What a fantastic nostalgic box! Reminds me of the boxes my vintage Christmas bulb ornaments came in. I’ve only got a few left, sadly. Thank you Donna for creating & sharing it for us. I’ll go back and save your videos in this series. I appreciate the tips, too. God bless, Gilly
that's awesome Gilly, do you mean you have the ornaments left or the boxes left? I love this one too I don't think we ever had them here in Australia? ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
Really enjoying these videos. I don't do Christmas as you know, but I am catching up with my sisters in a few weeks and I know they will love these early Christmas presents for them. It will mean more to them knowing I made them. Thank you again.
it's such a joy to give and you have a lot to give Rose, enjoy making them (that's if you have any ink left from all your other printing lol) they will be surprised with these cutie little boxes ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
Thank you so much for this series! I learn such valuable tips and tricks from all of your videos, and this one is no different! I was just trying to find a box to make or decorate for the Christmas ephemera I’m making. This box is absolutely perfect! I love how simple it is to put together, and the fact that it looks like a vintage ornament box is fabulous! ❤️💚❤️
Yay! I love it when things happen like this, it's a perfect box for gifts. Oh and vintage is a must lol thanks a lot Kathy I just subbed over on your channel, i'll be back for some YT love later tonight ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
Yay! thanks Karen it's been so lovely to have you come along the series, im exhausted!! and Christmas isn't even here yet lol see you Friday night Aussie time for my normal video ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
I know what you mean Denise, if I make a box with my cricut or scaNcut I make the lid a little bigger than the bottom, but with this box to save time I made them the same size, doing the scoring this way makes the lid fit snug without having to be a different size. and you're very welcome ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
This box or these boxes are the star on top! I remember all too well the old boxes when they were new and then slowly become quite aged to falling apart. Sigh. It’s nice to take a quiet, peaceful walk down Christmas memory lane with these vintage type crafts. Thank you so very much for the videos and freebies. I can’t recall, are there more to be posted? I hope so. Thank you. ❤
hey Jenn thanks so much I really enjoy knowing that there were memories behind these boxes, I can see why they are so loved. Im so glad you love the freebies i love to make them and share, oh yes, there's more to come, just dropped one a minute ago see you there ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
A second P.S. bc I forget things I want to say all the time. I’m amazed at your creative background. Wow! And how well you have been doing physically etc. Now see, here I had one more thing to say … oh yeah … what a stash you inherited from your mother! Wow!! I’ve enjoyed seeing the things of hers which you have shared here and there. Whether in bulk or what you do with them. Thanks yet again❤
ha ha your a blast Jenn!! I come from good stock!! and i am getting better and better every day! I love to show mums stash theres so much of itttttt. ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
What a great project. I just printed it out and I can't wait to put it together, but I will have to follow along with the scoring so I don't mess it up. Thank you.
thanks Elizabeth, you'll be right, just score all the way around 4 sides of the lid on the outside of the lines and all the way around 4 sides on the bottom on the inside of the lines and it will work out for you ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
P.S. stacking and tying those three boxes …. Just lovely! Also thank you for the info about what paper reproduces the best results. I have piles of 4x6 photo paper and some other sizes. Unsure if they are matte finish. Been a while since I looked at them. There was a day when I printed pictures. Ha ha. ❤ thanks again.
the stack sure does look nice, i'm using mine for decor this christmas. I have some of those 4x6 they are usually gloss but you never know, i have a photo printer and I hardly turn it on now lol ✨🌲🎅 hugs Donna
