Bahahahaha this aged well
Thanks you’re not so bad yourself

@@kurbii5216 You are talking to yourself...
Forgot to change accounts it seems
this is really cool dude
Thanks man! I Just watching your video where you do pixel art for random twitch streamers. MAN you work fast, and they're always so good!
Agree!
Mort! I didn't expect you here! I met you and Robert a long time ago, and I helped you both in different ways (with the video editing and with the gogogo translation), and when I saw the first devlog the first thing I thought was "this would be really cool for Mort to see" hahaha. Good to see you here ^^
woah MORT MORT! thanks for teaching me pixelart dude
Hi Mort👍❤🙋♂️
1:35 I actually thought the bin was a solution loool maybe you can have the bug peek out of the bin? Tilting it upward so you can see the face?
So did I lmao
when he had the trash modle, I thought he was gonna make it peak like you said.
Heh, yeah
chances are that bin model was one he had lying around from another project. was a funny scene though
So did I at first.
What you’re basing your game design off of is very solid.
Yes, Mario is very solid.
@@Mattstak Ha ha, yeah of course Mario is solid. I meant to say that the niche minimalistic mecha legos being the characters of his games is a good concept for characters. He showed it in the first video.
@@prcr364 I think he talks about this in the first video, go watch it on his channel! :)

Those 5 dislikes weren't happy you threw away the enemy.
I wasn't happy but I still put a like
What do you mean? There’s no dislikes on this video!

I wasn't too excited about the movement in this game, it seeming more and more like a mario clone. But that wall roll seems quite unique and very interested, and now I can't wait to play around with it in the demo :D great work I'm excited to see where this project leads
I love that you spent time to make a bin model just for one joke!
1:29 I'm dying hahaha lol
Yes
i came here 3 months ago and this got recommended again so i decided to see your new videos... but
yah me to
I hope he continues this. It really looks like a promising game
let's goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Me: "Ohh so the enemy will have something to do with a bin? That's odd but okay!"
*temporarily deletes enemy*
Oh. Okay😂
yeah, I was thinking the enemy would come out of the bin to shoot the player, because if the enemy is elevated, then you could see his eyes
@@gdb5549 that would be cool. maybe the “big bad king” that he talked about last episode would’ve been the world’s last human, who went power hungry, and now the robots have no idea what to do with the other man-made things like toilets, houses, or trash cans.
Amazing work Robert. This game has huge promise and I will definitely be watching out for how the game develops!

This game could really benefit from toon or cel shading, because not only does it really fit the artstyle of the game, but it would also set it apart from other 3D platformers!
cel shading is good but toon shading is in every platformer ever. Mario, hat in time, yooka laylee all are toon shaded.
@@yashkaushik6116 what? I played mario odyssey and a hat in time, and they aren't toon shaded. Are yoy thinking of something else?
I think there should be a visual indicator of the angle the character goes up the wall!
It should probably be a setting you could turn off/on
@agastya nadellai know
Ayy your midair dive got added
@@forenta2061 its my favorite 3d platformer move.
Speedrunners are gonna love this controller
I can't wait to speedrun this!

