This has been the warmest Illinois November weather I can recall. It has been super dry and today I'll have to water our new trees. We still have fall color in the great oaks to enhance the autumn scene. Blue skies and and sun!!! Life here in the States is full of ups and downs ..depending on your politics, and of course the pandemic is on everyone's mind. God Bless the people in the medical field..how hectic and emotional their life must be. Cases here in our county are going up and looks like a shelter-in Thanksgiving & Christmas for everyone. Thank goodness for your videos, Rachel.....they make my day!

So pretty …I enjoy your videos. It’s beautiful here in South Carolina…the only problem is it’s been 80 degrees. I’m ready for the cooler weather. I live on a cedar tree farm and the 100 year oak trees are beautiful with their gold and orange leaves. May God make America great again! Have a blessed day!

Lovely little journal spots. Tfs. I use my art glitter glue with the metal tip adapter to glue pockets and tuck spots into my journals. The glue comes out in a fine line and also drys quickly. See you tomorrow 💞🇨🇦🤗

I love all the beautiful things you have made for the bag! I have been using your beautiful Christmas digital papers, tags and cards on my projects and I am loving how wonderful they are to work with! Thank you for creating them for us to use! 🎄🎁🎄 our weather has been very warm at 80 F degrees but today it finally cooled down, got windy then dark outside and we got our very first rain of the season! ☔️💦🌧

We are having beautiful autumn weather with our day temps on the east coast of Virginia in the 70s F and low 50s F at night. Next week they are predicting the 80s and no rain for a week. I love all of the tags and journal cards for the Christmas bag. Between the elections and COVID, I am grateful for your videos - very inspiring and fun. Thank you!

Hi, Ann -- where do you live in Va.? I live in the city of terror, also known as Richmond. Today is Sat., 11-7-20 about 9 PM, and the weather has been nice here, too. We live in Westover Hills near Maymont and Forest Hill Parks, if you're familiar with the city -- I feel the same about Rachel's videos -- and her products -- I got the one with the pages from the 1600's book she got, and I print them on ivory resume paper -- it is fabulous -- and I finally was able to get in there before they were all sold out the packet of her vintage hemp material and a beautiful piece of old lace and a floral print in blue, my fav color -- The hemp has this amazing texture -- it feels similar to tightly woven burlap, but not quite that rough -- she lies when she says she doesn't iron, they arrived beautifully laundered and ironed even after such a long journey -- and I love them -- I tell myself I'm going to make a journal similar to the two she got at the last antique market and put those papers and materials in them -- it's not just Rachel that makes her channel such a wonderful place to be -- it's all the really wonderful people -- unless you don't like labels -- and you know exactly who I mean -- ha -- The google platform has been out of whack for me for more than a week -- I haven't been able to get into youtube at all, so I was watching a lot on tv and not leaving comments -- my fingers didn't know what to do with themselves -- ha -- because I always write too much -- take care -- growing up I spent a considerable time in the summers at Va. Beach in a house on 65th street that my best friend's mother inherited from her aunt -- boy, those were the days -- it was right off Atlantic Avenue so we were literally two blocks from the beach -- the navy jets would fly over and do all kinds of stuff -- the blue angels came and practiced over the ocean -- probably scared the poor dolphins half to death -- have you seen the whales? We went whale watching on the last day they were taking out tours the first year they were there, and the guide said it was the best sighting he'd had all year -- I later talked to a lady wo lived over in that area, and she said she sees them in the mornings when she takes her dog for a walk on the beach -- there was a baby and the adults were breaching -- our world is so beautiful, why can't we just accept people as they are -- you don't have to agree with their life choices -- but we can still get along -- big sigh -- take care, Patricia

Hi, Patricia - It was such a pleasant surprise to read your reply and your accounts of whale watching and summers at the beach. When I was a young child, my family spent part of the summer at Virginia Beach, but then we switched to the OBX. My husband and I live in Suffolk, VA - not far from Virginia Beach. We have special ties to Richmond as he was born there and grew up in College Hills off Patterson Avenue. We met at the University of Richmond, our alma mater. Our son was also born in Richmond. He is a pediatric ER doctor at the VCU/MCV Hospital for Children. One of my favorite places in Richmond is the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, a treasure and so inspirational. I really love their gift shop, too. With the beginning of COVID, I began to watch Rachael on TH-cam and I am "addicted." Her work is lovely and I enjoy her commentary, along with her shared videos with Lulu. You are fortunate to have purchased some of her products! Her journals from the antique market were fascinating. I have made several altered books and I make smaller items that she shows in her videos. Her explanations are easy to follow, and I have incorporated some of her ideas in my garden journal. Having given my sewing machine to my niece, I must hand stitch. Rachael's slow stitching videos are interesting and I want to try slow stitching. I love learning new things, reading, knitting, gardening and playing bridge (haven't done that with friends since COVID). Thank you so much for your reply. Would love to see your journals! Stay safe and well.

