SHE'S FIXED!!! FIRST DRIVE In my CHEAP 2003 SVT Cobra!

- Time to figure out what that pesky tapping/knocking noise is that took the wind out of my sails on first startup. Once that is sorted its time to fix a few leaks, and take this thing for its first drive since probably 2021 or 2022 when it blew up! Much more to come on this project and I'm already hard at work on the next video!
Send me stuff!

you're killing us smalls, hitting refresh on YT every hour for a week to see if some Mustang is running 20 states away...lol
Lmao appreciate you!
You need a hobby
@@lg740xx he clearly has a hobby.... Watching the Chris Sullivan TH-cam channel 😊👌🏾
@@lg740xxbut here you are commenting under him🤔 so I guess it takes one to kno one lol
Same I found his channel last week now I'm getting off work checking to see if he fixed it I'm hooked 😊.
Chris, something I really like about your channel is that you’re not afraid to show mistakes made or self-inflicted problems, like forgetting to install the spring when you were putting the suspension together. That happens to all of us who work on cars where we have to deconstruct a few hours of work and start over from time to time. It shows me that you and your channel are completely genuine and I appreciate that.
Happens to the best of us! Thanks for watching
It’s relieving seeing a terminator restored to its glory, instead of being parted out. You did a killer job!
It's probably the most solid clutch rebuild series on YT. Great job! Love your videos.
Glad you enjoy them!
@ChrisSullivan69 I definitely did. Some of the most fun I have had in a car was a 03 Cobra. It had Stiegemeier ported blower. That thing was fast as ####, and would scream so loud, haha! I would love to get to drive that fresh sonic blue, haha. She is pretty.
Hard work pays off guys! Don't just sit here and watch him. Go out and start your own build!!!
Chris has motivated me to start my own page cause have several cars I feel somewhat worthy of content and been into cars since i was 5. Chris is the man!
I’ve been panicked for weeks this motor was shot on first start up! Love seeing her back on the road. Doing the Lord’s work 🤘🏻
How does this channel not have 200k subscribers?!?!?! Badass Terminator man!
because its a real channel and not a business. Let's pray he doesn't start doing giveaway bullshit and all the other crap that ruins channels
@@horsecockexpress7612 100x agree!
This channel is super good. Chris is legit We need to help him grow this channel exponentially so he can quit his job and do this full time so we can get more vids consistently.
It’s so impressive how talented you are with just automobiles in general Chris. I bought my ‘69 Mustang and it’s a project. Watching you go to work on your cars inspires me to get off my rear end and get it finished.
Let's go!
This is an awesome series. I got sucked in from the first video!
Man, you literally BUILT A PERFORMANCE ENGINE in your garage for your own car. I'm hopefully starting mechanic school this year and you are a huge inspiration, I hope to be doing the same for myself someday soon.
Thanks for all the content and good vibes!
🤙🤙
You are a hell of a mechanic Chris. You make it all look simple which is why i say you are a hell of a mechanic! Love your videos...I am still just stumped as to why you don't have at least a million followers. Your content is just raw and real my dude! By far the realest on you tube. You use your earned money and skills to fix damn near anything. No give aways, no sponsors....just you and hard work. Props man! cant wait for the next video....keep em coming please!
Why Chris doesn’t have a million subs is beyond me,one of the best channels on YT.
When driving a faceplated transmission you need to drive it like you stole it. You can’t granny shift it like a stock transmission. Glad to see it running and driving! Great job!
Glad to see it was relatively quick to swap out & fix 🙌 The viscosity of the oil being too thick is a theory i'd agree with. Sounds smooth as butter now!
🎉 By far the best you tube channel out there for real men who work 👏 🙌
that faceplated trans wants to be quickly and deliberately shifted into gear even while cruising even though it feel weird to do. sick build!
“There’s a technique for driving a face plated transmission, and I don’t have it yet”😂😂 I’m crying bruh I’m so happy for you bruh everyone in here that turn wrenches feel for you mane great job!
