Finally when he’s in the prison, he gets stabbed to death by a fellow prisoner. This fellow then takes the knife and carves a Heath Ledger type glasgow smile on his own face. Credits roll, with the song “That’s life”/Lady Gaga cover. The movie is a comment on celebrity worship, horrible fans who view their favourites as only a symbol and live vicariously through them, in this case, adopt Joker’s violent tendencies. The leak saying he'll die in the explosion has to be fake. We literally see Arthur survive the explosion in the trailer and him fleeing from the court with debri all over his suit Edit:I think I'm wrong because I noticed he'll have 2 court dates and you can tell because he wears 2 different suits. His red one from the first movie and his yellow and brown one he wears while fleeing the cops. The explosion will happen during the last court date while he's wearing his red suit. According to some source they cut the scene from the stairs that leaked during filming with Joker and Harley dancing together. Some of the comments in that video back like 2023 saying that Harley is going to be in Joker's mind and she's not going to be real person. So MAYBE Todd Phillips saw that people comments about that and spoiled the ending so he decided to cut the scene? and change the ending.

What's with the hate? This isn't even a synopsis anymore just straight up going over the entire film and leaking it. There won't be a Joker 3 because Joaquin just explained in the interview that he is nearly 50 and might put his health at risk by losing weight again for the role 🙄 He's done SPECTACULAR on 1st Joker as I anticipated before the film release... this time I don't have high expectations on this Folie á Duex. Joker films were never going to be Joker films in the sense of what the fans expected..... they are basically TP making a 1975-1980 Martin Scorsese/Di Nero movie.... if you take out all the Batman references, you have a pretty good/solid psychological drama which is probably a $500-700 movie at the box office.... you tie in the Batman references, and that add's a extra $300-400m at the box office.... never quite got how people think we are going to get a proper Batman v Joker story out of this, as Arthur is in his 40's and Bruce is only 11-14 years old in this, meaning Joker would be close to 60 by the time Batman starts to appear on the scene.

I agree with you mostly, for me though if you take away the batman connection you have a pretty average film at face value. It probably wouldn't have even been made.
i personally don’t think joker dies here, mainly because we see glimpses of him surviving the explosion, either wondering around the rubble, or running in the streets of gotham away from the police in a burned, ashy gray suit. there’s also leaked footage of him and lee on the iconic joker stairs, but if for whatever reason that footage gets deleted, this will be very disappointing to say the least.

If that is in fact the ending I don't think I'm thrilled about it at all. That said, even if Joker does die the idea of Joker is still alive even in that universe.

@@michaelkaggwa4915 see the whole movie is a dichotomy of Arthur (real) and Joker(more of an alter ego with lots of fantasy musical scenes). In the movie, in an imagination scene- Lee kills the joker. But in the real world, Arthur fleck is killed, in fact stabbed to death by a random inmate at Arkham. This inmate first kills Arthur, and then uses a knife to carve a Heath ledger style smile on his own face (indicating that he’s the true joker). Essentially movie ends with a note that Arthur was never really the joker and he inspired others to take up that identity.

Doesn’t really surprise me if that’s the ending. Todd Philips even said that this version isn’t supposed to be the version we all have seen. And that this joker being a crime boss and having henchmen isn’t what his version of joker is. He isn’t doing that, he is doing his own thing. Which I give props to but it all depends on the execution as stated in the video. If it is the end of JP joker, there are others in this universe to play around with. But I can’t say what it can be bc I haven’t seen the movie

Nah, they do have a Batman but he's like 10 rn which Joker actually is much older than Batman in the comics hence why Joker always has the wits, experience and so good at keeping up with Batman but Batsy keeps up They've actually met in the original film

It's like when Batman went to another continent as Bruce Wayne to train and become a Samurai where he learned to be good at combat, he was figuring himself out and learning about himself. No one just naturally is the best fighter on the planet without training. So you can imagine Joker was from another country, a foreigner and has been doing a plethora of crimes over there then maybe noticed Batman on the news and decided to take his talents and skills to the US in Arkham and start crimes there cause he seen Batman as fun and competition. If it’s the same director I’ll watch the film , if not I’m not really interested . Maybe I will watch maybe I won’t , depends on the story and where the direction is going to go . I like to see a development of different sides of a character whether being Batman or Joker . The Batman’s Joker is almost the same as Dark Knights Joker going off the cut scene with Joker and Batman which they could had left in the film . Agree, DC needed a hit, and while the DCEU flounders, they will happily take anything they can get and make it work. Agree on Lady Gaga, she is good, but she needs people to bounce off (Star is Born, I say its Cooper that carries that film, while Gaga is basically playing herself when the camera's are off.... and House of Gucci, she is basically bouncing off Jared Leto who is cranking it up to 11, and Al Pachino who cranking it up to 11 is him holding back) I do not think a spin off movie with her as the lead would work (WB/DC might attempt it, but its going to be like the Batman movies with Schumacher took over from Burton)

