    I had Koni DA’s with a set of pro kit springs that liked from a ride standpoint. However, I did like the look of the sport line springs, but the car was way too low and a kidney buster. God bless Summit Racing for taking the springs back and letting me swap.

    Gotta question for you, did you take ride height measurements before replacing the springs? I ask because I have an 02 Berger SS, that I had to replace the struts and springs on. I used a set from Summit of Eibach's Pro's and Bilsteins that is supposed to be a good combo. I have had ride height problems in the rear, and I'm waiting on replacements for the rear from Eibach, but finding original measurements keeps coming up dead.

      No sorry I did not. This was back when I had Eibach Sportlines and Koni Yellow shocks. I have switched back to Strano springs since. Reason being with my new wheel and tire offset combo it was too low and rubbing up front.

      When I had the c5z wheels in this video I didn’t have any issues.

    So you dont have to take the upper control arm off to just replace the shock/spring?

      Nope not at all. Just be prepared to rest it or tie it off w bungie chords when you pull the strut out. You’ll see it will want to fall.

      Probably the best option until you switch to Coil Overs. I like the fact the shocks allow you to adjust ride comfort.

    Did you take off the upper control arm?

      No I just used bungies and secured it through the wheel well (strut tower hole openings)

    How’s it going? How do you like them? Better than Stranos?

    • @6spdinc
      @6spdinc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, they road nicer than my stranos. Stranos are more for autoX and corners so makes sense. I’ve reinstalled my stranos since but only due to my wheel and tire combo. Car was too low and sticking out of the fenders. Didn’t feel like destroying my Michelin’s.I have no complaints on ride quality w Sportlines. They had more give than stranos and
      road nicer w my konis. Personal preference.

    How does the car ride in comparison to the Strano's?

    • @6spdinc
      @6spdinc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sure a lot of ppl won’t believe me but I think it rides nicer. Reason being, the stranos are definitely a stiffer spring designed for road racing. The sportlines have more give and seem more forgiving over bumps on the street. Obviously a good shock is important as well. I still have my stranos so I can always swap them back as of now I’m very happy with the sportlines and it definitely gives a more aggressive look stance wise.
