What a fabulous folio! Oddly enough in all the thousands of junk journal videos I’ve watched over the last 2 years, I’ve not ever seen pockets bound by slips of paper/cards. The resulting accordion structure is sensational! Beautiful book!! TYFS ❤️🦋💜❄️🌲
Love everything you create, I wish I could buy all of tim holtz products, but the few have give me great pleasure, and I can always make something that you share with us thank you for all beautiful creations
I do not own every Tim Holtz supply either, I also treasure the things that I do have and you are right.....you can always create something. Happy crafting 🎨
I just discovered your channel while trying to scrounge up ideas to send to a pen pal. All I can say is WOW! I love your content, your creation is so original and I like it that your video is to the point, I don't like the videos where people talk and drag things on for no good reason. You have a new subscriber!
I always feel so inspired by your videos - I immediately want to go to my art table and start making something after watching. Thank you for being so generous with your time and talent to share with us.
These are just charming! I always look forward to seeing what you’re up to and am never disappointed! I just discovered that my notification bell wasn’t set to get all your notifications…so I fixed that! I’m looking forward to a new year of seeing what you’re doing and wish you the most blessed holiday season! TFS!
Merry Christmas from Santa Claus, IN Marly! I just want to say that I absolutely LOVE all of your videos. You are an amazing artist and so inspiring! Thank you and I hope you never stop sharing your incredible ideas with us! God bless!!
Hello Marly from the East Coast of the USA. I love love love your journals and books. I think the accordion section of this project is fantastic. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.
have you ever used a rice bag to hold glued items in place to dry? I covered mine with upholstry fabric and it works great because it conforms to the shape of things and doesn't crush them. just a thought. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
Loved how this came together, Marlies. It is very creative. (✿◠‿◠) You just allow your creativity to flow, and I think that is your special talent. You have given me some inspiration today, as usual, that will allow me to think outside the box on my current Christmas project. I gave up on it at 1:00 a.m. last night but am glad I did not trash it. With a fresh set of eyes, I may be able to "save" it and make it better. 😉 Have a great week! Ann
Love this project and especially happy to see you put that accordion folder together. One question, could you "distress" the burlap before adhering it to the folder? Any problems with doing it that way?
As always I loved this video and the journal. I love how you create pockets and folders. I have a question though, in the pockets I see stitching all around them but did you use stitch the pockets together or just sewed for decoration and used glue to create the pockets? I don't quite get it because I see stitching all around but then there wouldn't be an opening, so I'm wondering how you glued the pockets. TIA

Love this project and especially happy to see you put that accordion folder together. One question, could you "distress" the burlap before adhering it to the folder? Any problems with doing it that way?
You can distress it before I think, but be sure the burlap is totally dry before glueing it down 👍
@@Marlydesign - Thanks, Marlies.

Great question. The stitching is decorative on the outside, glued the pocket to the page 👍
What kind of bookbinders glue do you use?
I'm using a Dutch brand, but I think every brand will do the job 👍
What book binding glue did you use? I didn’t see it in supplies list
I used a Dutch brand, but any bookbinders glue that you can get in your home country will do 👍
Thank you so much. I have learned so much from your gifts and talents. Thank you for sharing on TH-cam. I love your makes.
