Great, I often do experiments with left over paints or paints I bought of cheaper quality that I've now upgraded. I even open up tubes with a knife to clean out all the paint in there before recycling the metal and plastic separately. I love the way you kind of "feather" the paint with your brush strokes. It seems as if your whole area is completely relaxed from shoulder to hand.
Hi Mark, your comment about using every scap of paint etc reminds me of myself, I do the same. You sound like a Zimbabwean, where most art materials have always been difficult to source over the years, which in turn has made us very resourceful, but sadly inhibited many artists spontaneous, artistic endeavours.... in the name of wasting materials.
Hi Mark! Yes I have so many tubes that I can't bring myself to throw them out. Cutting them open is a good idea! It's like gold! I do like to paint standing and I suppose I probably do move my whole arm from the shoulder! Have never really thought about it. Cheers Scott