Favorite build on TH-cam currently, enjoying the channel. Keep it up.
That feeling you got at 33:38 is what makes all the pain worth it. Good job! Looking forward to the rest of the build.
Great to see it running again! Cant wait to see the videos of it getting cleaned up. 👍
Been waiting for this one!!! The suspense has killed me!! LOL!!
I’m so happy to see she’s running smoothly. Congratulations!!
Great content as always don't change anything chris!
Been here since "cheapest cts-v"!
My man 🤝
Really enjoy your videos. Looking forward to the rest of this build. Congratulations on the easy fix!
way to go Chris. Nice build so far. I am looking forward to the rest of this build.
So awesome! It's great to see the progression this beaten cobra has gone through. Keep the videos coming! 🤘
So happy to hear it was just that simple of a fix.
This is amazing you make all this look so flawless its honestly art
Awesome work sir. Thanks for sharing the journey.😊

Man, I am incredibly greatful that youtube recommend the video when you went and picked this up. I am constantly waiting for new videos, and always you on in the background while working in the garage! You make AMAZING content Chris, thank-you!
Having video of everything is a awesome benefit to go back and look
Well done Chris. Can’t wait to see more updates and stuff get crossed off the whiteboard.
Congrats man! After the last video I was bummed for you. I'm super stoked to see that you got it fixed and driving man. Job well done and killer videos to boot!
Love this series, hope it continues !
Chris, you are definitely the man with a plan. Congrats bro, I was really hoping nothing was damaged from the tapping/knocking. Glad to see project Blue is back on track, and all systems are go!
So happy you made out without needing to pull the engine. This is going to be a sweet setup. Great video as always sir
Awesome man love how you get us through the struggles to the finding out the the satisfaction of getting her done and getting to enjoy her find motivation in guys like you keep on doing you your doing great and thanks man 🙏🔥
Engine sounds great after the fix. Hope there are no more negative surprises! Congrats on a job well done.
Good job Chris! Looking forward to you putting your style into the Cobra!
I felt that leaving the spring out in my soul
I’m posting on my turbo single cab build right now, you inspired me to get back to it
She’s Alive!! I’m so glad you found the issue and it was an easy fix! Looking forward to seeing more!
20 Years ago, its twin used to burble by my house every afternoon. It sounded beautiful, just like yours. Enjoy.
Good job! Always a great feeling getting to this point
That is freaking awesome, so glad that tapping noise wasn't a major problem, she sounds amazing, and those face
plated trans are a different animal, you will get it. Can't wait to see what's is store next, she sounds so
freaking amazing, great job Chris.
Yo Chris so far this has been a great series on this build. Glad it was a minor issue with the motor, and good luck with the rest of the build. Waiting patiently for more.
Congratulations, Sir. Sounds magnificent
Very relieving for the fix to be this quick and simple!! Was worried the engine had chronic damage.
Great to see and glad it wasn’t fatal Chris. Looking forward to the continuation on it.
Great job man, glad it was somewhat easy and nothing too crazy. The front springs were kind of funny though, lol. Keep up the great work and videos!
Yeahhhhhhh! Congrats man. Super glad that lash adjuster or rocker didn’t land in a bad spot and chew up the head. Excited to see the detailing videos!
From one Kris to another Chris , great job my guy 🤘🏻
It's finally done...your focus and determination is truly inspiring. That's a sweet sonic blue termi, however, I prefer the IRS instead of SRA in the rear.
Glad it ended up being an easy fix, I cant wait for the episode when you paint correct her!
Glad to see it run down the street. Been waiting everyday since day one for updates on it.
Can’t wait to see this car complete and ready to tear up the streets. Amazing job so far COBRO
Awesome job! I absolutely love your videos! Thank you!