*PARKOUR*
Always nice to see projects inspired from PS2-era platformers!
I like the wall roll mechanic! You get to keep that important platforming wall cling while also getting the potential benefits of a short wall run - very cool!
One challenge you could try is adding as much juice/game feel to an uninteresting mechanic or task as possible to make it exciting/fun, i.e. camera shake, particle effects, sound effects, animation, and the like.
Also I completely get the discord time commitment thing XD Just answering a few comments or questions can take me ages - I don't know how other people manage it!
Hello, I just wanted to thank you, because I love your videos. As you said, it's not really easy to be a game dev, so I hope you will make your game despite the difficulties involved. Also, it's very motivating to see your vids, because watching people making their dream game motivates us to create our own (I started Unity a week ago 😂). So keep it up ans good luck !
I’m still hyped for the next dev log. How have the past 2-3 months been?
you deserve all this support man! You are one of the people who inspired me to make my own game and dev logs, thank you!
This game is looking incredible so far
Now I don't know what you think of ideas from others as you want to make this your game, but I was wondering if you have ever played a hat in time as I feel like the hat system could work amazing with this game such as being able to equip little upgrades such as skis or roller blades could make the rolling system flow better with the momentum you gain sort of like a tribes ascend slide system which could add a lot to the movement itself and maybe not starting with the long jump getting a little spring upgrade or rockets could help with progression and add a little more design to the character.
These are just some quick ideas that I think could help but I'm not a game designer or animator so they might not be good ideas :)
I just love the style of the character, so cute your progress is also very nice! I am excited to see more
Are you ok? Where are you bro? I miss your stupendous dev log
All good! Thanks man! Getting back on track! 💪
I have been LOVING these dev logs. Can't wait to see where this goes :)
Absolutely amazing! Your game looks so great! The movement is sick! Keep it Up! I make my own 3D platformer, I hope my game will be at least half as good.
I only just found these devlogs, and I really hope you keep uploading them. It's incredibly inspiring to all of us, and I'm getting ideas for my own game as well
Please don't stop uploading, we really love your devlogs!
These devlogs are so amazing, as a gamedev, seeing you take on an idea so immense like this and actually make good progress is amazing.
THIS DEVELOPING IS INCREDIBLY MORE THAN I COULD DO IN A LIFETIME!!!!!
dude just practice
Bro, just practice
@@josephmh0480 I couldn’t even grammar right back then lol
Anyway, I’ve moved on from game dev and more into animation and art, which I enjoy much more.
I was looking up devlogs and I'm so happy I found this! Keep up the good work dude, this looks great!
That enemy is so cute and cool! please use him some how!
amazing attention to detail. love how you're making sure the game feels right before everything else. usually something game devs come back to far too late
Goddd i would love to see some way of upgrades you could get in different locations, things like jets for a short hover, different arms to access unreachable places in past locations, etc. Would really make for a cool reward + help with the "replayability". Love this little guy, keep up the good work! 🤍
This DevLog series is getting my motivation back to work on my game. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏻
Why is this guy so underrated I can’t stop watching his videos I hope he gets a lot more popular and doesn’t stop uploading ;D
concept, what if the lower your health is, the more powerful you are, (like the robot goes into a last stand mode), this could allow some interesting gameplay
looks great, and also tried out your gogogo game and its awesome. love playing it with the wife and kids
Thanks so much for checking it out, that's awesome!
I like that you're really focusing on making the character movement feel really really good. It's probably the most important aspect to get right for your game. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see this game evolve :D
holy shit are you the flash of developers its only been a 2 weeks since the first vid and if you consider editing time (ur editing is incredible) u like superdev or something
This happens to me too. I overwork on the first week or two, then slow down. But it's fine. Take your time
@@oofbychips1809 lol me either
game's starting to look better and better by the episode! keep it up man ^^
This is really, really amazing. I can’t wait to play this!
I'm glad I found this channel! This is the most entertaining and well thought out devlog I've watched on TH-cam! I really can't wait for Devlog #4 and I can't wait to play this game in the future!
This looks really satisfying to play. Really hope to see more :D
I start watching your videos because the first part of this "series" show up in my recommendations, i love game design and i like all I've seen in your videos! Continue your good work!
i never saw a video with 0 dislikes like devlog #2 thats insane :)
Your channel growth is well deserved. These videos area really great to watch and you've clearly got a fantastic set of character controls. It'll be cool to see how you'll be able to expand levels with that wall dive ability.
How are you so good at this, how many years of practrising!! keep up the good work!
This is super satisfying, to watch the character controller. Great videos and great progress on the game. Look forward to seeing more!
Keep up the good work man
Man this game is looking good! I have always loved programming as a hobby, so I am planning to start a little game of my own! Watching all of these amazing videos has given me a bunch of confidence! Keep up the good work!
it has been 3 months when new vid coming if u are going through a bad time may be we can motivate you pls dont dump this project
This is looking amazing! Keep up the good work!

