Very cool system for 300 bucks! Wow. The videos are looking so clean lately too. The editing is on point. Great job! Did a gig a few days ago and had something happen that has never happened before with my sennheiser g3. Scanned the environment several times and had 0 "free" frequencies. I couldn't find a good channel and the interference was unbearable. Weird. That only ever happens in my bedroom. Every venue i play usually gets 10+ free frequencies. Cheers!
Thanks! And yeah that happens for me sometimes too, I will adjust the squelch level higher until I find some channels. Other times, it’s just kind of guessing until I find the one with the least amount of RF. There is one place we play sort of near the airport that I usually have trouble finding a signal
Galaxy Audio AS-950 is similar, true stereo, and supported by most commercial audio houses. Similar price, features. Built like commercial audio gear. I've used it alongside the Shure and Sennheiser systems with similar range and sound, and no cross interference. Love your reviews, they give great real world experience to calm down the manufacturer's hype.
I’ll have to check that out! I had a galaxy audio one a long time ago but I think it was in a bad frequency range because I had trouble with it. It was one of my first ones
Hey Scott, thanks for the review. Because your channel giving insight into a few wireless systems, especially the inexpensive ones sure clears the decision-making aspect. I have purchased a few products you have featured in past reviews for instruments (NUX C-5RC, Phenyx PTG-11, and Sennheiser Pro G4). My band uses older Sennheiser G3 for IEM and they work well, but having access to a channel like yours is definitely a working musician's asset. Thank you very much!
Loved it! I purchased the Anleon S2 yesterday based on your video and I'm excited about it, I will hopefuly get it next week. S3 looks amazing but It's out of my budget. However, I found a video of a guy building a couple simple cable adapters to get 2 mono signals with one S2 transmitter and It is as simple as just connecting both signals lines to Left or Right. That can save a lot of money as well! Thx for your reviews!
Oh interesting…. I would be very curious how that works? I don’t know how that’s possible without being able to pan on the receiver, but that’s very interesting
Just played a gig last weekend in stereo from an Allen and heath 32 channel mixer. Has the typical top end hiss and compression associated with this type of wireless, but I didn’t have any dropouts or interference (I was the only one using wireless). I used the maximum amount of pad on the transmitter input so I could leave the buss output at zero db. It worked perfectly. Drummer was crazy loud. I was the only one on stage with usable monitors.
Again, a great review, thanks Scott! In my opinion, a massive "plus" is, that the phones-out jack is properly mounted with a nut at the housing. Shure and Sennheiser do the same, but many of the chaep systems, and, as far as I know, unfortunately audio-technica also, use a jack-out, that is NOT mounted with a nut, but instead is only soldered directly to the pcb with the socket poking through a hole in the housing. This design is cheap, but it is a nightmare, regarding reliability. It often only needs one proper pull at the cable, and the soldered connection on the pcb breaks off or the soldering pads get completely ripped off of the pcb... This became even more of a problem, after lead-free solder became standard, as this solder is more brittle than lead-solder... In my workshop, within ALL units of modern electronic, broken off connectors, pots, switches etc. that were soldered directly onto the pcb are BY FAR the most common reason for failure. It would be very interesting to have a look inside some of those transmitters, to see the design. E.g. if the jack-sockets are mounted on a small extra pcb and then are wired with small cables, a design without a nut could be fine, otherwise, imho it is really very bad design. I would particularly be interested in the internal design of the ATW3255 transmitter, as I am really interested in buying this system for my own use, but it's the design of the output jack, that I have doubts about...
First IEM pack I’ve gotten, gotta say, after using it, it’s quality. Really easy to use and works wonderfully in stereo. No drop outs, no issues. Only concern I have is the subtle white noise it has. Has anybody else experienced that?

@@ScottUhlMusic I will if I decide to get it. Our band still has the last one you recommended and it's cool so far, but stereo has SO many more benefits.
Hi Scott… Thanks for the review. On the S3 how many receivers is it safe to hook up to the transmitter? We have five in our band and we're going to need to get four more receivers to go with the one already bought with the transmitter. So explain this to me please. Also… Do they have rack mountable systems?