I expect that ALL the musical scenes are in Lee's head (she is apparently suppose to be a very musical/arty person), which Arthur is not....I bet is she is the real antagonist in this movie, as Arthur wants to be punished for what he did, but Lee is trying to make Joker come to the surface, and stay there.... I kind of like the Joker and Harley Quinn as villains who get that gleeful expression when doing bad things. Subtly. I dont think Lady Gaga can build a truly unique character. She doesn't have much range. And yes I get the irony but I dont consider Gaga on the whole as anything special, and yes, she can really sing. The clips look like she plays Harley like a limerent stalker not someone who had the inherent trait of able to be diabolical.

Yeah, Batman 2 was a masterpiece now THAT'S how you make a film. I so want Zoe Kravitz as rogue in the MCU and hopefully James Gunn gives us a comic accurate Batman who has his white eyes with his cowl. It worked and looked perfectly on The Wolverine, it can work for Batman too in the DCU

As a filmmaker and a fan of Joker I will say that no additional footage will be added to the film. The theaters already have the film a month in advance for preparation. I’ve heard that the explosion does kill Joker, and Harley walks out of the courtroom. I’ve also heard Harvey Dent is injured in this courtroom explosion, and we all know he turns into Two-Face. Now, what I will say is if this film makes billions, they will definitely do a Joker 3 Hollywood loves their $$$ and will cash in on this success!

He ends up alone and sad in prison and gets stabbed by a random prisoner who I assume was also disappointed in him like Lee was. All you really had to do was grow on Arthur’s mental health trauma, build on that and make him become a master manipulator with his lies and false sense of reality. we then get the mastermind manipulative joker that we know as the prince of crime. take over Arkham and wreck Gotham, then you could of had a bada$$$ end scene of him going out with the cops..

So for me it's now just a film about a man who dresses as a clown. He has taken a pretty poor story and got people interested in it by having the batman connection.

Bomb doesn’t kill him literally. He escapes and Lee breaks up with him because he actually at the end of the movie apologizes and shows sorrow for what he did. Lee looks down at him for this and breaks up with him after they both escape. He does actually die though when he gets sent back to the prison and gets stabbed to death by a random prisoner. Who then uses his blood to put a smile on his face literally. I guess showing that he technically was never the real joker. Idk why the prisoner stabs him though. Probably upset he admits he regretted what he did.

Remember these same mainstream reviews hated the 2019 Joker film and were claiming it was gonna cause some kind of Caucasian uprising. So why would they not try to spoil it and downplay this film. I watched a video where a guy read a review, and it said the film got a 5-minute standing ovation at the end.

I would think Joker survives the explosion. And the Universe of the Batman goes on, There is a deformed Joker at the end of it So the Joker 1 - 2 are actually prior to The Riddler Flooding the city

I do not think Todd Phillips plan was ever to make a comic book movie..... I think he always planned to do a movie in the sense of what Scorsase and Di Nero were doing from 1975 until 1980.... he then shoe horned a couple of Batman references in, but kept the main premise of the story he planned, but with it now effectively a Batman related story, it adds $400-500 extra to its box office gross straight away

The movie is a comment on celebrity worship, horrible fans who view their favourites as only a symbol and live vicariously through them, in this case, adopt Joker’s violent tendencies.

According to some source they cut the scene from the stairs that leaked during filming with Joker and Harley dancing together. Some of the comments in that video back like 2023 saying that Harley is going to be in Joker's mind and she's not going to be real person. So MAYBE Todd Phillips saw that people comments about that and spoiled the ending so he decided to cut the scene? and change the ending.

