Ohhhh I didn't even know there was a Preachers Bible from Thomas Nelson 😮 I've only ever heard & seen of the Crossway ESV Preachers. And that Bible has taken me years to get my hands on 🤣😂 Now I have get my hands on that one next. Thank you so much my amazing brother. When it came out some people thought that this text block deserved a better cover and overall binding… So, here it is, TN definitely heard people’s voices and delivered with this one. Adding to that, having non-premium options for $30 with this amazing text block is insane. They’re doing an awesome job IMO. Excellent and detailed review with perfect comparisons. It seems the premier collection vbv and Maclaren series is 99% the same. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am deciding between the two. I don’t like the flashy colored less-detailed Nelson maps. The margin at the gutter seems precious little.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Actually, the Premier Collection VBV has center column references, red letter for the words of Jesus, and it is a bit thinner as a Bible. The Maclaren series is a bit thicker, has black letter throughout and the references are at the bottom, centered. So there are considerable differences. Both are great Bible IMO, it really comes down to personal preference. I hope this helps!
What it seems like no reviewers point out or talk about is how the paragraphs in these Bibles run pretty close into the "gutter". This is a pet peeve of mine, because I often make notes beside the verses on the outer side of the page, and on the inside/gutter side of the page. Wide margin Bibles are way overkill, and are too big to use on the go, and just too ckunky in general.
Yeah, I hear you there... I too like to make annotations in the gutter and margins, that's why I use the NKJV Schuyler Quentel as my main Bible for now, it has awesome gutter space and it's not a wide margin so it's not huge. I prefer 36 GSM and I do have one of the first editions of the Quentel with that paper but that made it too thick for me, so the size of the 28 GSM is perfect, but the paper is a bit thin. Even so, it has resisted the annotations very well. Blessings!
My only issue is they really should have broken out the translator notes from the cross references. It’s SO hard to find them at the bottom when they’re all mixed together. The Quentel breaks them out into their own area and it’s brilliant.

The McLaren is like PREACHING bible by Nelson but smaller FONT..10.5 vs 11.5 which is also bigger than Quentel ...but same layout for 1/2 price. AND bigger FONT. NKJV NOW has PREACHING BIBLE. McLaren is not as good as preaching bible but dies have maps and concordance. Preaching font is bigger. Leather does not flop.

Brethren, actually we need only one good regular Bible. And sometimes compact Bible/NT edition. And maybe extra one good special Bible for deep studies (especially for brothers, the real men). But so called Study Bibles aren't needed> $ and distruction with waisting a lot of your precious time (read W.Tyndale's about, please). Jehovah Almighty God will suggest you what you really need, pray for that. Brethren, didn't you notice: premium Bibles simply spoil Christians. All the time they think and meditate about the leather and art-gild of their Bibles, but not about the very Word of God. So stick to the Holy Scriptures, REAL Word, not Critic•al text! That is the base of our faith and our protection...
Worst bible around! The NKJVB and Thomas Nelson bibles are corrupted. It has words added, words taken away, words changed, etc. Also, on some NKJV bibles, the triquetra symbols are on the front cover. The triquetra is a symbol for the satanic trinity.
