Now when we first moved here we had gravel paths. Had no idea that we did because the lady's mantle had completely destroyed the membrane and was like doc's on steroids. It still makes an appearance 8 years on. I use a kill it with fire policy. I love the raised tree bed it's very Kos or Riccione. If we had one I'd plant Oxalis round it. Love how the flowers roll up at night and the deep pink is gorgeous. Or maybe London pride 🤔.... so waiting for the dahlia tour vid. Love this channel
Thanks Adam - Hopefully we can contain/control the spread of the Lady's Mantle. It's got such a pretty foliage that I really don't mind if it spreads a little. 😊
Great choice of plants Annette. I love the way that little Cosmo always comes to inspect what you and Richard are doing. Had a great time at David Austin's rose place and there was still a lot to see even though some of the roses had already finished their second flush. We practically had the place to ourselves with it being so late in the season. It was hard to decide which roses I wanted to buy but came away with Harlow Carr, Ancient Mariner, Tottering by Gently and Emily Bronte. Emily smells amazing and I wish I'd bought her sooner. I could have bought more but there was only so much room in the car plus my pockets aren't that deep! I'd make a return visit if we were ever in that area again. Good to see that your finger is okay but sorry that you've caught a cold. These viruses can make us feel quite unwell. Hope you feel better soon. x
Thanks so much Wendy. Yes, we can count on Cosmo to be at my heel, checking our work is up to scratch 🤣 Sounds like you had a wonderful visit to David Austin - definitely one for my future adventures! 😊
Thanks Elle. We use this fertiliser at the moment: amzn.to/4fN0Vin and it works well for us. If you see a little yellow tub - we have just decanted this fertiliser into that tub because it's smaller to carry 😊
Hi there, yes, I found that the tray where I laid the seeds bristle side down (touching the compost) germinated but the ones that were bristle side up didn't. Now, this really wasn't a controlled experiment and maybe I watered one more (or more effectively) than the other so please bear that in mind! 😊
Its always fun to watch "you" plant things out! :) I'm glad your finger us healing well.
Thanks Carol! 😁
Thanks again Annette.
You are so welcome 😁
Great team work Annette, abs love the patio and pots.
Thank you 🌻
Thanks so much Susan. I do love working with Richard in the garden. 😊
Happy to see that you've recovered from your injury and are able to dig again.😊
Thanks Stan. Yes, finger is much better thank goodness - it was so tiresome to be unable to use it properly 😊
So many beautiful flowers Annette, that penstemon is so pretty. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks so much Jane. 😁

Great video!
Just curious if you use miracle grow as your fertilizer?
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Annette, I seem to remember that you did a trial with Orlaya seed ! Was it higher germination with smooth side facing up or down ?

@@cottoverdi Thank you SO much. Fingers crossed I will get my home saved seed to germinate !!
But will it survive the cat 😆
🤣 Nope - Cosmo was making himself at home the very next day - we've had to lay sticks over it for the time being! 😁
😂😂 nothing like a cat to sort out a flower bed.. except maybe a golden retriever ❤
