    This is very useful, especially the guided one. I do it everyday, the secretions loosen up plus the saturation SpO2 goes up. Thank you very much.

    Thank you! Worked nicely for me. You took us thru more cycles than the first video watched & tried. This worked much better. I'm having a hard time feeling/doing the expansion technique but will keep trying to perfect it. (is they anything else we can do that would be more helpful for those who aren't feeling the expansion?) Tks again!

      You’re very welcome and glad you enjoyed it 😊🙏🏼 hand positioning around the ribs can be great for helping with expansion 👍🏼

    One of the better videos, but unfortunately does not do huffing from the various lung volumes, only from a high level. This is one of the most important aspects of the technique yet it is glossed over.

    • @4cats2008

      Please explain "huffing from the various lung volumes"??? If that's necessary, we need to know so go ahead and tell us! Please!

    I am a patient of bronchiectasis. Recovering from an infection. I'm unable to do the diaphragmic breathing. I feel like my lungs are not expanding as much as they used to before infection. Though my antibiotics are finished. Blood work is clear. Could you please guide?

      @@josephoconnor3168 the salbutamol is beta2 agonist that give the potassium within the cell to leave the extracellular blood due to accummolation of huge amount of k in the blood this called hyperkalemia ,,😂

    I can hear mucous when I huff at the end, but can’t seem to get the mucous up and out! What can I do?

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! If this is a continuous finding then I would liaise with someone who could assess you as it could be a few different reasons e.g. cough strength, mucus too thick, not enough hydration to name a few

    Thanks for the demonstration. This technique was recommended for my mum when we visited the hospital yesterday. She tried this morning and a small quantity of sputum was came out. She however started feeling slight pain on the right side of her back. Is that normal and is it okay for her to continue?

      Thank you Molly! Perhaps simply as many times as you feel you need to, or that you feel that it is making a difference… for example, if you do 3 rounds and feel no difference after the 4th one then may be you leave it for a short while before trying again 🙏🏼

    This video instruction is really good. My husband had congestive heart failure and lobar pneumonia. He found it easy to follow and was able to cough up amazing amounts of frothy clear secretions which were gel like. You have been a huge part of his recovery. Thankyou so much.

    • @ClinicalPhysio
      @ClinicalPhysio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes certainly - generally speaking the stomach muscles themselves should remain relax. However the stomach would expand during inspiration, and fall during expiration
