Good job picking LMR over Lethal Performance. LP would have told you they had the parts in stock and then made you wait months only to tell you they actually didn't have them in stock 😒

The most underrated channel on TH-cam… the editing alone is absolutely 🔥 add in all the knowledge and great builds Chris puts together is amazing. Best part he’s just a car guy wrenching on cars at home after work. 😎 Happy Holidays to you and your family sir we appreciate the footage.
Bro. Like I can’t stress it enough such amazing content you put out Chris. I honestly have so much respect and admiration for the dedication and the work you put in all these cars. That being says your videos are so awesome the editing background music even the little jokes here and there. Spot on my man and also thank you I learned so much from watching you.
HOOOOW can you not have more subscribers and views, your channel is literally my favourite on youtube atm. Love your videos, always looking forward for the next to see your progress. Please never stop.
Also Chris, while you're at it, one of the 'must do' things with these cars is replace the passenger side secondary tensioner. It is an incorrect design from SVT. Cobra Engineering makes the correct one out of billet aluminum. Ask James about it. A very worthy upgrade in probably everyone's opinion who rebuilds the engine in these cars.
Stumbled on your channel and it giving me hope for the engine noise I have on my 03 redfire. It was perfect when I owned it the first time. Now owning it the second time I rescued it from just sitting. I have gone through the whole car but engine work on 4v have always intimidated me. Glad I found your channel!
Your comment on the imperfections of the valve covers. Being a novice in the extreme that I am…. I think it looks bad ass!. It looks mean! with the little imperfections you called out in the video… love sonic blue too…. outstanding…thank you.
Iron block is stronger than a Teksid FYI. But the 68lbs savings is nice and it's still plenty strong for probably 90% or better of set ups. There's no denying the new edges are pigs, anywhere you can afford to shave weight with no compromise, you do it! 😂
Nice work Chris. Cobra guy here and been here since the beginning. Your content is awesome. One thing that I wanted to add since I’ve been down the cobra rebuild route is make sure to pull apart your oil cooler and flush out the inner cartridge multiple times with cleaner then multiple times with hot oil. I would hate to see you run sparkles into that perty new engine. Keep rolling bud, good stuff.
The oil cooler had me worried too. A few years back Sean Hyland made a CD, "How to rebuild the Ford 4.6 Engine". In the section on Inspection at the 3:00min mark, he recommends replacing the oil cooler and suggests that it is not rebuildable. If it were my car I wouldn't risk it. I look forward to Chris's videos, especially the Terminator ones, they are exceptionally well done.
Love the fact that you are sooooo clean with everything you do!! Very organized as well! Love your work because i can relate so much on the ''clean freak' aspect! Keep em coming Chris!
The 4.6L DOHC block is a 6 bolt main. It’s a killer block. 4 on each main cap and 1 on the side of the block into the main. Definitely an under appreciated engine. I miss my 03 Mach 1. I look forward to watch your build. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoy your channel. They're Are other channels who ,do what you do but you're Talents are unique and special. Your channel is very much needed in the Automotive world . I learn something new every time You work doing something on a engine or the body of a car. You do a great job. I wish you much success on your channel.
Came across your video at just the right time. Building the engine in my 2005 Aviator. Vapor blasted all the aluminum parts. Powder coated blue the valve and timing covers. Almost the same shade of blue as yours. Replacing all timing components, new valves, lash adjusters, roller followers and Comp cams stage one cams. $$$ Sourcing parts from MMR, Rock Auto, Summit Racing and Jegs. Thanks for showing some part numbers for additional parts I am currently ordering. Love these engines but they are very expensive to build.
Love your videos man! I'm still trying to come to grips that 03/04 Cobras are 20 years old now.....Seems just unreal to me how fast those years flew. I remember hearing all the rumors about these late '01-early '02 and then seeing them come out and how well they responded to pulley swaps, tunes, exhaust etc.
The reason they were so legendary is because of their potential. What they did stock was also impressive for that time especially at their price range but their legendary status isn't because of that its the potential they had. They kept breaking rods in testing so they were forced to throw in manly h beam rods factory which costed them alot more because factory rod tech wasn't good then they hadn't figured out how to make them strong yet cheaper yet like they did with the 07 up gt500 and coyotes later on. They were powder forged and can still take some good power but not as much as the h beam obviously they're actually forged. So because of the engine being so overbuilt you can just throw whatever at it like modern cars but it's 20 years old. People are spoiled now you can just buy a base gt and make alot this wasn't the case in 2003. These things were so far ahead of their time. I was 19 when they first dropped summer 02 never forget it