That should be fine 👍 and I don’t know if they have a rack mount for it. But they make rack shelves if you need to Velcro it in in case it doesn’t rack. I’ve done that before

Not really, I specialize more in live music gear personally. Not so much studio gear. However, my videos for in ear monitors should apply to that situation as well 👍
great content! would these bodypack receivers work at all with the sennheiser/shure transmitters? If so, would sound quality would be good enough? Thanks !
Found this video after watching the last one. Thank you for giving content that is actually useful, especially for those who can't drop $1000+ out of the gate. These off top brand companies seem to be putting out great products and making them affordable enough to test the waters before thinking about or needing to upgrade to a more expensive setup. Will there be a giveaway for this system lol? Either way thanks!
I would consider the Galaxy Audio one about the same level as this one for an entry level one. Next levels up would be Shure or sennheiser if you can afford them 👍 just my two cents
Hi Scott thx for this video, talking about the sound quality specifically, do you really feel the difference between stereo and mono transmitter? I mean s2 or s3? From the sound perspective
Super useful! I did play a gig with this system and it worked extremely well. Now i'm thinking about buying one for myself. Question is: the bodypack is a little bit pricey, is it possible to use any other bodypacks, not anleon s3 branded? Does anyone know? :)
Scott I purchased this about a year on your recommendation and it works great! Do you have an affiliate link to purchase an extra receiver? Thanks for all the great videos!
Thanks! And if you use any of my Amazon links to get to Amazon and then buy anything else, I actually do get credit :) I appreciate that! Glad it’s been working well for you
Hey Scott, would you recommend the Anleon S3 or the NUX B-7PSM? I like the simplicity of the NUX but I’m concerned that a few years down the road the rechargeable batteries might last. Thoughts? (BTW - thanks for Al the great videos!)
Hey, thanks for the review! So S2 does not support stereo? I've been looking for a true stereo IEM system "on a a budget" ...and the S2 goes for €180 ..but is it also true stereo?
Would you recommend this system for professional vocalists? I just got my first pair of custom in ear from ultimate ears, and I am a bit lost on which transmitter/receiver to get. I want quality, but also don't want to break the bank. Thanks for your help!
“I want quality but don’t want to break the bank”… that’s a phrase I’ve found is truly meant by some and not by others. I have my buying guide here and hopefully that helps you out: th-cam.com/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D5WIXMZMLfnhi_aV Thanks for watching 👍
Hi! You recommended S3 over S2 for full band situations. I'm considering going for wireless iem, and I'm the only guy in the band to do so: others are just using wedge monitor speakers. Would I still need the pricier S3?
Thank you so much for explaining the questions i had abt the S2 just still confused on where do i input the connections setup to hear myself and the music when i do solo gigs thanks for your explaining your thoughts in the S2
Thanks you for the review. Awesome! Can my band use only one transmitter or we should have one for each? Thank you. Edit: So we are 5, we'll need 3 transmitters right?
It depends if you want to share a mix or not. If you do not want to share a mix and want to use the 1 transmitter 2 receiver trick, then yeah you’ll need 3 transmitters and 5 receivers. But you can also hard wire your drummer and save a lot of money that way and just get 4 and 2 👍
This is really a good video. Forgive my ignorance but how do I use this to play guitar? I'm not sure I understood how I musically use this wireless transmitter/receiver? Perhaps if you demonstrated it would help. If you can answer in a sentence or two, I'll much appreciate it. Thanks for the video again!
Nice, clear review as always, Scott. I appreciate you. Does this system do that cool thing where if you plug two lines into the back and set the transmitter to stereo, but then set the receiver to mono, you can pan between the two to sort of control your mix on stage? Like have a full mix in one, and your guitar or vocal in the other and blend the two? Thanks.
Does this system have artifacts in with the guitar when you use them or are they as clear as Shure and Sennheiser IEM systems. I have the Galaxy 950 and for the money it's ok but I hear some noise along with the notes of my guitar with this system. I didn't see a review of the Galaxy on your channel.
I’m buying my first wireless IEM set soon. Would you do this or do you think the extra money is worth it for something like the AT 3200 or Sennheiser G4 system?
I’ve been watching for quite sometime and enjoyed it especially in educational information. Our church is looking into iem but all the big music stores pushing Sennheiser or Shure. Are they that much better as far as sound quality compared to S3?
