Hot take and probably i'll get the hate of everyone, but:
The gameplay of ToO is horrible and you can tell that Juke doesn't know how to create gameplay, it's only good because of the creativity and the scripts she puts, other than that any tower in the whitelist is better in terms of gameplay

My hot take is sightreadability > creativity and design *to an extent*. Creativity really doesn’t matter like purist gameplay is still fun and half the times the COs kill you in some dumb way and it can’t compare to the amazing gameplay flow that comes from easy sightreading. I say design to an extent because you should have design but at a certain point put the focus on sightreadability.

ToEP isn't that bad, it is a really fun tower and was a little ahead of its times, it was my favorite tower in the game when ring 6 was released.
Most of It's cool, but the place with the rotating moon is so confusingly safety netted to the point where you can just jump in a section they forgot to bring the teleporter to.
Remove the final floor, and you get a mid tower!
ToK is easier than ToH and im lireally out of my mind they placed ToH so much above it in the difficulty chart

I think this is a hot take: Arcane Area was pretty fun when first completing it. That feeling of joy when you get rewarded a new item
no subrealm with SoWC can be "pretty fun" . The joy of getting a new item exists but considering you're forced to do the worst steeple in jtoh to get it makes it pretty bad. Also Crystal isn even that good of an item. Its mostly a panic button or a light source.
Hot take: Ignoring the 0.2 thin studs ok floor 4 and the 12.5 stud jump on floor 8, ToCN is free + Very fun to

I agree with everything here except the ToBT one. ToBT’s final stretch is one of the easiest parts of the tower and the final jump is so free.

ToNS and ToUA should switch places on the difficulty chart, ToNS is much harder even with a skip route. while ToUA is hard carried by button progress.

1. ToIM is really fun to play past the crappy ladders and wedge walks.
2. ToGF is really good for its time and even for today, but its balancing makes it out to be one of the most inconsistent, loop-failable towers out there.
like minus the button progress and the fact that all the hard jumps are the most punishing, the tower is actually really decent.
3. PA is amazing, some steeples sucked (SoCF, SoHS, kind of SoDD, and SoAU was just hard), but the rest was hella enjoyable
+ToCI is definitely the best tower there, ToTTT is also awesome.
4. not a hot take but don't hate on tower creators, just hate on the individual towers themself. give constructive criticism in your ratings as well.
5. nothing harder than ToCP should be in game, periodt.
my take: id rather have a good fun rebeatable tower than an over the top really interesting tower that gives a good first experience that gets less interesting the more you play it [ahem SoMB and ToAI]

Hot take: 99% of people who say toi is terrible didnt even beat it and they just form their opinions off of other ppl who say its bad but in reality those other ppl didnt beat it too. -toae is the worst tower in the game
-cohad is the worst citadel
-modern is better than classic on average but there are some good/bad apples
-ToI is nowhere near the worst tower in the game, I wouldn't even say worst terri (tofn)
-the best builder is gammattor
-if you only count towers in jtoh for completions, you aren't cool (im just saying this cuz my hardest tower isnt in jtoh)

Long towers are way too overrated. CoHaD is the worst citadel in the game. ToO, CoLS, ToAAA, ToIA, ToWEL are all just very boring. Especially ToRNI, that tower is pure ass. There are a few exceptions, most notably CoTaW, which i think is the best citadel in the game, and ToDI (the monthly tower), but why make a tower insanely long when you can just make fun but short gameplay???

Here's my hefty list of hot takes:
- All of zone 8 is bad (Exception ToAE)
- All of zone 7 is bad (Exception ToFM)
- CoACT is one of the worst citadels
- ToCA is blacklist worthy. The gameplay is unbalanced and shitty, and as much as I love Vipsem obbies, it misses on EVERY single point. Also, the decoration is generic and looks like fuckall. I've seen tower creator towers made by people with 0 playtime that looks better than ToCA.
- The only worse insane is ToRER.
- ToTL is one of the most fun towers in the game.
- ToBT is the best tower
- ToAE is mid insane
- All of Ring 1 is at least an 8/10 (Exception ToR)
- ToDC would be better in every way if the net was removed. Hear me out - It would be actually SC for once, and it would be less of a loopfail snoozefest that nobody likes.
- ToI isn't as bad as people say
- ToC isn't that bad, you're just mad that it's unbalanced. It's not that unfun.
- ToDT is mid rem
- ToNR is garbage in every way. It's generic purism for the first half, and CO spam for the second half. It has bullshit loopfail nets and also somehow bullshit RNG jumps over instakills.
- ToVH is fun
