I got to see Pantera in concert 22 times and met them 8 times. RIP DIME and VINNIE
What an honor, I was supposed to go see Damageplan the year he left us, I was, and still am devastated to this day, and for Vinnie passing too. R.I.P. Abbott brothers, Gods of Metal. GetchaFuckinPull!! 333 🍻🎸🤘🏻
This band is responsible for pulling me out of my PTSD and depression after several attacks, beaten by 5 gang dudes while at work, Robbed at gunpoint, then again a couple months later shoved against a wall with a knife to my back. Pizza Delivery problems in the 90s. These Guys right here got my head out of my ass when antidepressants could not. The sound, the words! Take it all in! I don't know that they intended to be therapists of sort. But it worked. .

Been listening to Pantera since I was 10yrs old, 94. Still got goosebumps watching this video again 👊🏼
Pantera saved the Metal in the 90s as said by so many other famous rockers. Such a unique heavy but also super groovy . The Abbot Brothers, Rex, and Phil conquered the fucking world. And will go down in history as one of the greatest bands of all time.

I notice you diggin on the guitar shred; there's no video for it, so prolly not good reaction material, but Dimebag's best (arguably) guitar solo is on the song "The Sleep" from the Cowboys From Hell record. Check it out for your own fun and amusement, if you haven't already. Its def my personal favorite Dime solo. Cheers man!
tbf I've seen *some* live videos scattered here and there on TH-cam, but the sound quality is always trash, so I have to recommend the studio recording

I'd like to thank Pantera for filling the world with metal, especially in this time of pop-tarts and horrid rap music.
Pantera had a way of being the hardest, wildest band on any concert lineup. They once opened for Anthrax and once their set was done, they brought several bbq grills to the front and started grilling hotdogs for the fans while Anthrax performed. Those boys were different!
The first song I ever listened from Pantera when I was 13. I wasn’t ready with my Metallica, Megadeth, Motley Crue background lol
Pantera were kings! Glad a got to see them.
Dime is without question the greatest Metal guitar God virtuoso of all time!!

Without question is pretty far fetched. Considering Dave Mustaine exists and he pretty much wrote all of Megadeth and key parts of Metallica lol. Dime and Mustaine are 1A and 1B

Just remember Marty Friedman was Dave Mustaine‘s back up plan when dime bag turned down the offer to join Megadeth so let your brain wrap around that one!!
