its a diffrent way of life in turkey they respect each other and each others property ,doors can be left open and nobody would steel and motor bikes and car left open or with keys in ,its a special place turkey ,im envious of you both .

ive been to turkey many many time and its an amazing beautiful divers country with friendly people and views to die for ,i always go to marmaris and if you end up near there give it a visit its great lots of fantastic restraunts and great shops .
I lived in Turkey for eight months. I miss Izmir bombas, baklava and midye lol. Check out Izmir, it was my favorite city. Also, Eskişehir is worth a visit if your into good cafes and exploring a walkable city without the stress. Antalya was disappointing for me, but I would check out the Olympos area! Trabzon is great for seeing the Black Sea and seeing a different side of Turkey and of course nature. I wish I could of went to Gaziantep (to eat) and Mardin but unfortunetly due to Coronavirus I had to come back to the U.S. early. Good luck :)
@@TREADtheglobe I am originally from Trabzon and I can recommend you definitely the Trabzon and the Black See coast, we have See, beautiful Mountains and it is really green. I think you will like this part of Turkey also, give it a try! End of August i will be there for one month, like every year! :)

Lovely, just lovely...We were to fly to Istanbul this past May, but sadly someone had to go eat Bat, Pangolins or Possum sushi in Wuhan. That person just did not know how their dietary habits will change our world. Enjoy, and we will be there when this COVID leaves us. We're watching from North Florida, USA while hiding in our house from the second surge here....long sighhhhh. Great videos!!!!

It is is really inspiring how you live the real way of Vanlife. Try to learn more turkish as soon as possible. This will blow you to the next level of travelling. Your experiences with this country wil be so phenomenal. It is not necessary at the beginning to do things right in gramnatic. Just say the words how you would like to do. Make learning by doing, try and error. In 10 days you will be able to talk real Turkish. I know you can.

@@TREADtheglobe since İstanbul was the most populated city in Turkey, you won't be able to find as many people who can speak English. You don't need to make sentences. If you can just learn some words like water, cheese, bread, dinner, breakfast etc. Everybody will understand you. I know they will care and make effort to understand :) because helping people is in our blood, but I think you already know that :) travel safe!
We travelled by ferry from Istanbul to Yalova then down to Bursa, Izmir and Kusadasi. Don’t worry the people are brilliant and just the same wherever you go,

@@Traveler_earthling sorry to hijack this thread here but Mert if your alone travelling through Asia at the moment perhaps you might want to check out Oğuzhan Tiraş's TH-cam channel too, he's solo travelling currently in Asia too however his methods are mainly hitchhiking and camping in his tent. Maybe you could try and get in contact with him and meet up somewhere (i'm still waiting for him to hop on over to Australia so i can show him around a few places 😊), if your interested just check him out his channel is Yirtikpantolon. Now Chris and Marianne, uf you guys head down towards Fethiye, i'd say take a visit to Ölüdeniz, and Kirdak beach. At Kidrak beach though just be careful and make sure you dont walk barefoot on the sand, it gets extremely hot though if you do have joint problems, burying your limb joint in the sand there fore 15-20 minutes or so seems to have certain healing properties.

So glad to see you back out on the road, we found it to be a beautiful feeling - seeing new things was bliss. Get used to seeing tortoises, they are everywhere here - our dog can sniff them out so we rarely miss them even if they're hiding :-)

Sonja and I are fortunate to see gopher tortoise (many of them) on our walks in the state park just a mile down the road! One of them we named Trudy! In honor of your home! you should definitely go to izmir, you can enter the ancient city of ephesus, the fountain marmaris bodrum fethiye ... absolutely follow the coastline, do not go directly down .. it will be a big loss for you

Or you may want to rest. I have to say, Kütahya is little boring. :) But i want to be host for you. If you are in Antalya now, when you back olso you can come. Ha, still behind the tortoise. Last time I was in Turkey is was so hot the locals were dying and you couldn't walk barefoot at 8.30am and the sea was steaming. So hot the beaches were deserted. Great country and the people are so friendly. Back then you could use a camera, no one wanted to be filmed or have their picture taken. Things have changed. 👍

Ha, still behind the tortoise. Last time I was in Turkey is was so hot the locals were dying and you couldn't walk barefoot at 8.30am and the sea was steaming. So hot the beaches were deserted. Great country and the people are so friendly. Back then you could use a camera, no one wanted to be filmed or have their picture taken. Things have changed. 👍