Hi Scott, I really appreciate your content. I recently got this unit and have a question. I'm new to the IEM world. Is it normal that when you turn on your receiver, to hear some noise? I can't describe the noise but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be completely silent
Hiss and buzz can come from so many places. I recommend doing an elimination process to see where it’s coming from. Start with a channel scan or changing the channel to a clear one. Then figure out what’s causing the buzz. It could be an instrument, bad power, ground loop, etc
Thank you, I'm trying to figure out what's happening but I've been getting some lound random pops. They're really bad, I've tried to email them and call then with no success :(
thnks for the vid! Purchased the S2. I do most of solo shows with the cello (wireless) with backtracks and wanted to ask, have encountered issues with the inst transmitter/receiver (currently using Line 6 G10) being close to either the S2 trans or receiver? Thnks lml
With just two things of wireless, you shouldn’t have a problem in most situations. However the G10 is on 2.4Ghz which can have problems on its own, which is worth understanding. I go over that in this video: th-cam.com/video/RCrFKKr8WUA/w-d-xo.html
Great stuff. Have you heard anything about Thomanns' t.bone wireless iems or anything from LD Systems. They are also pretty affordable and hard to find anything on them. Especially the t.bone iem100 or iem75.
I haven’t heard of those. There are quite a few of these cheaper ones around this price point I’m realizing. Which is great! Lots of options for people to get into IEMs
I know it's not as affordable as some of these other units but I'd love to see you review the audio technica 3000 iem system the features on that system are pretty crazy
@@ScottUhlMusic the 3000 series system covers the whole legal frequency bandwidth between 450-608 at like 130 mhz has a built in network so you can use it with frequency management software like the higher end Senheiser G3/g4 and Shure PSM 900/1000 systems it has some other cool stuff but that was the biggest head turner for me
Hey Scott! Great video! I was wondering how it compared to the Phenyx Pro PTM-10 as they are similar in price. I would like to hear your thought on this! Thanks
Yay! I've been waiting for this video! Thanks Scoot, it looks like it suits my needs. Can I ask what's the biggest venue you have tried to use this? 😁 We're gonna have a big show in January and the floor area will be around 700-1000sqm for the venue. Do you think the S3 will still perform well in that setting? And also, did you have any sort of interference if the crowd is between the stage (receiver) and the transmitter? Thanks so much for your helpful reviews!! Stay awesome 🌞
Yup I bet this would work great with that! Probably for a few hundred people, so it worked well. Wireless mostly depends on how much wireless signal is already there. And range can be effected if there is no line of sight from the antenna to the receiver, but that’s true for basically any wireless 👍
Does the S3 have rack mounting options? I have only seen it as a stand alone. If it is rack mountable, especially if you can attach 2 transmitters together, I will likely replace my Galaxy not true Stereo IEMs.
Hi Scott, love your videos. I’m just getting set up for gigging as a duo. Can I ask what mic and speaker stands you recommend. I have a JBL compact one, so was thinking of a sand for that and getting two boom mic stands. Using a voice live extreme for guitar and vocal effects and the lekardo in ear monitors you recommended. Cheers Darren
For live? I like the Shure beta87 but the sm58 is always great. I have the EV Evolve 50s so I don’t need stands since they are on the subwoofer as a column. Really nice for sure 👍
What about mic stands? I’m looking at Gravity, (which I have one but it’s the heavy round base) or the K and M. They are quite expensive. Is there just as good for less money?
Thanks for this, my band is picking this up. Any clue how we could rack mount it? Seems to have similar mounting points as the sennheiser G4. Hoping it can just share the space with that
They are both fantastic units. Couldn’t pick a bad entry level one with either of them. These are the two I recommend. Forced to make a decision, I know the PTM10 has been battle tested because it’s the main one used by one of my band mates, so I’ve seen it used more often. But if you are setting up for a band, get 1 S3 and 1 PTM10 and send 4 mono mixes to 4 different band members for the ultimate budget setup. 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic bro, I freaking love your channel. You explain stuff so easily even someone like me can understand. And it doesn't feel like you're talking down to you audience. Keep up the good work. I think I'll get the PM10. I was also contemplating getting the xvive u4 as well...