(Remember me when your channel blows up)
I love the editing style of the videos, and the way you explain the process is very clear an concise, I love watching this so far and I cant wait to play even a demo! Keep up the good work!
its been a while since the last devlog you okay bud u got something goin on bro?
Waiting for that episode four. I have only been able to binge watch 3 episodes and that makes me kind of sad because this is really interesting. Can't wait to buy this when it comes out (or at least as soon as I can when it comes out). Keep up the great work my guy.
Im looking forward to this game!
Ah man, I love it when I find more and more of these awesome indie developers! Very inspirational. This game looks cool! Awesome controls. Keep it up :D maybe I can finally start my own journey in developing my first game now
Something I would like to see in these devlogs is more of showing the code
Awesome! I really love the mechanics and animation style, everything looks super smooth. Keep it up!
A big advice! you should really share the work you've done , like a playground to gain viewers, i think way more people would be intrested if you give a solid usable example
you are definitly one of the best developer on youtube, you should have alot more subscribers! This game looks sick!
Challenge: Make a game where every thing is a ragdoll (menu, character, donuts, people, robots, etc.)
maybe in 24 hours maybe not
Also love ur vids =)
brooo! this is awesome, the quality in the animations and the commitment of your progress is soooo cool! Love to see more updates!
you man, just got a new fan ;)
We. Want. Discord. N O W.
But seriously, it would be great to be able to talk about the game, maybe give some suggestions, and just talk with each other.

Loving this series and like how much you show on the backend. Looking forwards to what comes of this.
recreate the original mario bros from memory for a challenge lol
That's an amazing idea! Or any game from memory for that matter, holy cow that's good!
Can't wait for the next devlog :}
Hello! I think that this is going to be an AWSOME game. But there haven't been any devlogs in the past 4 MONTHS. Are you dead? I know that alot of people want you to make more
devlogs. I can tell by all the likes that this vid has been getting. Btw this seems like a game that i would enjoy playing alot. If you are ever gonna get close to finishing it i would
with pleasure like to be a beta tester to maybe find bugs or something like that.
This is the longest YT comment i have ever written lol ;D
Damn dude its good to see Dev logs getting more popular. Time for me to start doing them too :P
Heya, I was just wondering about how open you'd be to people modding this game once it gets released?
I'm glad I came across your videos looking at Unity developers as I am starting to learn game making. You're doing a great job at showcasing nice weight in the character with few frames to not take away on the feel it seems. Keep it up!
Pls come back
Oh man, I just discovered these videos and I am in love. The animations are so good, and even though I obviously haven't played the game, just by looking at the footage I can tell that the movement just *feels good*. I'm really disappointed that your last video was over a month ago, I really hope that you haven't stopped the series and that this is just a hiatus!
If nothing else, maybe you could make a twitter or something? Even if you don't make any more devlogs, just knowing that you're still working on the game would be enough.
This channel is growing extremely fast, and keep up the great work!
Extremely impressed with the quality of your mechanics. Keep up the great work
You're amazing and you have great skills, let it be known that when this game will explode I'll proudly say that I was here since nearly the beginning!
I love the long jump fly bug, he‘s flapping his lil arms
I'm really enjoying this video series, this game has no business looking this good just a few weeks into development. Good luck, I can't wait to see more of your progress
WOW! I am so impressed this looks really cool
This happens to me too. I overwork on the first week or two, then slow down. But it's fine. Take your time
Thank you, I appreciate it
I love the little character, so cute
my guy really started a great devlog and dipped
AND HE WAS NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. He was a good youtuber...
I love this!!! I love the rolling on wall thing, just it needs some more disadvantages because it gives almost unlimited vertical hight
This is the type of video that motivates me to do stuff, really love your work.
This is looking fantastic so far!! Can't wait to see what you do with the game next!

Okay, but seriously, this looks really cool. Keep it up!
This is epic! You got a new subscriber! Also I have been here since under 3K, you already got 5K!
These are such amazing dev logs out of no where
"Too early", shut up and take our support!
I'll be keeping a lookout for those demos and funding campaigns! great work bro.
Dude, this looks like it has so much potential. Just keep up what you’re doing, hopefully I’ll get to play it sooner rather than later!
Also, I think a little cartwheel would be really cool 😉
Can't believe how you turned a boring capsule into a vibrant robot, so cute and full of life, even tho I find its character design not as strong as some of the examples you show in the first video. I hope to see it evolve for the better! And the ledge grabbing trick is just so clever and elegant, I wonder if other games work like that as well.
Plus I like all of your ideas and it all looks cool
This is the only game devs that i actually like and has what i want in a game keep up the good work :D
Can't wait to see what more is to come, this is fantastic!
This is really cool stuff man, you have a passion for it and I love the gameplay elements you sourced from classic games while adding your own. I'm looking forward to the next vid!
After you made that wall roll and were showing examples of speed running with it, it hit me how awesome this looks. Absolutely insane job man.
