- Today I review the Creality Ender 3 Max Neo FDM 3D Printer.
I have some experience with 3D printers and I have owned them in the past but I always found them very finnicky to operate and I didn't have the patience for them.
The great people at Creality sent me this New Ender 3 Max Neo to see if I still had the same opinion on them. I think this one has truly proved me wrong.
It's the upgraded version of the previous Ender 3 Max model.
It has some great features that greatly improve on the original.

Thanks, Mike. Having at least 1 printer to assist in cosplay builds is always useful. Even at the least, to make small complex detail parts.

Yeah. It did a really nice job. I used to have 2 of the CR10s Pro V2 printers They were pretty good. 😎👍🏻

Once I got started, I found that I had a queue a mile long, currently have a box of parts ready to prime and paint. I like that I can sand and prep prints while waiting for contact cement or paint to dry, and gives me an opportunity to prime multiple projects at once. ( my daredevil clubs are almost ready to go! )
What kind of printer do you currently use?
@@Heroesworkshop Elegoo Neptune 3, was so easy to set up and the auto leveling ( no knobs ) is great, especially for the price point

Did you ever figure out the setting to adjust to not get as bad of scarring on the bottom of the nose ,chin area ? 😊

It’s not very loud compared to printers in the past.

How long did it take to print each object ?
I recently got one too, I never got a cleaner print in mine homemade 3d printer as I got with this ender 3 max neo. The fans are loud, and they turn on with the printer, so it’s always on.
I would recommend to check if the wheels are too tight or too lose, and the difference in height between each side. That made a really difference to me.

How long does it take to actually start printing? I don’t know if mine is actually working. It’s in print but nothing is happening
Are you creating a G-code from the STL file? Or are you just trying to print the STL file directly?
I need some advice, I really want to get a printer that has a larger build volume then the Ender 3 pro, and really like how the max neo sounds but I’ve seen so many mixed reviews about it, any suggestions
Just go with what you think is best for what you need it for.

Even though printing surface is listed as 300x300 - what is the exact size of the aluminum plate (if one considers ordering a magnetic base and PEI sheet for it) ?

what metal can you print with this printer with upgrades of course because i see iron composite filament 1.75mm on amazon
I’ve never printed metal with it but that’s good to know that the filament is easy to find.

For these filament printers, I’ve used a few Creality ones so far. I have had others in the past and they worked great.

Please can you tell me what exactly Z offset adjustment you made. Be nice to see how much adjustment you made that made the print so much better? Thanks.
I wouldn’t remember the exact amounts I adjusted. I adjust based on what I needed. It would be different for every machine.
Just follow the instructions. Mine ended up at -2.24 for original .4 nozzle. Changed to .8 nozzle and it’s now -2.09. It varies depending on where your CR touch kicks in when it hits the bed. Adjusted to where I just felt drag on a sheet of paper and printer printed flawlessly with no adjustments to initial printer settings.
My filament isn’t sticking to my print bed, what could be going wrong?
Clean the build plate with alcohol before each print.
Or the bed isn’t levelled properly. You’ll need to do a manual levelling. Try both and see if it works.
So do you have to send this back now or is it for you to keep?
I can keep it. I can use it for any high detail parts that I don’t want to build in foam.

I just re-read it. That is weird, my bad.
I was surprised by the notification of a printer. So prior to seeing the video, I thought that you were straying.
I was sent a printer and they asked me to review it. In reality, I’ve used printers for client work since 2015. The fact I still build with foam in 2022 proves I’ll never stray from foam. 😛
