@@tadeofernandofernando3903 they are the same as the GTO 930 Stadium, I have both Kappa & JBL 930, 100% the same, same material, same cone, same voice coil, same screw type connector.
Crappy music ,good speakers , pop music is never a good way to evaluate speakers
Yeah but more people listen to pop then classical or anything thing like that.... I agree to a point.
6 by 9 should be tested in bigger boxes because they're free air resonance speakers basically they need a bigger box to work properly next test use bigger boxes with the same speakers and see if anything changes for the good or the bad...
People buy ds18 for the clarity not the bass that’s why they make subwoofers
The infinity got better bass butt some reason the ds18 better tweeter
I like the ds if you want bass install some subs
Honestly both of these speakers sound like trash. The DS sounds tinny and too bright. The Infinity is mushy and muddy with no signs of highs at all. I wouldn't put either of them in my vehicle. Also turn the volume down a little so they aren't clipping the speakers.
Can u add Focal speakers to your comparisons
Suggestion when you talk about each speaker say the speakers name; you say “This speaker a lot .... just a suggestion. Love the show ,keep on rockin
Kappa, hands down winner.
Sorry for this info but just because they sell you a 6x9 box doesn't mean is the correct box for it . do a little research whats is the recommended air volume on a cubic foot of air for that speaker. Than you must have stereo not mono like your doing. Other then that keep up the good work.

I like how the ds18z sounded. I have the kappa and they sound warm we’ll balance and bassy.. I’ve had other 6x9. In same amp same car and so far to me the kappas have been the best sounding iv herd. But the ds18 seemed detail and loud
I will upload kappas soon on my truck Im running them at 150w per speaker and they sound 10x better then stock B&O garbage on new fords

I have these ds18 speakers and I love it paired with the ds18 bullet tweeter and a heavy baseline. If you tune it right, it sounds amazing! I only have a 7 band EQ and about to get a 15 band to make it sound even better

I'm using a Kenwood KDC-154UM head unit (2.5v pre-out) into a 4 x 70rms Powerbass Amplifier.
These speakers actually put out deep bass and super sharp highs, without any distortion, right into high volume.
I love them. Best decision choosing them. 😎👍🏼

iv been a old school pioneer guy for ever i witched to infinity just because i herd some home speakers and sounded super clean and high pitched i like the screaming highs i also still run alpine 11 band eq in my car lol but the DS18 surprised me even the cheaper one i give the DS18 a pass for me just wondering how long they last and bass dont really matter to me from 6x9 or any kinda high speaker just clean treble and clear loud voice audio guess it done matter when running 3 2000 watt wolfram 12s on 12k watts lol
The D's sounded more crisp.
The jbls and infinity use a silk dome tweeters, they produce warmer sounding highs. Most other companies use titanium dome tweeters which have that higher pitch, "tin-y" highs.
Hi, i want to upgrade my sentra 2020 speakers with this 6x9 jbl gto for the rear and the 6.5 jbl for the front doors, do you think sound will improve only by replacing speakers without adding an amp?
Want good sound save up for a pair of quality 6.5 component speakers, a quality amp and a quality sub for the boot. Don't even worry about the 6/9 speakers for the rear. Own a Nissan Sentra myself except in Australia they're badged as a Nissan Pulsar. Have been in car audio for about 10 years now and very happy with my setup!
I may be wrong, but I believe on that ds18 6X9 pro you have to use 3 wires “2 positive’s and 1 negative” to hook the mid and the tweeter to play together.

Stan Thrasher in 6x9 I recommend this model and the jbl gto stadium, you just find better quality on components, for me the best option after a high end audio
One think u should explain is whts the peak power and rms power of each speaker

Tht infinity bass is muffed the ds18 is not deep but the speaker much clear I bet if u get crossover tht ds 18 destroy the infinity. And I’m listening trough my home infinity home speaker