Honestly Chris, you do a really great job with your narration and videos. I also love the “real life” content, something someone could do in their garage. Hey, I wanted to suggest, instead of putting on the ford mechanics emblem that assembled that engine, you should get a reproduction plate and sign your own name on it cause you did build it😁 So far everything you’ve done is exactly what I would have chosen. You should make SEMA next year, seriously. 🫵🏻👊🏻👋🏻
Hell yeah dude I'm all in on this build. Not only because I love my Fords but because I'm 43 and always wanted that year and color Mustang. Sonic blue metallic is just suck a sweet color. I had a 98 cobra in black with the gold racing stripes and a mild build. KB supercharger and a built rear and upgraded clutch with some other odds and ends. I was 20 when I did it so don't quote me but I believe it was about 615 to the wheels. Such a fun car. But I have a 03 f250 6.8 v10 in sonic blue lol.
2 cleaners that work extremely well and are cheap are Crown PSC 1000 parts cleaner solution (Tractor Supply). It is low voc but works. For decreasing, Totally Awesome Cleaner (Dollar Tree and many others). It actually works better than Gunk. I was blown away that it's super cheap but works. Just don't leave it on bare aluminum for too long. Just like Gunk, Purple Power and Simple green it will darken aluminum if left too long. Enjoy your channel btw👍
I had my 4.6 in my 05 fully built and let me tell you they are near bullet proof after! Ppl widely underestimate what a 4.6 2v, 3v or 4v can do! Great video!
Love that color cris and assume content you are putting out to us viewers, also love the ford cobra I use to have a white cobra but had to let it go to do the family thing,so just keep making these great videos.
Working your magic again I see. Love the content bro as you know how to process all the details into an elaborate build to this "Cheap" Cobra. This thing is going to be an absolute Beast when it's all done. Still scratching my head as to why those heads are torqued that way.
@@ChrisSullivan69 You going to clean up the supercharger the same way for some paint? I think it'd look pretty sick to get that to match in the blue and silver of the engine bay. Another car to add to the great builds you've had roll through your garage. It really shows everyone what someone with some skill, patients, and an insane amount of ingenuity can do on their own.
If you don’t know those 97 cobra cams make more power than any other factory cam set. That’s what’s on the stroker on my channel. They have a little more lift and do seem to make a good difference. Love the build man 👍👍👍
You sir have a strange knack for finding amazing deals! Not just any deals, but mustang deals. Mustang parts are insanely expensive these days, so it great to see someone who loves these cars like you do find the deals. Keep up the awesome content! 👍🐴
Really good stuff enjoying the vids. Would suggest doing head studs. That way when you get a bigger blower (you're going to as they are magic on built motors) you don't have to go pulling the car apart to do the studs. Skip the 8740 and just go straight to 2000's. Also, on the extra timing cover bolt hole for the Teksid, if you flip around the Cobra Engineering drill fixture, it will perfectly line up one of the holes where you need to drill into the block. You only need about 10-12mm of depth. 15mm or more and you risk puncturing through to the water jackets. Then just cut/shorten one of the timing cover bolts and plug the old hole with a set screw and sealant. That's the right way to do it. Also make sure to upgrade the oil pump gears to billet.
This channel is great, one man show, all the details, all the labor, all the skills hes got. what a life, do your thing dude
Glad you enjoy it!

Heck yeah...my dad has a '53 Ford F100 in sonic blue.
Can’t wait to watch this tonight.
Great work on getting the block and heads.
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesomeness Chris, loving your channel!!
Thanks 👍
Would love a video on your training/ background.
Hell yeah !!! Coming out SWEET !!! ✊️
Working your magic again I see. Love the content bro as you know how to process all the details into an elaborate build to this "Cheap" Cobra. This thing is going to be an absolute Beast when it's all done. Still scratching my head as to why those heads are torqued that way.
Much appreciated!
Awesome progress, sonic blue ftw 🤜🏼🤛🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
🤙🤙
Dude u gt a helll of a deal on that block dude thats a steal my guy
Right?!
Greetings Chris, Wow looks like a lot of work, looking forward to see the Outcome. Another Great Video 👍 👍
Thanks for saving this car Chris!
My pleasure!
If you don’t know those 97 cobra cams make more power than any other factory cam set. That’s what’s on the stroker on my channel. They have a little more lift and do seem to make a good difference. Love the build man 👍👍👍
This build is turning into one if my favorites!! I can't wait for the next video!!👍👍💪💪
Dude, the content is awesome. Thank you for the work you put in to these videos!
Glad you enjoy them!
You sir have a strange knack for finding amazing deals! Not just any deals, but mustang deals. Mustang parts are insanely expensive these days, so it great to see someone who loves these cars like you do find the deals. Keep up the awesome content! 👍🐴
Just came across this channel. Excellent work and super clean. Subscribed
Thanks and welcome!
Awesome tip my man. I'll check that out. Much appreciated!
How do we go about potentially buying from you?