@@annwoleben5439 Hello, Ann -- of course I know where Suffolk is -- I grew up in Farmville, and my HS played a school down that way, and it always (still does) amazes me at the change in geology -- Farmville was hilly and Suffolk was beautifully flat -- and then there's the peanuts -- It's a beautiful area. How about you & your hubby going to UR -- My son's father did both undergrad and TC Wms law school there, but I think he's older than you -- he's older than me -- Bill Pierce -- that is such a beautiful campus -- and your son works at the children's hos ER -- small world -- The burn center is located above the children's hospital and ER -- they literally saved my life. If I had been anywhere else in the world, I would be dead. That was 2005, and since then they've kept me alive, My health care there is not above average, however, it is extraordinarily superior,. I'm not only still alive, but I have a quality of life (minus Covid, of course) that I would not have were it not for everyone at VCU Health, Every single person from the porters to the guys who park your car work at such a high standard of care -- but how is your son doing? I had an appt. in the ACC building on June 23rd -- not long after the riots, and I was just shocked -- the capital square gates were chained with like ocean liner size chains and had those cement jersey wall things they use on the highways in front of the gates on the street side, and behind them on the lawn side. When I worked downtown at 9th and Main, I went to the park often for lunch -- usually a hot dog which I'd grab at the capital snackbar -- which is now closed -- no more access to the public -- the main window to city hall was broken out with plyboard on top and policemen literally in riot gear holding these huge rifles patroling both inside and out -- spray paint everywhere about all cops must die -- and F*** the pigs and worse. My beloved uncle was a Va. state trooper killed in the line of duty -- he was never unkind to anyone -- left behind a wife and three young children -- made me want to throw up -- and Richmond's police administration and mayor and most of city council are African American -- which doesn't matter because they are competent and the color of their skin shouldn't matter -- but there just is not all these allegations from other areas -- over $10 million in damages -- and that row of little shops and restaurants running from about where the old Ukrops used to be down to about Belvedere just destroyed -- when I moved in this house four years ago, it was a small, family-oriented area -- no police activity in over 8 yrs. except some minor stuff -- now there are gun shots almost every night, people murdered all over the place -- we were going to move to a farm house in St. Stephen's Church, but due to covid and my son's restaurant closing except for deliveries, we stayed here -- I love Richmond. I've lived here since 1976 and really fell into a depression -- I have a brain injury from the fire anyway, but my nerves were shot and my pcp upped my anti-depressant and anti-anxiety meds, not by a lot -- but it has helped -- until 2 days ago -- every single night from mid June until late Aug or Sept. people began setting off fireworks around 10:30 PM and lasted until around 4 AM -- so by Sept., they were probably running out of fireworks and bullets are expensive -- but 2 nights ago, the weather was so pleasant -- in the 50's -- I had my bedroom window opened, and there were gun shots which sounded like they came from the church parking lot across the street -- then more and more as the night wore on, plus the night filled with sirens from everywhere -- it started about a half a mile up from us, and ended with a man shot dead in his car in the McDonal'ds parking lot 2 miles from here on the border with Chesterfield -- I had a follow-up appt. with my rheumatologist on the Thurs. before the election, and I was too chicken to go downtown, so he did it over the phone -- gosh, sorry to ramble -- if someone had told me 2 yrs. ago this would be our reality, I would have laughed because it was so absurd. So I lose myself in crafting, which I never thought I'd be able to do -- everything I know about paper crafting started with Rachel, and I love it -- sewing machine -- get yourself a new one -- I have a brother quilting and embroidery machine -- which I tried once to free style quilt, but there's no feet to grab the material, so I just ended up using long stitches -- and I've never used the embroidery -- but I love it -- because -- the bobbin just drops in -- I had an inexpensive Singer, but I could never get the bobbin in correctly -- I don't sew, but I made things like curtains and ruffled bits and repairs -- but I think you can get a basic model for around $100 -- it is my most prized possession -- my computer has been "acting up" -- for over a week something has been wrong with the google platforms, they are so slow to load -- I couldn't even get into youtube until this weekend, and it still lags and can take 5 to 10 minutes to load. But my son has this super duper one he purchased to make his own video games, anyway, making the journals is the easy part, filming and upload cause me all manner of grief, so he's going to take care of all of that -- I haven't uploaded anything since last year -- but I want to -- my channel is not monetized -- you have to have 1000 subbies and I have about 53 of the most cherished subbies on the entirety of youtube -- but I'm too slow in my crafting so tutorials are done better by the pros at this, but I'd love to do things like share tips and supplies -- what works for me, what doesn't -- and then a "featured Friday channel" highlighting some of my favorite channels -- I wouldn't know anybody were it not for Rachel -- I just assumed this was far beyond my capabilities and didn't really watch papercrafting -- until Rachel and she was so funny, but her work was so stunning -- and she was so encouraging to me personally -- just try it -- Absolutely try the slow stitch -- the last time I embroidered was in the early late 60's/early 70's, and we embroidered on our jeans -- the only thing I remembered how to do was make French knots, and tney didn't work all the time -- ha -- but I used my sewing machine to baste on the pieces. Over the years when I'd buy a fabric bundle at the thrift store, they'd stick in there all these full kits of embroidery thread -- which I had been using to bind journals and the rest just stayed in a ziplock bag, so I pulled those out and really surprised myself when I enjoyed it and it didn't suck as much as I thought I would -- ha -- gosh, this is too long -- great talking to you -- I first started watching Rachel about day 20 of her first 100-day challenge -- if you haven't seen those, I still go back and watch them -- I cannot collage to save my life, which is okay -- I take her tips and do what I can -- ha -- Take great care -- prayers for your son in his vital work -- peds ER is one of the toughest places to work -- they really are heros and with covid mutating and now affecting children -- and there have been some children's deaths associated with covid -- I know those parents got the very best care on the planet and initially by your son's hands, I'm sure -- as they began their horrific nightmare into covid. I honestly do not understand -- I can't comprehend it at all -- why people are objecting to wearing masks -- I rarelly go out because I'm in the top tier of likely to contract the disease and then pretty quickly go downhill -- the last words my rheumatologist said to me were: if you have to go out, wear a mask -- don't believe the misinformation on the internet, etc. -- "I'm not sick, I don't need a mask" -- well, No. 1 -- how do you know you're not sick -- you could have it and have no symptoms -- No. 2 -- you know how to drive a car, so are you going to protest saying you don't need a driver's license -- I was a court reporter for 30 years before the fire changed my life -- I try to forgive people who object to the mask because they're not informed, but I can't -- and you'll never know if one of those times you didn't wear a mask in public, you came in contact with a small child, and you had the virus and they died from their contact with you -- do you still think wearing a mask is a violation of your constitutional rights -- ugh. hugs, Patricia

