game. I had/have no interest in the pvp, or fps aspects of the game. The capital ships you can buy were very poorly implemented... And that was the last straw for me. They spent 2 years developing those ships and threw them into the game with what looked like no thought. Turns out FD tried to be a publisher after the initial success of Elite. Then turned their backs on us and our game. Focusing on loosing IPs instead. Its been sad, and I miss Elite.... Its just such a GRIND. I have better things to do with my time. Where were the ship interiors? The atmospheric planets?! Big game hunting? I don't care for Thargoids- although the 1at time they pulled you out of Frame Shift was epic. I loved the sound design, and flight controls. It was fun. Opened up the imagination.

Why is my Starfarer interior in darkness and non of the displays are on, i can not work out or find where to turn all the lights on and the displays scattered about the ship…..! Any help please 🙏🏻

I just started playing yesterday, couldn't figure out how to fix my in-game resolution, graphics and text were garbage but it was still playable. into mission bugged out(objective didn't complete) after i boarded the ship and i had to restart from last checkpoint. I'm hoping my next playthrough goes better and i can figure out the graphical bugs but so far I'm underwhelmed. Anyway, enjoyed watching your first experience! thanks for sharing :)

What's your thoughts on using EMPs as part of a org fleet tactics?

i assumed that the size of the EMP determined what size ship your aiming it at. ie: small EMP is good against small ships, big EMP is good against large ships.

Never heard of this game before, it popped up on a weekend Steam deal. Watched a few videos, and this one convinced me to buy it. Got the Deluxe version for $8.99 (can't beat the price!). Can't wait to play, looks like a ton of fun!!!

As someone that played elite back in 2019-20 and hasn’t picked it back up since until a few days ago, I never realized just how much I missed this game and my god is it different. To put it into a little more perspective the las time I played I believe they had just added the scarab planetary explorers, and the thargoid was still a huge mystery being more of a random in game event than anything. I have missed the thargoid war and I am upset 😢

I really enjoyed elite dangerous but became so confused and what I should be doing.

Took you nearly 20 minutes to get into the cockpit. The new player experience is terrible. ED is a space flight sim. All the ground stuff is crap.

So what horror stories have you heard? Been playing since 2016, on Xbox, switched over to pc. I tried SC but it wasn't EDO. Plus I couldn't get SC to run at any decent frame rate....

Me and my buddy used to play ED some years ago, i enjoyied it alot, but then i really did start beliving in SC, so i pledged and never looked back. I read a whole bunch of bad reveiws about ED's dlc, so it just made me not want to bother and stick to SC. But after watching this, maybe i will buy the dlc afterall and dust off my old ED flightsuit. Thanks for the insight CMDR o7
