guys, if you’re having this problem with 2014 malibu or impala, take it to the dealer, they have a special coverage for this issue and will replace the part for free or if you fixed it already let them know and you will get your money back, if your has less than 120,000 miles or less than 10 years.
I’ve replace this myself and even took it to the dealership and they ended up replacing the same part saying that the one I put it wasn’t OEM. Code still came back when I replaced it and even when I I took it to the dealership.
I have codes P055b, P16D0, and P2626… I have replaced all three of these parts. I take rocker arm solenoid 1 and 2. Along with intake camshaft position actuator oil pressure sensor. Codes go away for awhile than I start coding one of the three… sometimes the exhaust solenoid code appears. This is an ongoing issue. I’m stumped… Great video though!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I been driving the car still .finally im parking it i don't hear no noise no ticking or anything crazy is just stalling a little bit and it still drives but I pulled the oil dipstick and I saw little bit of tiny metal shavings barely should I be worry ... does that mean I have to replace the arm rockers 😟
You should check the screen on the OLD solenoid and clean it out then try it and see if it will work Edit I just heard you mention it after I posted this. And this is why we need to change the oil on time and use the dealer oil filter and oil.. maintenance is key guy and excellent diagnosis K.
Working in an independent shop is tough. Systems are different from year to year, model to model, engine to engine and then brands. Subaru with bad ignition coil, next a Honda with noisy radiator fan followed the Malibu with lifter codes. Then confirm repair by driving to meet the PCM’s strategy, code does not return or pending (Type B, fail but need two drive cycles to turn on CEL.) If fixed, then EVAP leak on a Ford truck. Yes, very difficult as no two are the same as each cannot copy the other. I can’t record your song and sell it to make money too!