Hi Rachel! 😊Regarding the glue, many years ago when I was into card making and scrapbooking, I used to use the green Tombow Mono multi glue and loved it! It dried pretty quickly and had 2 tips (1 narrow and 1 broad which I loved). It could also be used as permanent or temporary glue. If you wanted to glue paper permanently then stick it while it’s wet. If you want to use it as repositionable/removable etc, then wait for it to dry and then position paper etc...I used to use it as a permanent glue most of the time but sometimes I used the the repositionable attribute for when I was using a stencil or to make a stamping mask etc. Best part- nontoxic and non inflammable so even kids can use it! 😊 The only reason I don’t use it anymore is because I found a similar glue in my country which is much more cost effective for me! Hope this helps!
P.S: I have never bought the blue one so I don’t know if it’s the same but would recommend you give the green one a try!

I’m behind on your videos. Trying to catch up. Love your videos. I used to use the green Tombow all the time but now have switched to the clear. For one the clear is a $1 cheaper and a bigger bottle. But with the green if it oozes out the side it stays sticky which I don’t like. The clear isn’t like that. As always TFS your creativity and your everyday life. Love hearing all about you and your family.

I tend to choose what I want in the front first so when I create my background I know it will fit together. But on the otherhand I love watching you just create without thinking so much about it, and seeing that it turns out great aswell.

The weather here is a little silly as we had snow two days ago and was -2C and today it was 17C. I enjoyed the warm weather of today was not excited for the snow. It’s a little early for the white stuff!! You mentioned the cost of Fabric Tac glue was in Italy, wow! It’s under $20.00 Canadian here. I have tried to get Giotto glue here and it isn’t available. We could always do a swap if you’re interested.

Love these, of course... you made them! My 'go to' clear glue is the Aleene's clear gel tacky glue and I love it, it is my all purpose glue, along with Elmers Craft Bond extra strength glue stick. I used to buy the white, but tossed it as soon as the clear gel came out!
I bought a bottle of Fabritac without knowing it had such a horrible, strong smell...it gave me a migraine as soon as I opened it, and it has those pesky strings like hot glue.

Rachel: the green bottle of Tombow is a very sticky glue that dries clear, but stays sticky when dry. If you glue your piece on while glue is wet, it is permanent. But, you can put the glue on paper and let it dry, and then when you glue the piece down, it is repositionable. I really like it, but I keep baby powder close by because if you put the flue too close to the edge and it oozes out when you smooth your paper, the glue will stay sticky and i put baby powder on it to stop the stickiness.

Well here in the states we are battling a crooked election and having to deal with the effects of that. Very frustrating. The covid is coming back enough that there’s a few places locking down again! I don’t do the anxiety of people not following the rules very well but thank gosh I can play with my papers, lol! I’m so relieved none of your family have had it. We had an 8th grade boy die if it last week in the neighboring state. Our weather these days have been 70-75 degrees. I would rather have the rain! My Son in law Her husband, got furloughed from his job, 7 weeks ago. He. began as soon as they told him, He told his team. All married with 3 or more children. As soon as getting home he began calling the many business he was the head of his developmental team. He said it was like he would faint. He sat down and someone got water. He told them( very close buds) they would be ok.
7 weeks later son in law had 6 interviews with same company. They wanted him very bad. He wanted a career not just a “job” so he did his investigation and they ( his job) offered him a substantial amount of money) daughter only lost 2 weeks
He was not searching for a “job” he was looking to go to school, Ashton as well.
      4 jobs he was offered.
