I love these!!! So bright and fun! Will have to go back through your digital listings as I LOVE the Santa’s especially!!
I can relate about the story of your nephews...😉
I did summer journals for my grandkids for their time visiting with us. For my grandson, I added the photos and decorations and the family added their photos and comments. He liked that and it was fun for him to go through. For my granddaughter, I printed out photos for her and lots of embellishments so she could decorate and Journal herself....she loved it and did such an awesome job! But as she said, “Gramma, I like it when we do it together.” ❤️❤️. Together was me sitting with her watching.❤️. And providing any extras she wanted. So fun.

Beautiful journals Rachel! I made my 8 year old granddaughter a journal with prompts from a childrens book. She was so excited about it but then never used it. Made a journal for each of my 2 adult daughters. One of them said she wrote in it. The other daughter I made a Marylin Monroe journal as thats her style and she said "its pretty but what do I do with it". Now I just make them and put them on a shelf. Its still good "therapy " for me and lots of fun to be creative. And dont worry about the word slippage. Most of us have been there. I like how you keep it real.

    • @Lily_and_River

It's a shame that so many people aren't used to these kinds of creative journals. I've made both my parents a journal and really said to them they must use them and write in them... People almost don't dare to I think because someone already put so much work and thought into it. And also many children and adults are used to things that they need to fill in like a worksheet rather than creating something on a blank page or in free form. In schools every assignment has a certain form and certain rules. Many people even find creative/free writing a hard thing to do because of that.

But, that's why I say that my videos are not intended for children. I usually cuss like a sailor, when it's appropriate... LOL!! I try to curtail it in videos... But.... Sometimes... I was thinking it might be fun for the kids to find small Christmas candles, chocolate bars or suckers that are flat and could be tucked in the bags or pockets and also little games or mini puzzles. OMG, Rachel -- these are gorgeous -- I hope my comment gets posted. I'm STILL having computer issues -- I can watch on "the TV" is what every southern person calls it -- "the tv" -- back in the dark ages before cable TV, we had this huge antenna my father installed on our roof -- you attach it to the chimney -- and people would use the top of the TV first with a large doily someone's granny had crocheted and then little knick/knacks -- often a fat candle with some kind of decorative ring around it, set in the middle of the doily, and then pictures, etc. -- so, my smart alecky brother, who thought he was so funny, one day my mother asked him: what's on "the TV" tonight, and he replied a candle, baby pictures -- I, being wise even at that young age, advised him to run before something from on top "the TV" got hurled in his direction -- ha. These are so adorable -- I hope everyone you know and love are well -- I also can't believe it's almost the middle of November -- where did this year go? shew !!! Now off to "the tv" to watch -- the videos just freeze -- but I can watch amazon prime with zero issues, so it's not the internet -- Also, I hope you used plenty of labels for Sherree : )

I do not know why I torture myself so -- I made a vow last night that today is THE day -- I am going to finish these journals (they're mostly done, just need some sewing, etc.) -- I am NOT going to be distracted -- and what do I do -- For whatever reason, youtube is working, and I have to let them load for about 10 mins., but the videos are playing through -- so I make the decision to go back and watch from the beginning -- what was I thinking -- not Pink in Paris, that's for sure -- I'm thinking I need to do Christmas and do it NOW -- I think my goal for 2021 after not dying from Covid, is to follow your lead and organize my papers by kit -- I purchased the large plastic envelope sleeves this summer, because I spend half of my allotted crafting time (like I'm going somewhere) looking for papers, going through the download lists because I can't remember which kit has what -- or at the very least, print off a compilation sheet with the name of the kit, where I purchased it, etc. -- you are such a treasure, not just to me, but to so many across the globe -- and here you were just a few years ago feeling lonely, needing a crafting buddy and look at you NOW !! I also have a suggestion for the journals -- why don't you deliver them in person? and you can zip by the Jessica -- I can't spell her last name -- Chorley??? -- workshop and store -- ha.

