    Holy crap!
    Dude! You collect funco pops and you like Howard the duck and teen/chick movies. Why in the world would you even consider watching a Bergman film, let alone buying one? So, it went way over your head. No surprise there. Also, you say that you thought On the Waterfront was going to be like The Godfather. Why? Because Brando was in it?
    Again, Dude!
    Try this; if you have to think about a movie, skip it. It'll be too much for you. It might, as you say, "hurt your brain". If you hurt your brain too much, it might stop going Beep, Beep, Beep! and then where would you be?

    I was shocked when you had Charade on your regret list, but thankfully it wasn’t about the film itself. I think it’s an awesome film but I 100% agree with you that there is nothing about it that separates it from the standard Blu-ray release which I own and I would not “upgrade” to the Criterion edition.
    I agree that The Seventh Seal was a snooze fest. I love older films, I love B&W films, and I am into foreign language films, but I couldn’t stand this one. I wanted to love it so bad.

    I have the Criterion DVD of White Dog which I didn't know was controversial here in continental US. Because some people think it's a racist movie but it's the other way around it's anti racism. Well I like the movie and have on Venezuelan VHS prior to the DVD. I thought the movie would have a Blu-ray by now but nope. Too controversial for Criterion Blu-ray. I bought some time ago the Night Of The Living Dead 4K and don't regret it even though I think 4K for a black and white movie is overkill. I think I have another Criterion or two but can't remember. I usually don't buy from them because they don't handle horror movies. Anyway good list good showing and cool video Mike!👉🙂👈

    • @vincezom
      @vincezom 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To say that it's too controversial for Criterion is ridiculous. Lack of a blu ray release usually is because of a rights issue. Also, anyone who would buy this movie most likely knows that it's a famously anti-racism film. Condescend much?

    • @HECTORMONTALVO-le9cn
      @HECTORMONTALVO-le9cn 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @vincezom Criterion rarely handles risqué movies. And I red somewhere that Sam Fuller didn't want the movie to continue to be distributed because of the backlash the DVD received. But who knows if Goodbye Uncle Tom gets released again why not White Dog. Tom had to be shot in Dominican Republic because USA didn't allowed it to be filmed in US territory!🤔

    On the Waterfront was about the serious work issues at the time in the country so it hit hard at the time. David Lynch movies are beautifully shot, but yes very complicated and layered. It’s like he had five scripts from five different movies, threw them in the air and wherever they landed is the order of the movie. Lost Highway was like that also. People like Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, but I really don’t like it.
