The best part about the first 4 Seagal movies is how interchangeable they are. You could just break them into 5 mins chunks, shuffle them around, and still have a kick ass Seagal movie.

Screwface : I know you: you love the killing. But you's an empty shell inside. Remember this line from this movie to this day.
Your sturdy jabs at how ludicrous the idea that Keith David's character can just up and leave and not get in trouble for it made me laugh until I teared up when I first watched this.. that's so damn true, and that lingers in my head every time I watch this. It looked like he was the HEAD coach of that team too because he was running that practice and being the loudest guy there which makes it even more ludacris. As a member of a legit HF football staff it's absolutely insane to me that he could just fly to Jamaica in the middle of the season and get away with it; plus there is the fact he willingly went drinking with Hatcher out in public with his damn coaching outfit on. In real life if a moral majority parent were to have see a coach out and about looking like that he/she would be fired so fast they couldn't defend theirselves. That Chicago district must have some seriously lax moral conduct codes and vacation time clauses.. this dude practically gets away with murder in front of everyone's eyes.. all just so he could fulfill a lust to kill idiots like in his glory days.
Gotta love these Segal movies.. the characters in them all have insane blood lusts. Both Screwface and David's guy are two of the most random and funniest examples of that.

Great review for a great movie, Distracted Nerd. Although Seagal was fun for me to see in movies, I realize now looking back the man has little to zero acting range. After seeing the movie Marked For Death now I realize Screw Face's death was over down. Impaling him, in my opinion, wouldn't have been enough. A good comment you brought up about Hatcher's niece. Was she going to be okay after the hospital scene? Since they didn't show any more scenes with her, hopefully she was going to be okay. By the way, the actor that played Screw Face was fantastic.
If you remember the scene where screwface and his henchmen broke into hatchers house while his sister was there and were gonna kill her, she was on the phone with hatcher prior to it and said Tracy was gonna be fine, that her mom was staying overnight so she could rest. just a little detail but def would have been good to get an actual scene.

I think they hide the weapons in camera equipment. This and Under Siege are my favorite Segal movies. Although I did like his death scene in Executive Decision.
Why not mention the Santeria curse scene lol? Was it real? The supernatural part of SF's power is later explained but not this part. SF even went as far as ending the Santeria priestess in his on Voodoo ritual. Just an oddity like the club song lol.
