Beautiful Job!! I just now discovered your channel this morning, and look forward to MORE GREAT restorations like this one!! Highest Regards!! Ron H. Abilene, TX. USA.
Brilliant restoration friend, keep going well keep going Shell, LOL pity we can't restore fuel price's the same way, have a nice day friend, Brian UK !!!.😀😀👍👍.
Riktigt bra jobbat Jocke!
Beautiful Restoration! Perfect conversation piece for the home bar or the shop. Where did you find the replacement dial faces for the fuel "clock"? You might try finding a decent locksmith who could make you a key for the lock. Have you electrically disconnected the pump motor as well?
Blev ju riktigt snygg tycker jag! (For our English speaking Friends, Ljungmans was a Swedish company originaly located in the city Malmö, they made fine mecanic things things like Gasolin pumps, farmers and hospital scales, etc)
Is there any connection between this pump and modern companies making gas pumps? I work on modern gas pumps, and am curious about the history of the companies. They have changed names and consolidated over the years. I don't recognize the meter or pump unit, so that makes me think it is unrelated to the companies that are still in business?
@@fredygump5578 I am not sure, but from what i know their first large serie of pumps where ordered by Texaco, as far as i know primary for the Scandinavian market in the mid 1920s, much later in the year 1970, the company where bought by Dresser Industries seated in Dallas. As far as i know the pumps for the Scandinavian market where primary stationed in Sweden and Norway and possibly northern Denmark, but they had some export to South America and parts of Africa, etc. but i am not sure exactly which type of products where sold there, thay also made a lot of various equipment for storage and handeling engine oil in smaller workshops, gas stations, etc.
Just too too good. An excellently done job. I am from Bangalore India and as a kid of 6-7y old in the early 1960s I remember this kind of petrol dispenser at the CALTEX petrol pump. Where are you from as I see the dispensed is calibrated in liters, and cannot be the US.
Looks great but why did you leave the inside of the cover unpainted and dirty looking or am i missing something? Seems odd to do all that work and leave the interior of the shell dirty looking...
I service gas pumps, and I'm wondering if there is a connection between the company that made this pump and the companies making pumps today? Like Gilbarco, Tolkheim, Gasboy, Wayne, Bennet, etc. I recognize what the internal parts are, but I don't think I've seen anything quite like this one. It is a little older than what I am used to, although I do occasionally find pumps from the 50's and 60's that are still being used!
My opinion friend , but strange that you decided to paint side panels Red ! When the whole pump was in yellow Just curious as to why ! Great beautiful work . Do you intend on keeping the ol gas pump for Nostalgia. 1950s , a Californian native back then the 50s were really something Cars , fashion , AND ! Rock and Roll .
Hi and Hello there ! Sending Greetings from the State of Washington U.S.A ! Wow ! Old gas pump from early to the mid 1950s When was this video shot? Been doing this kind of work very long ? As I was watching , asking myself if he was going t do a complete disassemble. I really enjoy watching these kind of shows . Subscribed! Thanks ! BTW ! Where abouts was this video shot? City , Town , State ?
Great job and nice vid ! The result of your work looks very professional. Best regards and greetings from Germany ! PS: what's that very very good looking black car in the background ?
A great project and actually a nice video...but I got really bored at some points and I fast-forwarded. I don't think anyone has to look at how to screw in all 4 lamps, one is probably enough ;-) What was too detailed in some places was too fast in others. Nevertheless thumbs up and of course a subscription in the hope that there will be more :-)
Well thats something old. Definitely from what's out if the 1950s. It's understandable that we nowadays use electric cars. Am I also trying to tell you that the new teen rock groups don't use tambourines, saxophones, or harmonicas at all?
can you restore the old gas prices while you are at it
Unfortunately that's something that probably won't get fixed till the end of time :/
Fantastic project!!! I'm fascinated. Very well done. And best thing is that you and Mister Patina are basically look-a-likes 😁😁😁
Thank you 😊
Haha, so I have a look-a-like 😊
That old Shell gas pump looks much better than before. I bet it would make a good conversation piece for your workshop. Great work.

Your videos make it look so easy and fast. If only it was easy and fast...
…everyone would do it! 😅✌️
And if everyone did it your videos would not be as interesting. @@NorthernMechanics 😉

Snygg renovering.

Excellent!
Just BEUATYFUL. 🇩🇰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you 😀
Now let's see if it pumps 19 cents a gallon gas. Great job.
Thank you! 😊🙏
Now you just need to get it hooked up. So Fuel can go thru it once more.
Superb!
This is one reason I took Auto Body repair to restore things back to like new, careful sanding old paint it could be lead paint.

Painted a few gas pumps and never used spray can primer, only use high build urethane primer, much better
Perfect...!
Thank you! 😊🙏
That's one heck of an antique wrench you have there at 1:06. What is it called and how old is it?
Mycket snyggt gjort
På 50-talet gjordes kvalitet som håller.
Tackar! 😊👍

Now it needs a gasoline undertank (so it functions too) and a period-correct refill station.
19:56 - If I were you, I would use traditional but low-wattage filament bulbs for time-correctness reasons! ;-)
I will think of that in the next video 😉
Looks like a dalek.

The car is a 1938 Chevy
Thx !
Flott arbeid! :)
Found some parts online and got some parts made. 😊
Fantastic!!! But I think it's too BIG to be just one episode... considering your effort and patience...
Thank you for watching 😊🙏
Will there be a video about fixing the internals? Nice job!
Not on this one 😉
How...how did you order a new set of dials for this thing?
Found a guy on Facebook that makes them 😊
No plans 😉😎

More paint remover would work easier in removing the paint.
Are you in Sweden???
Yes 😊
@@NorthernMechanics I like the Vassa. What will you do with the pump?
It’s just standing in my shop looking good 😊
