Thanks for this demo. Are you using all cold wax+oil paint or are you using straight oil paint in some cases on this painting?

Thanks so much! This video is a couple years old but I think I used asphaltum, titanium white, Chinese orange, cadmium orange, grey, cadmium red light. I think those were all on my palette! Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching my TH-cam videos! New ones coming soon!

Hi Lisa, I'm curious to know how you finish your work. Do you apply anything or do you just buff it when you're done?
Susan, I sometimes just cover with clear cold wax and buff it, sometimes I don’t cover it with anything, and on an occasion I use GamVar Matte or Satin varnish. All are acceptable ways for a finish! Thanks for watching my videos!!

Jennifer, this video was done awhile back -so I think that red was probably a cad red light or a French red light. Two off my favorite reds!!! Thanks so much for watching!!❤️

I recently subscribed to your channel and I love the oil and cold wax videos. What type of tissue paper do you use. I have searched for machine finished paper (shiny on one side) with no luck.
Dolores, thank you so much for subscribing!! I use the standard gift wrapping tissue paper, just plain white tissue paper. Very inexpensive and leaves great texture!🎨

hi just started watching your videos....where is the cold wax.?? is it mixed in with the oil? can you do the same with acrylic???
Drea, I mix the cold wax into each color of oil paint on my palette. I use a 50:50 ratio of oil paint and cold wax. You cannot use the cold wax like this with acrylic paint. You can use cold wax as a varnish over acrylic paintings but Not mixed into the acrylic paints!