From your other videos, I think you use the XR18. Have you encountered conflicts with using your wireless in ear monitors. I am nervous about using wireless in ears for that reason.
Interference can come from many places. It’s just a new piece of equipment you need to learn. The more money you spend, the more channels/frequencies you get on your in ear monitor system. The more frequencies you have, the more likely you will not have dropouts. 👍
Great video! I bought an S3 a few weeks ago from ebay. I get about 300’ range but I can only get a maximum -16db instead of -24db attenuation. Also, I’m getting intermittent RF static even when the range is close. I got a great deal ($300CAN all in) but I’m afraid I got an older version of the S3. Do you get AF static when there’s no signal or low signal?
Yeah that’s the way wireless works in general. Normally their is a squelch setting on the higher end ones to combat that, which is really nice! That’s not included on this one
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks, this is my first wireless and I don’t have anything to compare it to. BTW, mine came with earbuds. They’re barely usable but good for a spare. Mine DOES have -24db, I just didn’t hit the button enough times. I’ll keep a close eye on my levels to keep the signal clean. Thanks to you, I won’t be tripping over my wires. If I can get my stone age band mates on ears, I’ll be sure to have them use your link.
Hi Scott, thanks for the video. I’m curious. Would you recommend a system like this over something like the xvive u4? The Anleon S3 and xvive u4 are about the same price where I’m at.
U4 is more portable but on 2.4Ghz which is less reliable. If you want portability the xvive is great. If you don’t mind plugging into power, I like the s3. It’s up to you though. That xvive is a really solid unit to be honest. Both are good for the price point
@@ScottUhlMusic fantastic. Thank you for the quick reply! One more quick question if you don’t mind - is there a huge difference in audio quality between the two units?
Don't know if you have access to a PSM 300, or G2-G4 but I'd like to hear the sound quality demo of these by recording the output. That's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger
Recently bought PoenixrPo PTM-10 in 900mhz - it's reliable and sounds good but not quite as hifi as my old Shure PSM300 that i had to sell because of digital tv stations in my area. Does anyone have opinion on Anleon S3 vs. PTM-10 for my band using 4 stereo mixes. Yes we will also but antenna combiner. Thanks for great videos Scott
Haha man I’m getting a lot of this question! I might have to do a video on it. I think they are both fantastic. I would recommend either one for entry level wireless IEM systems
Hi Scott, I need help! I don’t know if I buy Sennheiser IEM XSW or Anleon S3, I’m from Guatemala, the prices are $815 and $375 I need your opinión, thank you so much!!!
Sennheiser will be more reliable. It depends how much you want to have reliability with your IEMs. Sennheiser will be more reliable, Anleon will save you money. Whichever one you value more, go with that one 👍
I have a video about setting up a talkback mic here: 5 WAYS To Setup A TALKBACK MIC For LIVE BANDS - Complete Guide th-cam.com/video/lbilw_491NA/w-d-xo.html
Great review! Beware that you can only use the 500MHz bands reliably, as the 600 band belongs to T-Mobile for their 5G network and 700 belongs to Verizon for their 4G phones. Your experience may vary.
Would you mind posting the frequency of each channel available? I tried to figure out the bandwidth of each channel while watching you flip through some, but they seem to be different sizes. I have a few TV stations around that will likely ruin a lot of the 518-554 spectrum, but there are a few gaps I might be able to use.
@@ScottUhlMusic They only list ranges unfortunately. It's alright. Using the Shure site I can make a small estimate of at least a few open channels. Thanks!
The question I’ve been asked most so far 😊 Both would be my recommendations for an entry level wireless system. PP I’ve used much more since my band mates use them. Maybe I’ll have to do a detailed comparison someday. But both really are good
@@ScottUhlMusic I think they are pretty similar but PP you've known better because you've been using for quite some time...pretty curious about the comparison though...looking at their website they are relatively new and they are specialized in IEMs only (meaning no other wireless mics of anything else)...let's see...thanks!
Thanks for another helpful video. I have a similar Sennheiser system and used it for a long time the way you described with two receivers panned L and R. But that system doesn't work so well anymore, and I understand it's no longer legal to be on the frequencies it uses (yes, it's old). I would consider using this system the same way, but I don't see that a second S3 receiver is readily available.
