Thanks for sharing your knowledge about plants. Also, it didnt cross my mind that a frog or a toad might pop out of my compost bag! The cottage garden style is tricky to get right. Its gone from a pig sty, coal shed, privy and tool shed to an idyllic jumble of flowers. To work, eveything has to be top notch - soil and plant quality and careful planning even though the end result should look random and effortless. Happy gardening!😊
Feel your pain on the missing alliums😞 I started off with 5 shubertii, now just 2 in flower and had to make a split for one of them😭 And then there’s the big fat squirrel that digs things up and the fox that squashes plants! No bloody respect!😒🤣🤣 Your garden is looking lovely as always 😍
Omg, you’ve got all the pests in your garden. It’s so hard keeping them at bay. I don’t know what’s been happening, it’s a bit annoying as the ones were more expensive and a treat. Out of 10 Shubertii and 10 Christophii, I think I’ve maybe got 6. Thank you so much, it’s definitely starting to grow now. 🥰
@@aboutthegarden Did I mention the pigeons and one seagull and various cats?!😆😆 Luckily I sowed way too many seeds so something HAS to survive 🧐 I know what you mean, never had alliums before so it was a bit of a treat for me too but some grew leaves and then just died. The daffodils were amazing though 😅
@@Crocs4cats aw i thought I had sowed enough but it seems to be the ones I was most excited about that are getting wrecked. At least I don’t have a fox or squirrel lol 😂😂
Aw thank you, that’s the kind of look I’m aiming for 😬. I live just outside Stirling but I’m originally from a wee village outside Perth so I have a bit of a mix of accents I think. Thank you so much for watching again and taking the time to comment 😊
It's so frustrating when you have a day off and it rains. I need to get my Lobelias planted as I didn't get around to doing it over the weekend. I got distracted and something else took me away from the task I'd intended doing. Think it's something that happens to all us gardeners. Lithodora is one of my favourite plants but I've not heard of "Grace Ward". Having Googled it, I prefer yours to my "Heavenly Blue".
I know, it’s raining again today and I’d taken an extra day off. Never mind though, I just went to the garden centre 😬. I’ve just googled your Heavenly Blue Lithadora and it’s beautiful too. I need to find more spots for the rest of the lobelia before it’s too late. Thank you so much for watching, I hope you’re having a great day 🥰
This might have been my favourite video of yours so far! The garden looks amazing and I love the sound of all the birds in the background❤️❤️❤️
Aw thanks Anna, I enjoyed getting all these wee jobs done. I love the sounds too ❤❤❤

Aw thank you. I am definitely learning as I go along 😬

Looking good! Thriving! A lovely cottage style garden. Where in Bonnie Scotland are you from - great accent!
