Just wanted to say that I got this P305F code my 2015 Malibu along with another code ( P16D0 - but doesn't have anything to do with this code). After finally getting the part for the other code, I had only this code left. I had the auxiliary battery tested before I purchased one, and it tested just fine, no issues 100% and 13 volts. I also tested all the connections from the front and back like this video showed. My issue turned out to be my main battery. I had a mechanic test the main battery, and even through the battery had 12.7 volts, the device read "bad battery" and showed that the battery did not have enough cranking power. I replaced the main battery and it fixed my problem and the code.

Having a second battery that needs to be replaced (after paying for a diagnosis) at least as frequently as the main battery, defeats the savings of the start-stop system, especially if the second battery has a shorter life than that of a regular battery. Seemed like after a few months the check engine light came back to life. So I again started looking into all the connections and Fuse block and the (DBCM) dual battery control module. All seemed well. So back to the battery to double check because stranger things have happened. Sure enough. The battery was at 27%. recharged full. Hooked up again and had dropped to 76%. Bad battery indicated. So trying to locate a new battery. Probably sitting in a shipping container off the port of Los Angeles. Does this battery charge from the alternator as well or? Would it benefit from separate trickle charging? Does the frequent charging over charge/cycle and kill it? Usually these little batteries die of neglect and lack of regular charging and or use. But you'd think in a regularly driven vehicle it would be maintained well enough to last as well as your primary battery. AutoZone has a Duralast Platinum AGM with a 3 yr replacement warranty. Did all that and still have the code.
Today my 2014 chevy Malibu was giving me problems. The car shut off once while driving today as well. I took the car to auto zone for a diagnostic and the results were :
(P305F) and (C0800-03) and Secondary DTCs : p0010 & p0011
So I took my car to Schwab for my battery check, they told me that the power problem was from the main battery and the problem wasn’t with the battery in the trunk with their first diagnostic. I took my car back to Schwab after 2 hours of replacing the main battery to make sure the issue was fixed, with another diagnostics. With the second diagnostic, they tell me that the problem is with the battery in my trunk... lol.
Any tips for me to get this issue fully fixed?

What I'm hearing is if I don't replace the little battery, I don't have to worry about my car stopping and starting at red lights. I hate that feature anyway!
I hate the auto stop/start feature just for that reason i want to get rid of this vehicle
ILoveMyAston Martins I just put the car in Manuel as I stop then it won’t turn off.
