Is so bad that the fact he can make combos with 7k of damage without bars or assist when the common damage is 4k-5k is not really important hahaha.
When I was new I was labbing him out and having a damn good time Then I went into an actual game and had my 2H clash with a projectile assist and never played him again

I get the impression that Arcsys doesn't like high tier zoners, and they're afraid of Frieza being that. I think they still have scars from how retarded some of BlazBlue's zoners and keepaway characters were in the first game. While I didn't play the first game, my understanding is that Rachel and Mu were Launch Peacock levels of stupid and broken. I think that's also why Vegeta Blue took so long to get buffed, if I had to wager a guess they originally envisioned him as a neutral and zoning focused character, as a counterpart to Blue Goku's rushdown. At least, judging by the buffs he did get, which have actually made his keep away game pretty viable. But then the question remains, if they buffed him, why not buff Frieza too? Not to mention Janemba is basically a better frieza with less zoning but stronger pokes, mixup tools and even the ability to combo off full screen opportunistic hits, which in DBFZ's meta just makes him an altogether better character, even if the damage isn't as good. I have to wonder if maybe this is some weird thing with the developers at Arcsys liking Cell, being less of a fan of Frieza, and being resentful that Japan likes Frieza more than Cell.
Which frieza eventually learned how to do, after he was resurrected in DBS and trained for 4 months. So they pretty much reversed his character development
It's kinda depressing too cause he is a strict zoner in a rushdown favored game. Some other zoners (or pseudo ones like DBZ Broly) have tools to atleast win neutral and mess the opponent up in the first place

Actually saw a super badass clip recently. Beerus can TOD without assists or meter, it's nuts. Wish I could remember what character it worked on, I don't think it was on big body only or anything tho.
I think if there was gonna be a big overhaul for chop damage Frieza would be much better. I have like 400 hours in the character and most people I win against simply don't know what to do other than block, and then when I play someone who knows what to do the game is over
I was a user of the freeze b assist for frame traps and tick grabs AND for great neutral plus the fast start up made it work like a DP! The “buff” to it is actually a nerf imo haha it doesn’t work as good as it use to :/
Hey man, I'm making a video about Frieza. Attempt to be as not-derivative as I possibly can, but it's kind of necessary to include some of the same points. I'll definitely mention you in the description as I've most definitely seen this video and it's great.
I'm not very knowledgeable in this game, but maybe frieza is in a predicament similar to eliza or gigas in Tekken, where the high level players all consider them low tier and not tournament viable, but they don't get buffed because they already have annoying tricks that are easily exploited by casual players/the majority of the player base, so their actual win percentages aren't as bad as you might think. The big content creators and tournament players make characters seem worse than they are (from a normal players perspective at least)
@@thaygoxd Bro what planet are you living on, Black was considered top tier in Beta and Season 1 but he's fell off the map HARD. Awful and predictable mix, lacking stagger options, lacking zoning options... The only strong points of his character is how simple and easy he is to pick up (which just becomes a weakness at higher play), various disjointed attacks like 5H and 2H, good corner carry if you want to spend meter, and good assists. However those strengths mean nothing when there's tons of other characters in the game that already have those strengths, while also having a much better kit. He's just not a good character.

ArcSys is deliberately playing it safe with Frieza buffs because they don't want to make him a god, but unfortunately that leaves him in a position like Beerus was, where he was already weak and steadily becomes weaker due to the rest of the cast getting "their turn" for buffs. It's inevitable that one character will be inferior to another, and that low tiers and high tiers will always exist. There's nothing wrong with Frieza being "low tier", but it does seem somewhat unfair that other characters, Beerus included, received plenty while Frieza actually received NERFS. Hence, DBFZ hates Frieza.

Z Broly just delete Frieza just by existing. The moment Z Broly pull off Barrier, got 1 or 2 SD for free. Heck, even Season 1 Broly stomp Frieza.
