Citrulline is a sour ingredient. You can’t have a lot of citrulline without it being sour. I would be suspicious if a preworkout claimed to have 5g+ of citrulline and it wasn’t sour
Yes, that's 100% true. I once bought raw citrulline, and it was very sour. Given that Transparent Labs uses clinical doses for all ingredients, I'm also not surprised by the taste. It's something I expected, but it was worth noting in the video because a lot of people are stunned when they first taste a clinically dosed product.
@@Grumpyoldman666 Good point. Other pre-workout ingredients are either sour or bitter in their raw form though, it's not just Citrulline. You can check out my DIY Pre workout video for more info on that: th-cam.com/video/bGe9rzGz5hU/w-d-xo.html
Something tells me this is more for people doing lengthy (>60 minute) intense resistance training sessions, since the caffeine/stim is supposed to be slow release/reduced crash. If your workout sessions are 30 minutes or less, just stick with vanilla Bulk...
Ya, I somewhat agree. I do think most brands nowadays are stacking their high caffeine versions (300mg+ caffeine) with some sort of slow release formula. They don't want people jittering out of their mind.
Transparent Labs does have a Stim Free version, which I've tried, and I love it. I use it for my late night workouts, or when I want a break from caffeine. Here's that video in case you're interested: th-cam.com/video/3Gz4Q0ltsaE/w-d-xo.html
Mate two questions about LEAN, BULK and STIM FREE 1) If i want to build muscle growth and mass and lose fat but not lose weight at the same time, which one is best for me? 2) Are creatine good to combine with the one you recommend or should i skip creatine? My weight around 73kg/163lbs I want to gain weight too, 4-5 kg. Appreciate you bro
@feast_good hi there, how are you doing? I just have a few curious questions if I may ask and also a whey protein if you can review 🤔 (I don't see a well written review on it and it just have some corny or joker reviewer that doesn't go into detail with the product. First part of the clip just messes up the learning and getting to know the product). 1# do you recommend getting casein (I would like to buy it from transparent labs and have it after I get some from the gym so I don't burn out my protein once I do my night job)? 2# is it fine to mix bulk and lean powder (I've watched your other video on bulk and lean. Neat 👏🏾 video. Very interesting and I would like to purchase both one day)? 3# can you make a review on a brand called prozis (I have tried their protein dark chocolate bar abd it was amazing, though I did not tried their whey protein powder. Please and thank you). Also, I appreciate the video you made on promix and especially transparent labs (I am making a transition from promix with some new protein powder and I find that the TL video you made is very educational and see the difference between both. Funny thing, I had the promix dutch chocolate one and it does not have a crazy taste to it with water and mixability has a few clumps on it. Milk makes it better. I also have a bag of glutamine and creatine). For the price I spend on promix I can spend a little more on TL and have more pluses. Forgot to ask, is it ok to buy snacks and bars from these companies?
1. Casein is great if you're in a weight loss phase and you want more satiety. It definitely increases fullness, as it's a slower digesting protein. If you want something for post workout, I recommend whey protein isolate. Both from Transparent labs are high quality. 2. I would mix and match Transparent Bulk and Stim Free, or Bulk and Pump, but I would not mix and match Bulk and Lean. My recommendation would be to buy Transparent Labs Bulk and then get Transparent Labs Stim Free for your late night workouts, or to cycle in when you don't need as much energy. 3. I've never heard of Prozis or tried it personally. I looked into it though and it seems like they have some flavors that have a really high protein percent of calories (up to 96%). But they do use thickeners, artificial sweeteners, and artificial colors. Personally, I'm trying to stay away from that stuff (especially colors). So you have to decide what's important to you. I also can't find anything that says their products are 3rd party tested. Again, I try to stay away from products that don't have these extra quality assurances. 4. I'm not big on protein bars, so I can't really speak to the quality of protein bars.
@@feast_good thank you so much on the reply! I just purchased whey and casein from TL (gonna give the casein a shot). Also, if I may ask what is slim free and pump? Got you on that prozis. P.S. just to let you know and if interested, I just saw some new flavors that TL has released for whey if your interested.

Only party correct. Citrulline is not sour. If you use Citrulline Malate that has malic acid, then yes it’s sour due to the malic acid.

Which would you recommend for supplements, legion or transparent labs ?

Just use a stim free workout, your heart will thank you long term.

Is this true? Cause I use alot of stims in my workout supplements.... it was always in the back of my mind that I could be harming myself long term

Btw. They have a new flavor now! Salted chocolate caramel! Sadly only at vitamin shoppe. 500mg sodium per scoop
I definitely missed that flavor, but ya, that's a lot of sodium to get the salted flavor haha. The others are around 150mg, which is pretty typical.

Go with Bulk (if you don't mind some caffeine). You should 100% add creatine on top of it. Just stick with anything that's 100% creatine monohydrate.