Yeah the frequency thing is annoying for sure. This is a good replacement for sure! Although the sennheiser has more features and more frequencies if it’s the ew 300. Of course, it’s also 3x the price 👍
Having received mine now and giving it a trial at home , i will say i am impressed with the unit. It feels more sturdy than the LD mei1000 system i already have. Not sure i will use the loop back connections. Shame no rack mounts provided. Not so sure about the rubberised buttons on the main unit as the power button has already got stuck down a few times, it released though with a further push.
Thanks for the update 👍 and I do wish it has rack options included as well and do agree with what you said… however, with these being as affordable as they are, I think it’s still very well priced for the quality that you get. Cheap gear is often never “perfect” and the cheap price has to come from somewhere. Thanks again for the comments!
@@ScottUhlMusic fully understand regarding the cheap price, making the rack mount and sorting a front mounted antenna took no more than an hour in the workshop to sort out.

Hi! Would you have a video on gear to buy/use for a home studio? (In ear system) For live stream or recording.
Not really, I specialize more in live music gear personally. Not so much studio gear. However, my videos for in ear monitors should apply to that situation as well 👍
great content! would these bodypack receivers work at all with the sennheiser/shure transmitters? If so, would sound quality would be good enough? Thanks !
Thank you! And No, you should use the same transmitters and receivers with each other. Not mix and match.
Haha no giveaway for this system, I gave away the S2 though :)
You’re very informative ! Thanks
thanks for the videos man.
❤thank you. I feel I am getting to a decision as I watch your videos and a few from Sweetwater.
This is a great review and a nice product to bring in-ears to the masses!
Between the S3 and the Phenyx you demo’d, which do you prefer?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
They are both great. PP is battle tested for me, so I like that one a lot. Both are great for their price
Great review!! Thanks. I’ve been using the Galaxy Audio AS-1100 for a few years now. I think it’s time for an upgrade!!
S3 definitely sounds better than the S2. Stereo or not, it’s definitely a big improvement
Hi Scott, thank you for the review! It really gives me insight. Do you prefer this one over Phenyx Pro PTM 10?
They are both great!
Thx for another video. This maybe my next purchase. You seem to really like this system. Been looking for an alternative to my kimafun system.
It’s definitely better than the Kimafun system for more serious IEM applications 🤘
Great video, as always, Scott. Love these reviews
Thank you Shaun!
Would you pick this system over the ptm-10 by phenyx pro?
PTM 10 is my main pick because we used it for so long in my band. Both are great, but PTM 10 was battle tested for so long
Super useful!
I did play a gig with this system and it worked extremely well. Now i'm thinking about buying one for myself.
Question is: the bodypack is a little bit pricey, is it possible to use any other bodypacks, not anleon s3 branded? Does anyone know? :)
Nice! Glad it’s worked well for you. And you normally should use the same body pack, but it might work with others. I’m not sure
I see more positive comments on the Anleon one personally
Hey, thanks for the review! So S2 does not support stereo? I've been looking for a true stereo IEM system "on a a budget" ...and the S2 goes for €180 ..but is it also true stereo?
The S2 not “true stereo” because you cannot pan. The S3 is true stereo 👍
Does the S3 have bleed out like the PhenyxPro PTM 10 when you pan all the way to the right or left?
I haven’t noticed. There is barely any bleed on the PTM10. You shouldn’t notice that live when you use it
Thanks for the review
Great video review! Thanks Scott!
Thanks Paul 🤘
Would you recommend this system for professional vocalists? I just got my first pair of custom in ear from ultimate ears, and I am a bit lost on which transmitter/receiver to get. I want quality, but also don't want to break the bank. Thanks for your help!
“I want quality but don’t want to break the bank”… that’s a phrase I’ve found is truly meant by some and not by others. I have my buying guide here and hopefully that helps you out: th-cam.com/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D5WIXMZMLfnhi_aV
Thanks for watching 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thank you - I'll check it out!
Thanks for gr8 info. Do you have any experience with Prodipe IEM? Best regards
Thanks! And no I don’t. I haven’t heard of those
Hi! You recommended S3 over S2 for full band situations. I'm considering going for wireless iem, and I'm the only guy in the band to do so: others are just using wedge monitor speakers. Would I still need the pricier S3?
