    Pantera is that band man. I mean, their album cover for Vulgar Display of Power was a guy getting punched in the face!

    Crowd participation is at the heart and soul of pantera. Like I’ve been saying for decades, the best party band “ Ever “ !

    They don’t make metal like this anymore. Pantera inspired your strength determination, will power. You feel like you can overcome anything with this music. Back in the day I used to listen to this shit before I would fight. “Break hands to hone raw energy” also Phil, the singer, was an amateur boxer. You definitely didn’t want to get hit by him.

    I don't always listen to Pantera, but when I do, so do my neighbours.

  • @Dogmahigh

    What the crowd is doing is called "moshing" very common for heavy metel concerts. Sometimes bands will let you "stage dive" from the stage. Very high energy!!!

  • @jjc6776
    @jjc6776 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    When you said they always bring it you are right. One of the best concerts I seen was pantera. 100% energy from start to finish. None of the crowd singing the whole song while they ran around on stage. Seen them perform before zombie in the 90s. When Phil was dondd he said follow that up dropped the Mic and walked off stage. Zombie put us to sleep after the energy pantera just built up.

    The album cover, as you’ve probably read, has a guy taking a punch. The story goes, they pulled this guy off the street, offered him a sum of money and he took several full on punches to the jaw until they felt they got the perfect punch for the album cover. These guys were hard core! If you worked for them, you would get fired if you couldn’t keep with their level of drinking and partying! Pure Texas bad ass! Unfortunately, Dimebag Darrel (the guitarist) was shot to death on stage by a mentally ill fan. His brother, the drummer Vinnie Paul passed a couple years ago from heart disease (arguably a broken heart) They lived bad ass and they took it to their graves...

    Their catalog is DEEP good sir. You would be doing your channel great justice to review any song between Cowboys from Hell 1991 - Reinventing The Steel 2000 . The guitarist has a lot of tasty solos but I’m particularly fond of “It makes them disappear” from their final album

    Yay, Pantera! Love Phil. He's the real-deal kind of badass. He'd kick an ass if an ass needed kicking, but he's an unexpectedly smart, funny, genuine, sensitive, low key dude. Love Dime. Can't help but smile when he's on screen, slaying that guitar and having so much fun doing it. Vinnie Paul, the brick wall, mercilessly beating those drums and Rex Brown playing that groovy bass that makes you wanna move. Pantera is something else all together. Can't compare them to any other bands. All of their songs are awesome. I'd second Integrity's recommendations of A New Level, Becoming, and Goddamn Electric. Then you've got to watch some live performances to see how crazy the crowds were at Pantera gigs.

    OOof when this song goes into an new level when it finishes!!! One of the best starts to an album ever. Individually the songs are great but when they roll onto each other is when the magic happens

    Five Minutes Alone is a song (Phil Anselmo, singer) wrote about a father wanting to spend 5 minutes alone with Phil because his son got hurt at one of their concerts. PANTERAs manager told him that wouldn’t be wise😂 Phil boxes and he’s from New Orleans, bad move. I live in Huntington WV, PANTERA came here in 2001 and I thought the crowd was literally going to tear the civic center down. I made it out alive.

    Honestly now u should listen to a lyric video of the song to fully appreciate the vocals. He's using his voice much more than people realize. Screaming in key if u will.
    Here ill give you a few Pantera suggestions. These are iconic songs that are the epitome of what the band was all about and they *Have hardly any reactions*
    Pantera - New Level
    Pantera - Becoming
    Pantera - Goddamn Electric
