When after tons of mediocre stuff, the first Left no impact goes to 8 1/2, and first Dislike goes to Breathless, i would say watching this is a compleye waste of time, and the guy still buying dvds with non-hollywood stories is jyst a waste of money. Hollywwod style kid. Not born for the art of cinema.
Nice collection. Although I disagree with a lot of your opinions, it’s really refreshing to hear someone give their honest thoughts on Criterion movies instead of just gushing over the ones they think they’re *supposed* to like.
I still have work to do to get the whole collection watched, but I do put an emphasis on that. I'm lucky to have the free time to watch a lot of movies.
Alright, fully convinced, I think Portrait will be my next purchase this month. Miller’s Crossing is my least favorite Coen bros film. I’m with you there. I’ve watched it 3 times trying to like it 😆. You’ve got an awesome collection. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these regarding how yours categorize them.
Nice collection man. Surprised to hear some you didn’t like. I’m a big fan of American Friend and of course I agree with Midnight Cowboy, such a great movie.
Didn't care for The Seventh Seal, Harakiri, Paths of Glory or the Killing. Thumbs down.

' Fox and his friends. ' Fassbinder's best film. ' The Vanishing ' I wish had never been made. A cruel film that could mark some for life. Awful film. I do not like banning films, but if I did it would be my number one. Perhaps a suggestion: ' Crazed Fruit ' a Japanese masterpiece. I have an excellent Criterion of this film. Suggest too ' Gertrud ' directed by Dreyer. I admire you as a serious collector of film.
Not gonna lie, dude. Criterion is really f’ing lame. Snobby little label, with a customer base of mostly snobby, yuppie little hipsters who think they’re “cool” for watching some old ass, foreign language bullshit that the modern film lover couldn’t give a shit about.
Tell how you really feel man. It’s all good…Transformers, Star Wars, and Marvel movies all still exist for you to watch. No need to be a dick about someone liking “old ass, foreign language bullshit”.
Saying no impact for Cure is crazy. Genuine all timer
Cure is incredible ! No impact ?

Thanks for watching. Criterion is so deep, there is something for everyone. I appreciate that you can disagree without attacking, lol.
8 1/2. Left no impact.
Any other opinion stays an opinion.
This one is the Litmus
Great collection Vin! Really impressive how many you have and how many you have watched out of them.

Awesome collection! Definitely some there I need to look more into. Some great titles.

I was waiting for your reaction to Jeanne Dielman lol. I need to re-watch Frances Ha, remember liking it.
yeah Frances Ha I'm lookin forward to.
Nice video man. Props for watching most of those criterions. I have so many blind buys sitting on that shelf.
It's a challenge to watch everything we buy sometimes for sure.

I will definitely revisit American Friend down the line.
Host -
What transpired regarding the Vin vs Vin show and when or if it will occur again? Did a schism occur between the two hosts? Thanks
No schism, just both of us took a bit of a YT hiatus. I'm sure we will be back one day!

Thank you! I will look into Crazed Fruit and Gertrud. I love getting recommendations.

But hey man, if you wanna waste your money on that shit, then have at it

Criterion does offer a lot of modern films you might enjoy if foreign or older cinema isn't your bag.
Ahahaha.... here he goes, mediocre creature
