I just got a nkjv vbv in black goat skin and it has quickly become the bible I take everywhere. I added black leather bible tabs which makes finding the books so much easier

PREACHING BIBLE HAS VERSES OFFSET AND IN BLUE HILITES IS VERY NICE AND EASY TO FOLLOW. LARGE PRINT AND SPACING MAKE THIS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE. IT MAKES NKJV LAYOUT ALL THE MORE READABLE AND ATTRACTIVE.

Oh... U R making this SO hard. Love v/v, but the blue “thin line” Quentel , has a stiffer looking cover. Not a floppy Bible Gal. Also it looks like the verse numbers stand out in that paragraph form... NKJV? I got nkjv TN wide margin. WAY too floppy. And no gutter space. I just use my Journal the Word for my notes. But I also picked up a Hank Hanegraaff v/v VERY interesting lay out. May get that one rebound! I made my adult boys buy it and sign it for me! Lol! Love your videos. Especially when you say” it’s nice” & “This has more elegant paper”! I wish I knew what paper was in that nkjv Hanegraaff. Let me know, if you know... thx again! Always on the search, Mendy

Thank you! I don't know exactly what paper is in the Hanegraaff, but it's a lot thicker than most because it's made for note-taking. I 'think' it's 40gsm, but I'm just going by memory (mine's at the church in the next town). It could be thicker than that. The paper in the Premier Collection isn't as thick, but it's better for making a thinner Bible without having to use thin paper. It's still better than most Bibles and it's good for notes but not as good as the Hanegraaff.

Thanks so much. I’ve been using it. My husband stole my TN Preaching Bible. I do love it too! I just want margins....So Hanegraaff it is. 🙏🏻👍🥁

I really like the layout, but I would probably hold out until the wide margin for the NKJV vbv premier. I am personally a fan of vbv format, but it’s not a deal breaker. Honestly, my favorite is still the Cambridge wide margin for NKJV. For a carry size though I like the Thomas Nelson comfort print personal size, its worth taking a look at!

I now like notes etc at bottom. More white space and bigger text up top.

V x V w/o lines in center column is nice and creates more open space I think.

I think if you do follow the Quentel and the Canterbury as far as layout and such and maybe lose the floppy cover with a good leather calfskin. I do think that the 10--10.5 in Nelson Premier and 11 POINT FONT in the Quentel and.. I believe in the Canterbury... is almost a minimal font size .... at least for someone who's getting older.. like me.

I like the classic spine look on the imitation leather. I wish someone would do that old world binding in a premium now. I'm glad you showed it next to the Q and Turquoise. That's just what I needed. I am eagerly awaiting this one now.

I do now sort of like the Thin Line because it seems they have to use better paper to make them that thin but they do seem to add something to it like the titanium white like Cambridge does but even a better quality of paper would also prevent show through so now I just think that Thomas Nelson Has sort of cornered the market on that.

I looked for the thomas nelson premier kjv in black but on find it in brown which is ok with me. But I hear black leather feels better than other colors.

this one is beautiful but I already have the Preacher's Bible (and love blue!) and the Open Bible, and the Schuyler LOL probably more as you go along. just don't think I can 'justify' buying another at this time though it's a great price on cbd right now at under $100!

I would be in love with a NKJV Turquoise! I think the TUrquoise is one of my favorites of all but I don't read KJV as much or use it at church. I enjoy reading it sometimes and the Turquoise is one of my favorites

  • @gleasonparker1684
    @gleasonparker1684 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Verse by verse is too floppy in goatskin to hold.. but
is great for a lap bible. Nelson does more RED and better poetry breaks than QUENTEL which often has one word on a line in psalms.

I would love to know the diff between the Premier Verse by Verse with the Classic Verse by Verse.
It appears to me that paper is same weight, but the Classic is calfskin while the Premier is goatskin. Same smythe binding…
    Is that correct?

    • @BibleBuyingGuide

I don't have the calfskin, but I compared the PC with the imitation leather here: th-cam.com/video/G2aSF4iKzeU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pXiJaCIZucxb4tDk&t=570

Dude, you seriously need to spray WD40 on your door henges. I just had the daylights scared out of me when someone opened to the door in the background on your video while wearing headphones. No one is supposed to be here..I'll take a moment to critique and compliment your reviews while I gather my nerves. I think you need to script your reviews as they seem random at times, however, I have used your reviews more than others while researching bible purchases. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

Most PREMIER bibles come in leather and/or leather soft. SO CHEAPER BUT SAME INSIDE. E.G. PREACHING BIBLE. NKJV. AND NASB 95 SIDE COLUMN REFERENCE. SOMETIMES THE LEATHER AND LEATHERLIKE SEEM TIGHTER IN SPINE.
