I can't say any one is better than the others. I have been using the Pinkway more than the others. It probably because it's purple.😆 I have used the Wemars the least. There seems to be more info out there about the Wemars saws, so I am leaving that one to the others.
My second saw was a Rancher 50, a smooth saw and a big step up from the Mac 110 I started with. It had the worst choke mechanism ever devised, but once running was fine. As an old 49cc saw, it looks like the newer, and I'm sure lower hour machines, were able to beat it. I would guess the 460 at 60cc is the largest. I'd be curious what the actual displacement is of each of the China saws.
I ended up installing a kit to change the choke on the 50 to the pull style. So far, I have only disassembled the Pinkway. It measures 54CC. The squish is .045" so I am going to delete the base gasket and take a little off the base to increase compression a bit.
which saw was your favorite ? We have a tree that fell down from a storm that probably 2ft across side to side , do you think any of these would be good enough to cut into cookies about 6 - 10 inches ... a few days ago I rented a echo cs590 from Home Depot , what a joke that was . It was like they gave me a beat up old chain to use on it . after 30 minutes of cutting I took it back to Home Depot
For most people getting a lathe for something like this doesn't make practical sense. If the "easy start" does break, I would probably eliminate it. I think it was Chickanic, that showed how to convert one from "easy start" to standard start, if that ends up being a problem.
Too bad I gave away that saw! (Husky 50) So you found out that Pinkway 63cc saw is only 54cc. I bet you will find the same lies about the other saws. The novice lumberjack got two of the Wemars saws about a year ago. He found they exaggerated the displacements on those saws. I wonder how well the "easy start" will hold up after you increase the compression on the Pinkway. My poulan pro 5020av's "easy start" broke soon after I got it. I recently acquired a Jonsered 2255 with "easy start" that was a very beat up rental saw. I don't know if they had to fix the starter like I did for my pp5020, but I hope they are not all as weak as the pp's.
I have been following Novice Lumberjack for a while now. He does some cool stuff on his channel. I don't have a lathe so I only reduced the squish from .045" down to ~.030". I haven't fired it up yet to see if the soft start will be a problem or not. I have not taken the other saws apart yet. I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I should have plenty of time to dig into them.
This really sweet sounds of chain saws you have buddy❤❤❤
How does the weight of the clone saws compare to the 460? Thanks
The clones are much lighter.
So whats the updated favorite on these? Which one works best?

I'm not sure I can pick a favorite. They are all good saws.

I actually 3D printed a fixture to sand the bottom. It let me smooth it out and take few thousandths off.
Where there's a will there's a way
