My dad made the wishing well and he passed away 13 years ago so it’s lovely still to have it. 😊

Hi, a few day's ago I only discovered from 2 serperate video's that when you over load with seed potato's that you only get small potatoes in return but if you just put 1 seeded potatoe in the bag or bucket that you will get plenty of big potatoes. I am going to try that next time because I always put in lot's of seeded potatoes and most of the time get small potatoes OK.

Oh, that’s interesting. I have another two bags, one I’m going to try putting a couple of pumpkin plants in and the other potatoes again. I’m thinking I’ll put just one in that one and see the difference. I do love a wee experiment 😬. Thanks so much for that advice, I hadn’t realised that but it does make sense now I think about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave a nice comment 🥰😬

The slugs and snails get everywhere don't they? I always put mine in the garden waste bin that we now pay for. It used to be a free service by the local council but like everything, they're short of funds. It amazes me how much different councils charge. I think ours is one of the cheapest at £50. Hope your potatoes do well for you. I might make some of the nettle fertiliser. I keep meaning to do the comfrey version but can't find any. Nettles will be no problem!

I’m sure we’re about the same for our bin. I know what you mean, I’m sure there’s quite a difference between Falkirk and Stirling too and there only a few miles apart. I’m really hoping the potatoes do well, I’ve had mixed results before. I thought I’d be aswell making some use of the many nettles that seem to appear in my garden lol. Thank you so much for watching my video 🥰

...I'm also making a Banana Fertilizer - high in Potassium which is (apparently) great for fruiting plants (as in not the leafy plants - which is what the Nettle Fertilizer is for).

Oh, that sounds interesting. I was so excited after seeing your video to see that I had loads of nettles that I could put to use. Do you know if the nettle fertiliser is any good for potatoes. I keep seeing conflicting opinions on that. Thank you so much for watching 😬

@@aboutthegarden I've heard that YES, Nettle Fertilizer is good for potatoes BUT I've also heard that you should switch from Nitrogen (Nettles) to Potassium (Bananas) when the leafy plant fruits. The problem with that is the fruit (Spuds) are underground so can't tell if it's fruiting yet 🤔🤔🤔.

@@TheBeginnerGardener aah, I’m sure we will soon find out. I might try it one bag and leave the other to see any difference. I love a wee experiment 😬