Your ability to diagnose the problem is impressive. Your attention to detail is top-notch. Keep up the good work. Would you consider a C5 project next?😊
She sounds healthy bro! Keep them videos coming I enjoy watching them. I’m a ford guy with little to no mechanical skills. I’m learning slowly but surely
Love your vids Chris! Keep up the good work bro!
Awesome job on the motor, the valvetrain sounds amazing, very impressive, Great job I can't wait to see it rip the tires off.
Congratulations Chris. It was so exited seeing the Cobra running. Keep learned from you Boss.
Sounds amazing! Well done Chris!
Glad to see the tapping noise was a fairly easy repair.
Chris, that PAINTERS TAPE on the valve cover is killing my OCD!. I hope it hasn't damaged the PAINT on your valve cover. I speak from experience. When heated, that adhesive is hard to remove. Congrats on your latest project!
This is the first project that I watched on your channel. Looking forward to the rest of this build. Awesome job!
Welcome aboard!
Great video man. Love to see troubleshooting and build videos!!
What an epic project and journey! Great work Chris, can't wait to see what you have in store for this gem. 🙌 God bless!
Very common for this to happen with 4v/2v modulars. Glad you got it figured out
Love your vids man. Great to see a fellow MA/NH car guy making it in the TH-cam scene. Keep going
🤙🤙
She’s running and driving! Badass!! Great video bro
One of the best one man show car channels ... that actually add some value. Good work man!
Appreciate it my man
Nice job Chris !!! glad the noise wasn't serious.
Congrats!! Boy that must’ve felt good to find a simple issue!!
Nice job man. I know that felt so good running it after that mountain of work. Be proud of yourself for sure.
Congratulations. Luckily all is well sounds great. She is ready to roll out.
🤙🤙
Mr. Sullivan has blessed us with this fine video on the 25th day of January. Halleluja
Loved the video! Can't wait for the mods on the next one.
Sounds SOOOOO GOOD!!
GREAT JOB CHRIS !! GLAD YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO PULL THIS ENGINE OUT AGAIN !!! KEEP THEM VIDEOS COMING !! JESSE VIA LAS VEGAS
learn a lot from watching your channel. your knowledge of cars is insane! keep it up 👍🏾
The Cobra looks good, nice job.
Good to see another Cobra back on the road. Currently on my 3rd, and plan to keep this one indefinitely.
Good choice! Only going up in value from here
Glad to see that this is all sorted out. I just picked up a Sonic Blue 03 Cobra myself. Can't wait for the roads and weather to improve up here so I can start driving it
Congrats!
@@ChrisSullivan69 Thanks!
MERCA !!!!
Wow amazed great work ..I remembered the day you drove in rain to pick it up //I must say it’s definitely 💯 a rebuild amazing!!!
Discovered this channel 2 weeks ago been loving it sense🤙🏻
Excellent progress saving this cobra. The rear end is going to be squirrelly without a panhard bar so take it easy. If you notice the limited slip act up, buy some ford friction modifier and throw it in the diff cover. 👍
Man I in join watching ur videos and the work you put in ur cars just love it can’t wait for the next video GREAT WORK
Badass stuff man. You staying motivated through the ups and downs of these projects speaks to your skill and patience. Gorgeous platinum btw🤘
Thank you sir!
Once again, another great video. I wait for these. I'm looking forward to the next.
Nicely done. Enjoyed the music, editing and the work. I remember driving a bolt on Terminator back in 2007.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@ChrisSullivan69 You actually provide a lot of inspiration to some of us who recently got chewed and spit out by Corporate America and had enough, so thank you again. If I knew 25 years ago when I know now, I would have done what you are doing.
Congratulations man!!! Looks great
Congrats! She looks and sounds beautiful brother. I too have an SCT xcal4 and I never did the update on it. SCT is sketch with their updates. If i ever run into issues with it id go with the MS3 Pro megasquirt. I'm sure you could tune it yourself if you had to go that route.
This engine Sounds absolutely awesome love it
So glad it worked out well mate
Love the vids man using them as a guide for my 2001 mustang😎
