BMW X4 G02 Air flaps control failure. Diagnose and air flap active control replacement, upper.

A mechanism that moves with difficulty may not open/close the flaps in time can lead to major drfects if ignored.

Your video is amazing. Can you imagine. i called a workshop and told them the problem. My active grill is open and doesn't close. they said take it to BMW we cannot do anything. I guess the white actuator is faulty and ill try to replace it myself.

My 2020 m340i is having issues as well, throws the CEL on.. seems very similar build... will definitely try this out!

my 2019 330i has the same problem too. I think I am going to remove the flap permanently so it will cool up entirely. I think that active airflow system is pointless. it causes cel like this

@@berkemut4394 I agree! Just one more BMW thing that can be broken over time.. but I was actually able to replace it, so far no more CEL, see how long it lasts before I gotta replace it again

@@berkemut4394 I replaced the part... Bought it on eBay for about $50 from secondhand sellers. Can't seem to find it brand new anywhere on the internet as of yet. Pretty easy, took only 3 tools and about 30 minutes

ive had these replaced on my g01 x3. Now AC is blowing cold on dashboard and heat on feet underneath the front seats/center console. Any idea? Dealer mentions AC distro box for $5K

@@JHAMS-007-car-repair issue came up last year and an actuator was replaced. Once in a while it will show up and restarting car fixed it. Recent occurrence has it blowing cold and heat simultaneously and they swapped the rear flap motor with another side and it worked for 6 days. Now it’s back to the issue, dealer last mentioned if it re occurred, the AC distribution box needs to be replaced and it’s a $5k job
