Very well explained I just purchased an OBDeleven For my 2017 MK7. It has been fun exploring all of its options. Definitely a must have if you own a Volkswagen or Audi. I remember quit a few years back when I owned a 2007 B6 and we didn't have options like OBDeleven instead you had to have a 600 dollar VAG cable and a laptop to even open up the rear breaks 😂
@@DArias can u make a vid on how to unlock car apple play using this obd11..i no u may have apple play but 4 the ppl who dnt an want to unlock using this device..would be apresihated 👍🏼
So I can’t lie maybe call it placebo but when I turn the ac on almost immediately it will start to blow out cool and after a minute it’s super cold again maybe it’s a mind trick but I feel it’s worked here in jersey during the heat wave
Should you leave the obd eleven plugged in at all times, even after coding or can I unplugged it and still Have the ability to have all the codes which I'd like to purchase?
Can you scan and reset tire pressure light on? 2021 Volkswagen Jetta I used to be able to reset it from the factory radio in settings but I can’t do it anymore I have a aftermarket car stereo?
I don't think you have to code the window up and down in.. older Vw's you could do it with insetting the key in the door and holding, mk7 you can just hold the buttons, also shuts the sun roof
You’re correct the mk7 with the key and holding it will roll the windows up and with the unlock will roll them down. The lock button however from factory will not roll the windows back up that can only be activated via coding
@@DArias dunno bruv, maybe it's region dependent but the windows up AND down via remote/fob is standard. On south African models many of these unlockable features are standard here

I just got my OBD this week, I've done better mods that I don't even see all the youtube vids talk about. On my Mk7 Gti. 1. Flashing brake lights when you do emergency stop. 2. Can now switch off DRL on/off in the menu 3. Smooth linear throttle response 4. Smoothed the pulling off so car is less jerky(I have DSG) And best mod I coded: 5. Automatic closing of windows and sunroof when car is parked and it detects rain. Added this in the menu so can toggle on/off You will need the Pro Version to do the adaptations needed. Doing it via apps/credits is just way too expensive in my country. All the mods I did above would cost 2x what the actual OBDEleven device costs. And I did them in less than an hour. I think that these are the best mods to do as they make the car more enjoyable unlike that cheesy joker indicator mod which just for looks. Being able to switch the DRL off is useful for when I'm chilling at night playing music on the street or if I'm waiting for someone at night, I can park and keep the car idling without attracting attention to myself. Also beside mods, I encourage yall to learn how to use this to detect issues, not just scanning for errors but to check if your timing chain is off or if you have a boost leak ect
OBD11 absolutely saved my 2.0t in my q5. Wish I had screenshot the 11.2% out of phase because nobody would believe me. It did make me immediately park it and order parts and tools. Successfully did the timing chain and balance shaft chain install on my own.

Urban Joker is one of the dumbest mods I see on the streets especially if you have the LED package which comes standard on GTIs in south africa. Also alot of these mods you have to pay for on OBD are standard features on south african models like the opening and closing of windows using the FOB and DRL with foglights. USA get some really crappy version of the GTI tbh lol shame
Has absolutely nothing to do with getting a crappy ‘version’. It has to do with lighting regulations and other road regulations that the US has. You’re acting like it’s a flex to be living in South Africa 😂

Hard brake triple flash
Fogs flash with turn indicators

Very nice! I actually did the triple flash but removed it as it seemed a little tiny bit obnoxious when pressing the brake
Just got an OBDEleven for my MK7 GTi. Perfect video dude and great recommendations on first mods! I’m excited about this thing now!

Thanks! And yes should be similar for the R

I’m sure it works the thing is, is how much stress is it putting in your AC compressor. VW won’t warranty it if it breaks bc you tweaked it
The Tailight’s! No idea something like that could be done on the stock lights
Arguably my favorite thing I’ve done so far lol I think I’m gonna to led tails though but I think it’s the same procedure

Absolutely could in the future!
Didn’t know the red dot display wasn’t available in older years. It’s the best looking 1
