Cool video. I have that same bike with a different paint scheme. It's the best bike I've ever had and it's not even close. I'm not a racer, just a rider and while I like the fact it has Tarmac geometry, it's a plus for me it's not as stiff as an anvle. Repeating myself here - I love this bike!
Aethos is no joke on rough roads. I live in New York no smooth tarmac. 28 turbo cotton all day. Great report also

Spent some time in Kuwait, the Old Souk is great for shopping and eating, when riding on the highway outside Kuwait City you need to keep an eye out for camels, they’re a lot bigger than deer!

I'm having a bit of a "grass is greener" dilemma after buying a 2021 Roubaix this spring (Di2 & 303FC) and now watching so many Aethos videos. Yours is especially troubling. Sub 15 lbs w/pedals and cages is staggering. Nicely presented, enjoyed going along for the ride.
Got to have some Ibis Ripley. Mountain bikes need riding too! Get on it, please DK. LOVE seeing the big mother mountain crew back at it, mobbing Portland too.

Flat bar gravel sucks. The Spez Evo is a good bike however but not as a flat bar bike but rather as a drop bar bike. It has very similar geo to the Stigmata.

Damn I miss PDX. I lived there for a year. One of my favorite places in the world. And that says a lot from someone that is from Miami, FL. Nice video btw. I use to ride with a group of guys. The. Lawyers ride I believe it was called. 2 lawyers started the group.

Absolutely beautiful bike
Definitely a dream bike. It’s great that specialized made something for riders instead of just racers. I built up an Open Min.D because it has a similar philosophy behind it but was slightly friendlier to my wallet.
So cool you got to try one of those. I would love to try such a lightweight high performance machine. Thanks the review and taking us along for yet another killer ride!

The two most comfortable saddles I’ve ever owned are the Power Mirror and Selle Anatomica. My butt still gets sore on both. It just takes longer.

Thanks for the review. I'm in the market for a new road bike. My local shop is trying to convince me to buy an Aethos, but I just don't like the look. It's a lot of money, and if I have to look at it for several years, its gotta be pretty!

DK! Do you notice a dramatic difference in elevation values from RWGPS and your Hammerhead K2? I seem to always see a significant increase in elevation gain when I transfer routes to the unit.
+1 for the dub ps: 6k in elevation, you cats are rock stars!

As long as the sky is the limit I'd like to see a review of the Bearclaw Thunderhawk with the optional Ti fork (plastic forks are for picnics not bikes, hehe).

9r Aethos is worth to buy, it is still around 700g frame weight, and much more durable than s-works and 10r versions.

@@bobmajob1 From one Campy guy to another. It is the bomb. My second ride on the new build was a 58 mile gravel grind in horrible central Texas July heat/humidity. It is flawless. Crisp shifts etc brakes amazing, life is short pull the trigger my friend.

I have been looking for critical review for aethos and still waiting for a decent one. Ordered a pro this morning - it cost 8500 bucks for 2022 version. It has a power meter now for an extra 1100….rest remain almost the same.
