I have Lupus and Arthritis. Lupus does include arthritis as one of the most common symptoms. Lupus arthritis is caused by inflammation. After a long time of uncontrolled lupus. I have a hard time controlling mine.

I have RA and Lupus, (Rhupus Syndrome). 2 yrs now. 61 years old. Also, pulmonary fibrosis diagnosed in 2015 and COPD diagnosed in 2007. I take 15 mg Methotrexate once a week, 200mg plaquenil once a day, 5mg prednisone twice a day and my rheumatologist just recently started me on Enbrel. We're hoping the enbrel will help me reduce or stop the methotrexate and prednisone, especially the prednisone. It took me a year to find a rheumatologist, and I got lucky that she (Dr Laura Hughes) has many years of experience. Thank you so much your very insightful videos.

Hi madam, I appreciate your videos which are very clear and kind hearted. I am from India. My RA factor was high six months ago and slowly it came down. Started with elbow joint pains. From two months I have developed lesion on the tongue. It's causing pain. Please suggest.

      Dear Doctor
I used salfaninazine ,HCQ and leflunamide, now I'm using tofacitnib ,one tablet per day.
I wanna ask that should I stop it if my symptoms are very mild.is it a right way to stop it.
Or we have to take it for whole life.

Just lost my comment to you.
I'm writing to you from my hospital bed in NC, recovering from my sixth Kyphoplasty. This time it was L4. According to the MRIs, all of my vertibrae and hips are weakened. Whether it was caused by low dose prednisone or cordisone injections into joints, idk. I've chosen not to take Tear 1 RA drugs, that can cause lymphoma or kill me as a negative side effect.
At this point having kyphoplasties will strengthen my back. My shoulder was replaced in February, from falling, is doing great. Hips, knees, fingers and toes all need replaced. Thank goodness my insurance will cover it all 💯
Thity years ago I was diagnosed with RA, followed by Hashimotos, Sjogrens and more recently, Cushings. Also, I've been diagnosed with COPD and Asthma. I've had Pneumonia 3x and told it was from RA. Two small strokes that the doctors decided were from Stress.
I'm 62 and refusing to believe that there isn't a cure.My body created this. My body can heal this.
Listening to this video has me wondering if I have Lupus, since I have lung issues with breathing? After being told that I have Cushing's, involving too much fluids etc. I'd like to ask the hospitalist to run tests for Lupis. Please tell me what the tests are named.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate you and learning from your videos 😊

My rheumatologist made diagnosis of sle and ra overlap and started mixed treatment including HCQ,methotrexate, prednisone but I Don't have painful or swollen joints, I just had a little morning stiffness in small joints of my hands. As you said in your video treatment for both is different so I'm concerned if I have RA or not

I have a question for you regarding blood work. I'm 52 and have been dealing with getting a false positive for syphillis since I was 17. Nobody can figure out what's going on. I'v mentioned it to my doctor and my rheumatologist. Nobody can figure out why this is happening. i always do a confirmatory test and it always comes back negative the second time.My sister is an EMT and she mentioned that autoimmune diseases can cause a false positive.
I lost my job and have no insurance so I'm at a loss as to what's going on...