We all have this problem. Don’t want to write on the “good” papers. My son recently said is there a de-coder somewhere I could use to understand what paper can be written on, printed on and or used. Also PS: I can't read comments but at least it says it's letting me post -- you know, I thought we were at least youtube friends -- if you were my real friend, you wouldn't post all these just adorable Christmas projects and tutorials with such great finishes -- seriously, I thought I loved last year's batch -- I say this all the time, girl, you've just got "it" -- But you see how easily distracted I am, and boy, this makes me want to just get to printing out all my Christmas digis -- I got my shipment of four color cartridges in this week's mail, and I'm raring to go, but, I am literally one day away from finally finishing the pink journal. I've never sewed so much in my life -- but I love it ; and I am purposely taking my time for two reasons -- I really am having fun, and am shocked every single time something works -- I love doing "flips" which you showed me how to do -- I have included a lot from different digis of yours, which is distracting, because then I have to figure out which ones to use -- and -- I don't know which one, but one of your kit has the best paper, and I can't stop printing and using it; I have all of my completed tags in one container, and this morning those tags were on top, and I still pick it up and sigh -- anyway, being distracted by the adorable thumbnail images, I went into the living room to watch on "the tv" and couldn't believe my eyes -- we have all these little adorable cute kittens, who have to be adopted : ( -- if anyone around Richmond, VA would like a kitten, hit me up -- but they painted everything before putting this house up for rent, but they forgot to reinstall the piece where the knob side goes to keep the doors closed -- so we have a hallway closet where I store paper goods, etc. -- so the kittens were going in there and getting into the TP -- so we moved it to the top of the refrigerator -- fools that we were, thinking they couldn't get up there -- and when I just now walked into the living room -- there were six little kittens having the time of their lives and TP everywhere -- she had two identical twins, and they are by far the runts of the litter -- they still fit in the palm of my hand -- but they're tough -- I named one Winston and the other Churchill -- so I call both of them Winston Churchill so I'm at least 50 % right -- my son can tell the difference -- anyway, sorry to digress -- but it's cute -- who can be mad? they're about 5 wks old and still run with two feet together -- in another week they'll figure out they can use all four in different directions -- : ( == but with all this stress, they have been a blessing from God, and to the stockholders of Iams expensive kitten chow -- ha -- so I came back to my bedroom to grab something, which I can't remember, and this video was still up -- I can't think you enough -- honestly, Rachel, you opened an entire new world to me -- I still can't collage worth yesterday's newspaper -- but I can still make beautiful tags and journal cards with beautiful images that brighten my day and make my heart sing -- I have recruited my son, and his fancy graphics computer, to be responsible for editing the videos and posting them onto youtube -- I'm so grateful and thankful to everyone who posts tutorials and creates digi pages -- one thing that does make me sad about digis is this -- each seller has to add large watermarks over their work so people won't just come and steal the images -- which I don't understand -- the kits' average costs are usually $5 and under -- the cost of a cup of fancy coffee -- for me, a Pepsi and donut, back in the non-isolation days -- sigh -- anyway, just a request to quit posting all these cute cute cute projects -- "Pay no attention; these are not the droids you're looking for" -- I chant that to myself to try to "stay on target" "stay on target" -- ask Sarah's son to interpret -- ha -- they're lovely, I can't wait to watch !!! Hugs, P

I know I say this all the time, but -- I have this traumatic brain injury which affects my language -- ie never-ending comments -- but also my short-term memory, which with you is kind of a plus -- I'm not as young as I used to be, and there's only so much disk space left in my long-term memory, so even though I've watched your videos for the past year or more and have watched this one before -- I forget it, and when I watch it again, it's like seeing it for the first time, and I am just amazed anew first at you choosing the right papers, and then combining them together in perfect harmony -- I love it when something you put together when reviewing it causes you to pause and usually exclaim: Isn't that pretty ? I always answer: yes, it is. And when that happens, it's like a symphony playing in my brain -- which, in my opinion, is exactly what art is supposed to do: to make us feel -- even if we don't like something, it makes us "feel," you often have trouble accepting compliments about your abilities, like when you told Lulu in one of the videos that you know how to do collaging because you do it every day -- Michaelangelo sculpted and painted (and taught) everyday -- he may have learned different techniques at the end from when he first started, but it was still his enormous talent which allowed him to see Venus and David in the stone before the first piece was tapped away, or to lie flat on his back high up on scaffolding day after day painting the -- I'll spell it wrong -- Cistine/ Sistine/?? Chapel. You are just as much an architect as "Stefi" and he as much of an artist as "you." You two were meant to be together and have your beautiful daughter which has the best of both of you -- it's not a small thing. Thank you so much for sharing. We all appreciate it so much, and some more than others when you put a label on something (you know who you are -- ha) -- P.

Love watching your Christmas videos. These journals are amazing. I waited till you had a few and watched them all. Hoping I can find some bags like this. Bit hard to go shopping around looking as England in 2nd lockdown, so will look on Amazon.. From listening to you, are you from Australia and now in Italy? Your video are great. Thank you for sharing.

These are such cute journals! How did you change the color of your coffee dyed paper? Is this something I can do with my digital coffee dyed paper purchased from others?
