You rock for even attempting that road with a big heavy laden bike!! Love the church and pyramid too!

Ah mate, I’ve had a good few falls by this time 😂. I’m so glad your enjoying, thanks for watching 🙏🏼. Sounds like heaven living in Panama. Happy to help with any recommendations, my main one would be spend as much time in Mexico as possible on the way up lol

@@kenshapperttravelstheworld8845 Thanks for the Tip on Mexico. Not sure how far along you are on your journey but if you have yet to pass through Panama anything feel free to reach out.

No need to be embarrassed ....everyone falls at sometime plus you had the weight of your luggage . Yes those washouts on the hills can really be hard to navigate . Having an abs shutoff is also important when descending those steep washed out roads . I learned that the hard-way but I will never forget the next time .

Ah I’ve had my fair share of falls haha. My simple bike doesn’t have an ABS shutoff, but it only comes on above 5 kph or something like that. Honestly it was completely doable, I think I was just nervous about damaging myself or my equipment this soon into my journey 😬

I've always felt that my CB500X is a bit top-heavy. I've never ridden it in sand, and I don't think I would do well with it

Yeah, coming from sport bikes at first it seemed quite top heavy for me too. I also dropped it twice on my first excursion haha. And I’d never dropped a sport bike in ~10 years of riding. But it’s actually quite a capable little bike, and not nearly as heavy as some of the other bike ADV bikes out there. This was almost exclusively rider error
