I don't know how anyone with a brain can blame Ten Hag in this situation. If Sancho hadn't responded, no one would have even noticed. This is after he was given 3 months break last year for his mental health, plenty of managers would have declined. Ten Hag didn't even make him a scapegoat.

In any other job if you got called into the managers office and the manager said “your performances aren’t up to scratch and you’re not putting in enough effort” and your response is “I am actually”, you’d be sacked on the spot. You’re essentially telling the manager that your best isn’t good enough.
The fact he’s on £300k+ a week is disgusting, he’s achieved absolutely nothing in the game and has an incredibly high opinion of himself, not sure if Pep was the manager at the time but I remember him demanding to start for city back when he was 16.

People use Sancho as a way to circle jerk the PL. ''Not good enough for the PL, was good enough for the Bundesliga.'' I think thats unfair to say. I wouldn't be surprised if mentality issues were a reason. Some players are just not built like the elite players that always stay hungry.
I always say that there's different levels of mentality in football. Some players have enough mentality to make it out of the youth teams. Some players have enough mentality to break through into the first team. Some players have enough mentality to follow up on a good debut season. Some players have enough mentality to stay hungry to earn a big transfer with a big sum of money and are still mentally strong enough to keep their level of quality up at their new club.
While others just get complacent, start earning a lot of money and the hunger disappears. Some maybe let the fame go to their heads. While some maybe can't handle the spotlight.
I remember how Van der Vaart spoke about there being players in the Ajax Youth Academy with him that were levels above him in terms of raw talent. However, they never made it into the first team because they simply lacked the mentality for it. Van der Vaart did have that mentality. However, even with Van der Vaart, who had a great career, he still suffered from mentality issues himself because his fitness wasn't always up to par and also started having issues with his weight.
With Sancho I really wouldn't be surprised if it was a mentality issue. Just look at him responding to his manager after his manager tries a classic way of motivating his player. By giving him a bit of critique in the media. Players with good mentality get annoyed and upset by that, but they keep it to themselves and then show their managers they are wrong by pulling off great performances. This has happened a lot before.

Aside from Rashford (who's only ever known Utd life) I can't think of a Man Utd player post Fergie who doesn't wholeheartedly regret signing for Man Utd. It's frustrating that no one seems to be dissecting the wording of this and is just jumping onto Sancho V Ten Hag
If you look at the wording of his tweet: "I have conducted myself very well in training", it comes off to me to be more that he's reacting to a question regarding his attitude and professionalism - which I believe he's wrongly misunderstood - while Ten Hag was referring to the relative form of players he placed ahead of him not his attitude or professionalism. I would gather that the media coverage questioning him about the mental holiday from the manager last season is enough for him to be abe bit touchy and defensive about any subsequent questions regarding his "attitude".
Most likely, this was just a misunderstanding that will not be resolved as they can't understand each other's viewpoint and Sancho will go in January (if ETH remains manager) or we'll hear that it was resolved at the end of international break when they get back to training so MU can have some positive spin on the club in the midst of all the bullshit they've had lately.

I don't think a manager should ever publicly try and shame a player, how would you feel if your manager posted on the company social X is doing a bad job at work. Some might say its a good wake up call for them but others might feel hurt and betrayed.
At the end of the day a managers job is to manage people , and it seem that ETH isn't really good at people management otherwise he would have known if i push this persons button it might backfire

Think Sancho tried creating a me vs him with his response to the media. ..in truth he has given United fans nothing with his performances to suggest he has been hard done by. He should take a leaf out of Wan Bisakas book who faced a similar situation but he knuckled down and did his talking on the pitch.

You guys keep on making the case for Sancho. So everyone right now is telling me that Ten Hag is picking players based on performance... Antony is a starter, and Sancho isn't even on the bench. Maguire and Evans come in. There isn't a world where Antony is considered a starter, and Sancho isn't even considered bench worthy. I think Ten Hag plays favorites. He has media connections. He is allowed to go public. The club is allowed to go public. Players however cannot. If the argument is keeping things in house... that goes for everyone. Not just the players. Rashford was a terrible example. He was named on the bench that day. Was still giving an opportunity even after being late. Sancho wasn't even named to the team sheet. Let's not get it twisted. Ten Hag refuses to sub out Bruno, Rashford, and Antony. Those are his favorites. It will start to have an effect on other teammates. Especially deserving ones and especially when Ten Hag goes public with his reasons why he didn't pick someone.

Instead of taking accountability for his team's loss to arsenal, he instead threw a guy under the bus that wasn't even on the team sheet, embarrassing and weak move from him. Personally, I don't think this is as much as it's been blown up to be. I don't think this is on the same level as the Kepa/Sarri incident, it's not even close to the Ronaldo/Ten Hag bust up. It seems to me like a player speaking their mind after being disgruntled at not playing, rather than him going after the manager.
That being said, if Sancho thinks his current levels are good enough when he's the highest paid player in the team, he should think again. I don't think theres a single United fan who would side with Sancho over Ten Hag. And if he does end up going (as early as January some reports are saying) rather than fighting for his spot, thats such a disappointment because I've been waiting for Sancho to have a proper 9 to work with since he came in, I thought there might be an opportunity for him to show the creative ability he has which Rashford and Antony don't, and you might see him take one of their spots.