Joker films were never going to be Joker films in the sense of what the fans expected..... they are basically TP making a 1975-1980 Martin Scorsese/Di Nero movie.... if you take out all the Batman references, you have a pretty good/solid psychological drama which is probably a $500-700 movie at the box office.... you tie in the Batman references, and that add's a extra $300-400m at the box office.... never quite got how people think we are going to get a proper Batman v Joker story out of this, as Arthur is in his 40's and Bruce is only 11-14 years old in this, meaning Joker would be close to 60 by the time Batman starts to appear on the scene.

I agree with you mostly, for me though if you take away the batman connection you have a pretty average film at face value. It probably wouldn't have even been made.
i personally don’t think joker dies here, mainly because we see glimpses of him surviving the explosion, either wondering around the rubble, or running in the streets of gotham away from the police in a burned, ashy gray suit. there’s also leaked footage of him and lee on the iconic joker stairs, but if for whatever reason that footage gets deleted, this will be very disappointing to say the least.

i think DC should embrace the elseworlds set up, They can make original stories and takes of the characters while not labeling it as a cinematic universe. They can experiment on it a lot and take different themes. technically Joker and the batman didn't feel like superhero movies it just felt like the classic movies from the 70s where its focused on story rather than theatrics. I feel like DC is not playing their cards with this kinds of idea. They can make Movies with super hero characters and make it into character driven movies with different genres like noir, surrealism or even horror. I think DC should focus on making original stories instead of a cinematic universe. I would like to see a Martian manhunter with noir elements and take inspiration from the invasion of the body snatchers, the sign and even the thing into one movie. Alot of these movies would be experimental and low budget compared to the block buster and the good thing about this is that if it flops it wont be a big damage monetary wise for WB and they don't have to worry about making a sequel or a series unlike if a movie from a cinematic universe sucked it basically impacts everything. My point, DC needs to embrace original ideas and stray from comic book adaptations especially if they cant make a plan. The focus should be noir type or even pulp like. Tbh i DESPISE CINEMATIC UNIVERSES, i do like things to connect but not everything needs to nor do you need a cinematic universe for everything to connect.

In the movie, in an imagination scene- Lee kills the joker. But in the real world, Arthur fleck is killed, in fact stabbed to death by a random inmate at Arkham. This inmate first kills Arthur, and then uses a knife to carve a Heath ledger style smile on his own face (indicating that he’s the true joker). Essentially movie ends with a note that Arthur was never really the joker and he inspired others to take up that identity.

Doesn’t really surprise me if that’s the ending. Todd Philips even said that this version isn’t supposed to be the version we all have seen. And that this joker being a crime boss and having henchmen isn’t what his version of joker is. He isn’t doing that, he is doing his own thing. Which I give props to but it all depends on the execution as stated in the video.
If it is the end of JP joker, there are others in this universe to play around with. But I can’t say what it can be bc I haven’t seen the movie

If it’s the same director I’ll watch the film , if not I’m not really interested . Maybe I will watch maybe I won’t , depends on the story and where the direction is going to go . I like to see a development of different sides of a character whether being Batman or Joker . The Batman’s Joker is almost the same as Dark Knights Joker going off the cut scene with Joker and Batman which they could had left in the film . Agree, DC needed a hit, and while the DCEU flounders, they will happily take anything they can get and make it work. Agree on Lady Gaga, she is good, but she needs people to bounce off (Star is Born, I say its Cooper that carries that film, while Gaga is basically playing herself when the camera's are off.... and House of Gucci, she is basically bouncing off Jared Leto who is cranking it up to 11, and Al Pachino who cranking it up to 11 is him holding back) I do not think a spin off movie with her as the lead would work (WB/DC might attempt it, but its going to be like the Batman movies with Schumacher took over from Burton)

I expect that ALL the musical scenes are in Lee's head (she is apparently suppose to be a very musical/arty person), which Arthur is not....I bet is she is the real antagonist in this movie, as Arthur wants to be punished for what he did, but Lee is trying to make Joker come to the surface, and stay there.... As a huge Batman fan, I was not a fan of the first Joker or the Batman starring Robert Pattinson
I personally do not think either one of them are good movies or wolverine and Deadpool
But I think it suffers from the placebo effect

I kind of like the Joker and Harley Quinn as villains who get that gleeful expression when doing bad things. Subtly. I dont think Lady Gaga can build a truly unique character. She doesn't have much range. And yes I get the irony but I dont consider Gaga on the whole as anything special, and yes, she can really sing. The clips look like she plays Harley like a limerent stalker not someone who had the inherent trait of able to be diabolical.