I would recommend the S3 yes. The S2 gets “overloaded” with a full band mix easily
Thank you so much for explaining the questions i had abt the S2 just still confused on where do i input the connections setup to hear myself and the music when i do solo gigs thanks for your explaining your thoughts in the S2
You might need to split the signal if you are playing solo, but if all depends on your setup
But you can also hard wire your drummer and save a lot of money that way and just get 4 and 2 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Thank you for the fast response. Rock on!
Nice work Scott 👍
Thanks Daniel!
Hi, this is not a system for guitar. It’s for in ear monitors. Here’s my beginners guide to iems: th-cam.com/video/Kp0tQCfxzWg/w-d-xo.html
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks so much Scott! I'll check out that other video too.
Thanks.
Yup it does!
best news I’ve heard all day. I’ve got one on the way. Thank you!
To me, they sounded just as clear as my sennheiser system 👍
Absolutely great! 🎉
Thanks!
I’m buying my first wireless IEM set soon. Would you do this or do you think the extra money is worth it for something like the AT 3200 or Sennheiser G4 system?
I definitely think if you can afford it, to get the higher models 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic awesome, appreciate the advice and your content brother.
Wish we had IEMs back in the day I might not be wearing hearing aids at 47 Ive had them 7yrs now. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!
I’ve been watching for quite sometime and enjoyed it especially in educational information. Our church is looking into iem but all the big music stores pushing Sennheiser or Shure. Are they that much better as far as sound quality compared to S3?
I’m not a super tone snob. I plugged these in and they sounded like my sennheiser system 👍
They're really bad, I've tried to email them and call then with no success :(
Hi Scott, would you prefer this one over the ptm 10?
I prefer the PTM 10 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thank you!
thnks for the vid!
@@ScottUhlMusic thnks! (the nicklback edit LMFAO). Luv this channel, has certainly helped me a lot.
Even the KZ iem`s they have a crazy amount of iem`s at realistic cost
I know it's not as affordable as some of these other units but I'd love to see you review the audio technica 3000 iem system the features on that system are pretty crazy
I’ll have to look into that one! My old drummer loved his AT, but I haven’t really ever used their stuff
@@ScottUhlMusic the 3000 series system covers the whole legal frequency bandwidth between 450-608 at like 130 mhz has a built in network so you can use it with frequency management software like the higher end Senheiser G3/g4 and Shure PSM 900/1000 systems it has some other cool stuff but that was the biggest head turner for me
That’s crazy! There is one by Lectrosonics that does the same. I’ll have to look into the AT one. Thanks!
Hey Scott! Great video! I was wondering how it compared to the Phenyx Pro PTM-10 as they are similar in price. I would like to hear your thought on this! Thanks
Yeah both are amazing units at this price point. I do not think you will make a bad decision with either one. Both are really good 👍
Pass this video on to one of my guitar players. He's thinking of coming into the world of IEMs.
Hey Scott, great video as always😊
Would be great if you could review the LD Systems MEI 1000 G2. Have a look at that IEM system.
Keep on going👍🏻🎸🎶
Hmm interesting. A little more and for less frequency bandwidth. I think I like these better just by a google search 👍
This is awesome! I love the stereo
Stereo is great and the double mono is great for saving money!
Check out the new Behringer wing compact rack mixer ,would be good for your band
I’ve been watching videos on it. Seems cool! I likely won’t upgrade but it’s a cool product
@@ScottUhlMusic should do a review on it Scott
Even if you cannot rack Mount them, the Shure makes a 1U rack shelf and you can Velcro it down 👍 That’s how I did it for a while
Hi, Scott!
Do you still think that the cheapest/greatest IEM wireless system is the Phenyx PTM-10 Pro or have you found another one?
I like the PTM 10 and this one by Anleon. PTM have been battle tested with my band mates, that’s the main reason I like it better.
What’s the best in ear monitoring for singer
My buying guide is here for any musician: th-cam.com/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_USLQFUbyUQOnYaf
Definitely seems worth every penny
It definitely is!
I always use the Dr Pro ones and I like those
Do you prefer the anleon s3 above phenyx pro ptm-10 or ptm11?
