Was so fun filming this little video, we filmed it a few days after we brought him home for the first time. He's been with us over a week now and is still a cute cuddly little purr pot who is gaining more and more confidence by the day and we love him so much! I'm in love with Echo !! It's so beautiful watch him play and sleep. I have a cat, is called Mufasa. I love that every time I sit down to eat, he sits in a chair next to me to keep me company. There is nothing cuter than kittens! 🐈🐈🐈

So for those who are thinking of getting a ragdoll, please be aware that you are adopting a cat first, and a ragdoll second. I adore my ragdoll, and love his unique personality which is not typical ragdoll - he hates cuddling, is not floppy, will attack people, and he doesn't have a docile bone in his body. But, he's loyal, energetic, talkative, and he's my best buddy! Sadly, I'm quite certain that some owners would have abandoned him because he lacks those ragdoll characteristics that people want. Please please realize that, just like humans, each ragdoll is different, and special, even if they lack the cuddle/floppy gene. You adopt the cat, not the breed.
Same here. I've had a bluepoint ragdoll for 16 years (which is a very long life for a ragdoll). But she's not like other ragdolls. She never cuddles or gets floppy. But, she's the most exquisite beautiful creature and i feel privileged just being able to admire her beauty everyday. Please do NOT abandon a ragdoll because she doesn't fit the characteristics of a ragdoll. It's always an innocent cat that deserves to be happy and loved no matter what!
Lovely kitten. We have a ragdoll who adopted us (her previous owners argued and smoked, and she liked calm - clam is good - we never argue, and she is the baby we are unable to have because of age (we met too late in life). She sleeps between us in bed, sometimes under the duvet between us, eats when we eat and is very cuddly. We had to put her on a lead as she has no common sense as she was rolling around in the road and not moving for cars. Luckily, it's a dead end and neighbours cars stopped for her otherwise she would be dead. (I think they are pleased), she is so adorable and beautiful everyone loves her, I am hoping she will live a long time as she has become so precious to us. She requires a lot of attention and love but gives a lot back in return.
Echo is darling! He reminds me of 2 Ragdolls I rescued. Playful, friendly disposition, cuddly, smart and floppy like Ragdolls. Even as adults sometimes they laid down too close to an edge that they slowly slipped off. Ah... so many good memories. You will have many years of joy!
Was so happy that I was able to adopt a rag doll from a cat shelter. He’s been with me about three years. He is lilac with white mittens. He’s the sweetest, most gentile cat I’ve ever been around.
I hit subscribe as soon as I saw how you put that cushion and blanket pile under Echo to catch any more tumbles. That extent of consideration and thoughtfulness just warrants tuning in for more videos. You’re great parents to Echo and hopefully all this practice will come in handy for future kids. I also appreciated how you gave Echo space on that first day to exit the carrier and explore without forcing anything. As much as I love a dog’s cuddle, I love that rumble of purring that sort of seems to drown out all the bad stuff going on in the world these days. There is something about how a cat snoozes under my oversized cardigan by my rib cage after burrowing in there then waking up and getting a bite to eat or a drink maybe even a potty break but afterwards she purposefully walks over and claims her spot again like this is where she staked out for the duration of lockdown or shelter in place orders. Can’t tell you how many times my legs went numb from sitting still too long or falling asleep. Or how often I got kinks in my back from sitting in awkward angles for her comfort. Never stopped me from accepting her next cuddle session though. I think God put fur babies in our lives cuz He knew we would both benefit from that relationship. There is nothing one sided or unreciprocated about it. It’s a win win for both of us.

She's 14 years old, still playful and really cute :) especially when she's laying on her back stretching and all her little toes go wide :) she helps me to slow down...
@@gigimalng628 For the last couple of years she's been eating Yarrah Organic Grain-free dry food for sterilised cats and since a few months I added organic chunks with fish, from Yarrah as well. She's doing really well!
Oh he's adorable hun! I have 2 silver shaded persians (now age 14) they are the loves of my life. I pray I have them a few more years. I've loved seeing Echo's day, it reminds me of mine as little ones. God bless him, and enjoy every moment!!

echo is beautiful - congratulations on your new little love. love the close-up of him purring and eating. i am dealing with a 16-year old ragdoll in kidney failure at the moment. if i had it to do over again, i would feed raw. 6:08 - yes, he's fine - he will grow out of it. it's just dumb kitten stuff. he's got quite the motor on him - love it. A holistic vet once told me, "a thirsty cat is not a healthy cat." So don't worry too much if he doesn't drink water - he might get all the moisture he needs through his food. Love how much you two giggle because of him - that's what it's all about - enjoy him!
We had four raggies - Mollie, Hollie, Gracie and Peaches (you can tell from their names which three were sisters). But after 13 years only Mollie and Peaches are still with us. I love how they flop when you pick them up - it is the sweetest thing.
He is so adorable. He reminds me of my cat Chip when he was a kitten. Chip used to climb the curtains too. My advice is try not to let Echo do that too much because Chip actually tore the curtain rod out of the wall as an adult trying to climb the curtains!!!
I've had a Maine Coon that lived to be 18. Am looking to adopt another pair of kittens. Love, love your kitty's temperament and, obviously, is SO adorable. Hope to find one of each. Maine Coon and Ragdolls...are the best!
Possibly the cutest kitten ever! Your concern for his safetyand welfare is wonderful, but cats are very resitient, capable and confident. They can land on their feet from great heights, which he will learn to do very soon. They love climbing and being up high so a cat tree would be appropriate. Relax and enjoy him. Again the cutest!
I've only just found your videos, but having just lost my fur baby a week ago, they really warm my heart. If I can ever afford it, I think I'll try and make my next cat a ragdoll, for my emotional and mental health, as much as anything else.
Very sweet. Echo is beautiful. I remember being a new cat mom and being very nervous about everything but try to relax and enjoy. You probably have thought about it but the only suggestion i would offer is either putting a footstool, chair or cushions where he can fall off the stairs for a bit of protection. Xxx
Your little Ragdoll kitten is gorgeous. I have a Ragdoll myself. Her name is Rose and she will be 8 years old next year. She has access to the garden and goes in and out at will. She really enjoys the garden. But for a large part of the day she sleeps in the spare room. My cat hangs her head over the edge of the furniture. But considering her size she can stretch her front paws out and touch the floor. My girl is 36 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail, stands 10 inches at the should and weighs between 16lbs-17lbs, which my vet has told me is an acceptable weight for a spayed ragdoll. Rose is a mitted lilac tabby-point.
Do you have a picture somewhere I can see? I have an 11mo lilac bicolor (maybe tabby too). I don't see a lot of photos of lilacs so I'm always tickled to see them! I have photos of her on instagram @kindred_cats