Yeah, Batman 2 was a masterpiece now THAT'S how you make a film. I so want Zoe Kravitz as rogue in the MCU and hopefully James Gunn gives us a comic accurate Batman who has his white eyes with his cowl. It worked and looked perfectly on The Wolverine, it can work for Batman too in the DCU

As a filmmaker and a fan of Joker I will say that no additional footage will be added to the film. The theaters already have the film a month in advance for preparation. I’ve heard that the explosion does kill Joker, and Harley walks out of the courtroom. I’ve also heard Harvey Dent is injured in this courtroom explosion, and we all know he turns into Two-Face. Now, what I will say is if this film makes billions, they will definitely do a Joker 3 Hollywood loves their $$$ and will cash in on this success!

may be the leaked footage which shows that Arthur dies in explosion is not true because in the trailers and BTS they have already shown us Arthur survive the explosion ( while in a gray suit and yellow shirt ) that is why we think that some people were given a different cut which they will add more footage towards the Oct 4th

@@LaSalleProductions he escapes court. He dies in prison and Lee breaks up with him because he in the end apologizes and shows remorse who what he did in joker 1. He ends up alone and sad in prison and gets stabbed by a random prisoner who I assume was also disappointed in him like Lee was. I guess the message was he was the actual joke with the punchline being the people he inspired ? Idek but that’s the real ending.

I feel like this movie should have been a layup. All you really had to do was grow on Arthur’s mental health trauma, build on that and make him become a master manipulator with his lies and false sense of reality. we then get the mastermind manipulative joker that we know as the prince of crime. take over Arkham and wreck Gotham, then you could of had a bada$$$ end scene of him going out with the cops..

they wanted to not use the same Joker that's supposedly if this happens to the character Arthur flag they could always bring always bring up another Joker maybe Jack Napier they could always have that storyline and it could still continue that universe. if they wanted to do something maybe in TV Series wise they could do it or they could just do another film
i think DC should embrace the elseworlds set up, They can make original stories and takes of the characters while not labeling it as a cinematic universe. They can experiment on it a lot and take different themes. technically Joker and the batman didn't feel like superhero movies it just felt like the classic movies from the 70s where its focused on story rather than theatrics. I feel like DC is not playing their cards with this kinds of idea. They can make Movies with super hero characters and make it into character driven movies with different genres like noir, surrealism or even horror. I think DC should focus on making original stories instead of a cinematic universe. I would like to see a Martian manhunter with noir elements and take inspiration from the invasion of the body snatchers, the sign and even the thing into one movie. Alot of these movies would be experimental and low budget compared to the block buster and the good thing about this is that if it flops it wont be a big damage monetary wise for WB and they don't have to worry about making a sequel or a series unlike if a movie from a cinematic universe sucked it basically impacts everything. My point, DC needs to embrace original ideas and stray from comic book adaptations especially if they cant make a plan. The focus should be noir type or even pulp like. Tbh i DESPISE CINEMATIC UNIVERSES, i do like things to connect but not everything needs to nor do you need a cinematic universe for everything to connect.
So for me it's now just a film about a man who dresses as a clown.
He has taken a pretty poor story and got people interested in it by having the batman connection.

Bomb doesn’t kill him literally. He escapes and Lee breaks up with him because he actually at the end of the movie apologizes and shows sorrow for what he did. Lee looks down at him for this and breaks up with him after they both escape. He does actually die though when he gets sent back to the prison and gets stabbed to death by a random prisoner. Who then uses his blood to put a smile on his face literally. I guess showing that he technically was never the real joker. Idk why the prisoner stabs him though. Probably upset he admits he regretted what he did.

Remember these same mainstream reviews hated the 2019 Joker film and were claiming it was gonna cause some kind of Caucasian uprising. So why would they not try to spoil it and downplay this film. I watched a video where a guy read a review, and it said the film got a 5-minute standing ovation at the end.

I do not think Todd Phillips plan was ever to make a comic book movie..... I think he always planned to do a movie in the sense of what Scorsase and Di Nero were doing from 1975 until 1980.... he then shoe horned a couple of Batman references in, but kept the main premise of the story he planned, but with it now effectively a Batman related story, it adds $400-500 extra to its box office gross straight away