Both are great units!
Thanks for this, my band is picking this up. Any clue how we could rack mount it? Seems to have similar mounting points as the sennheiser G4. Hoping it can just share the space with that
If you cannot rack it up for some reason (you should but it doesn’t come with it) they always have rack shelves you can get 👍
Between this and the PM10, which one would you choose personally?
Thanks man!
Thanks for educating us man. Do you have cheaper but reliable alternative to the Behringer X32?
Behringer x air series. They have the 12, 16, and 18 🤘
Great video!
Which frequency did you get?
Nope, they sound great 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks Scott!
Don't know if you have access to a PSM 300, or G2-G4 but I'd like to hear the sound quality demo of these by recording the output. That's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger
To me, they sound basically the same. But the more features and channels is worth it if you can afford it
Hi scott, is there a rack mount for anleon s3? How can I put it in a rack?, thanks
I believe there is a rack mount kit for it, yes. If not, there are shelves and some universal rack mount kits that can work
Recently bought PoenixrPo PTM-10 in 900mhz - it's reliable and sounds good but not quite as hifi as my old Shure PSM300 that i had to sell because of digital tv stations in my area. Does anyone have opinion on Anleon S3 vs. PTM-10 for my band using 4 stereo mixes. Yes we will also but antenna combiner. Thanks for great videos Scott
Thanks! I like the PTM because it’s been battle tested a lot for me, but this one has been good too for the price.
Hi Scott! Great job on your content! Does the S3 feature a limiter? Have you experienced any annoying audio signal spikes when using it?
I believe it has a limiter… the only issue I’ve had with it is if it does get interference it’s definitely a loud quick hiss sound
@@ScottUhlMusicHave you had such loud sound spikes with the Phenyx set as well?
No, but that can happen with cheaper wireless
How would you rate this against the Phenyx Pro PTM-10 unit? Looks like similar specs but $70 more.
Haha man I’m getting a lot of this question! I might have to do a video on it. I think they are both fantastic. I would recommend either one for entry level wireless IEM systems
How do you think this system compares with the Phenyx PTM10 IEM?
Both are fantastic and are the two I would recommend for entry level wireless iems 👍
Hi Scott, I need help! I don’t know if I buy Sennheiser IEM XSW or Anleon S3, I’m from Guatemala, the prices are $815 and $375
I need your opinión, thank you so much!!!
Sennheiser will be more reliable. It depends how much you want to have reliability with your IEMs. Sennheiser will be more reliable, Anleon will save you money. Whichever one you value more, go with that one 👍
Hi. Can you show how to get a setting which every bandmate can speak to one another while on stage?
I have a video about setting up a talkback mic here: 5 WAYS To Setup A TALKBACK MIC For LIVE BANDS - Complete Guide
th-cam.com/video/lbilw_491NA/w-d-xo.html
Great review!
Beware that you can only use the 500MHz bands reliably, as the 600 band belongs to T-Mobile for their 5G network and 700 belongs to Verizon for their 4G phones. Your experience may vary.
Yup that’s true, those ones are for other countries, not the USA! Currently the USA can use 470-608Mhz
how does the volume output from the receiver compare to the shure psm/ sennheiser systems?
I didn’t notice a difference in the volume output
What would your personal preference be on this VS a system like the Xvive U4?
This one 👍 unless you need the portability of the U4
Sleeptoken let's go
Would you mind posting the frequency of each channel available? I tried to figure out the bandwidth of each channel while watching you flip through some, but they seem to be different sizes.
I have a few TV stations around that will likely ruin a lot of the 518-554 spectrum, but there are a few gaps I might be able to use.
You should be able to find that online for which ones they have for certain countries 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic They only list ranges unfortunately. It's alright. Using the Shure site I can make a small estimate of at least a few open channels.
Thanks!
Great video! now the question...anleon or phenyx pro?
Great video! have you done a review on iems using wifi 5.8ghz? cheers!
I haven’t found one on 5.8Ghz actually… except for one which was more pricy than these
Having received mine now and giving it a trial at home , i will say i am impressed with the unit.
Yup I agree. Although even my high end sennheiser system didn’t come with everything for a rack setup… which definitely was annoying to me haha
