But does it live up to it's class? I always liked this ship and had a good stealth loadout in 3.22 but I'm worried stealth just won't be viable anymore with MM
The Sabre has got to be the most beautiful fighter in the game. Brand new to SC, but this is one of the ships I definitely want in my hangar sometime. Been flying her a bit in Arena Commander, loving it despite getting my ass handed to me most of the time :P
Good to see ya back. Been flying mine since the buff it got on maunoverbility. I run 4 FL33's fixed on mine because they have a zero spread on them. :)
It needs interceptor tuning like the rest of the sabre series. It's tuned like a brawler currently, a turn fighter. She's not supposed to be a brawler. She will never be a good brawler considering she's way outgunned and outarmored by other ships in her class. Furthermore, she has a top profile nearly the same size as the f8, which gets exposed in a turn fight. She needs a big top speed and strong main thrusters to hit and run, and utilize her stealth to the fullest.
Oh, I completely agree with you. When I was playing regularly, I did feel I got decent at brawling with it, though. It's definitely not easy to do, but I think with enough practice it can be done.
The Sabre (base to firebird) have felt great as of late. I ran interference in the Firebird during a Jumptown event, thing danced around and barely had to flare to avoid missiles (but those are iffy right now).

I actually think this Loadout looks pretty sweet, I didn't realize the capacitors held so many rounds for the repeaters and the laser cannons, cheers
