- We’ve had Turkish breakfasts before but not like this. This breakfast was an experience we will never forget. The food, the views and the traditional experience. One of our travelling highlights.

I'm married to a Turkush man and I've had and made countless turkush breakfasts but I think this one just sums up the whole experience brilliantly. Stunning setting, organically and locally produced produce and presented so proudly. There is really nothing better than eating alfresco after waking in beautiful Turkey 🇹🇷

Hi, breakfast means "kahvaltı" in turkish. Kahvalti means " kahve altı". İt means "eating before turkish coffee". So coffee is very very very important for Ottoman cuisine. İf you search coffee history, you will find interesting history of coffee journey from ottoman to europe. Thanks we love you

Don't leave the Kalkan without visiting Kaputaj&Patara Beaches. (Patara is Antique City by the way, lots of historical places there). You can also visit Saklıkent Canyon & National Park (you will need need Sea shoes), Butterfly Valley, Babadağ, Ölüdeniz, Kayakoy(these places are in the north side according to Kalkan) . If you want to head more south, Kaş (one of best scuba diving places) , Çıralı, Olympos (Antique City) are must be on bucket list. There are many other options, these are just based on my experiences for now 😊 For food, I can recommend to try these: Lahmacun, Künefe (dessert), Pide(have many variations, Kuşbaşı&yumurtali my favorite) , Cağ kebabı (horizontal version of Iskender Kebap), Maraş Dondurmasi (One type of Ice cream that you need very sharp knife to cut. It has suddenly got very hot so we have decided to head north to the Black Sea coast and then we will return in October / November ... as poor Trudy has turned into an oven and we are starting to feel like a roast potato !! Wow. That breakfast knocks my Weetabix into a cocked hat! I'd expect to pay £50 for that! I just want to really thank you guys for your wonderful videos. They are so uplifting and cheeful. I have just (thankfully) finished a four week course of radiotherapy which wasn't enjoyable at all and comes with plenty of side-effects. I'm not hoping for nor expecting any sympathy, but just wanted to say how grateful I am for your fantastic videos that really helped me to get through it! I can't wait for the next one now!

That breakfast is fit for a king. The people were so nice as well, loved the explanation of what they were serving. So fresh and local too. There was love put into that food.

Turks love eating, drinking and socializing in open space and scenic places. Thats why you will find lots of great restaurants, cafes, bars by scenic places.

I was in Kalkan just before you guys (November 2019), Wow what a memory, Surely i will have breakfast where you had. I have been to village and and did bring 2 L of farm olive oil, plus other herbs. Food is fresh and locally grown. Just Amazing place.

What a huge tasty brekky i love turkish brekky but never had such a huge spread such as that . And they keep coming with more stuff . It must be said that u eat very well in turkey and most is very healthy too plus in the middle of that wonderfull place too i allways put jam on my turkish doughnuts . Plus u csnt beat the tea even if in some cafes its pgtip tea u get in the glass its the way to have ur tea . It made me stop taking milk in my tea its far more refreshing . That was such a reasonably priced bfeakfast well worth the money for the experience of what u had . That hut was lovely too im so jelous of ur finds ive allways said turkey has so much to offer the visitor . Xx
