I've seen bigger, more expensive, and extravagant game rooms, but honestly, dude, there is something so cosy and comforting about your room. If I had the money and the space, I would design my room just like this, although I might swap out the dance machine for a time crisis arcade. It's not just what you have but the way you've arranged it and the attention to detail. No visible wires. Everything is seamlessly connected. You really thought of everything, and this is one of the best setups I've ever seen. I hope you put up more videos. I'd happily watch you just chilling out in this room playing games or watching movies. Great job man, truly great job.
Thanks so much! Yeah, I am really focusing on comfort and convenience in my room -- plus only displaying things that I truly like. A Time Crisis arcade machine would be awesome. Someday I might work on a solution to run light gun arcade games on my machine, since there are now camera-based light guns for PC compatible with emulators. The height of my machine's screen feels just right for this kind game. I could even assign a dance pad up arrow as a reload/cover pedal and swap the machine's two cupholders for holsters. I'm planning out some new videos to post soon -- thanks again!

When my dad saw this sonic box displayed in a Sears department store at the mall, and we were able to play the demo...he was hooked. Santa brought one for me that Christmas! Incredible memories, playing road rash with my cousin and uncle and father.

This is honestly the best Retro Gaming Setup I've ever seen. You have got the perfect balance between size if the collection and aesthetic. At the same time everything is cleaned and perfectly maintained. Last but not least the great cable management and upscaler, which makes the setup neat and even today very enjoyable. Got some great inspiration for my own setup :)

I really love this room. I appreciate the sensibility, there's a level of legitimacy to it. It's not just a display room, it's not just a shove everything company X has ever made, and there's a lot of thought into the idea of just "I want to be able to play something that I enjoy" This honestly in my inspire me collection. Between liking DDR, the quick access to games. It really is just one of those things that I look at how you enjoy it and it clearly is full of the games and such that actually "Spark Joy" and isn't just a collection. It's nice to see :)
Great room, the fit and finish is stunning. I love the vintage signs, they add that nostalgic feel when you walked into Blockbuster and/or Gamestop! Love it!

That is a beautiful game room you have there, the games for windows sign is fire to have above your PC setup and not something I have seen before. While I love and enjoy consoles and handhelds, above all I've been a PC gamer through the decades of my life so that is something that really speaks to me.

Haha, yes, that is a dreadful thought. I've had to move the whole collection a few times over the past ten years, and it's brutal. On the upside, it forced me to change my layout and find better ways to display things.

Thank you! One good thing is that the windows don't directly face the sun at any time of day, and I believe that they're a good quality glass that blocks most UV. One of the reasons I put my big shelf toward the back corner (aside from it only really fitting there) was to keep it away from the sunlight.

And yeah I'm really fortunate to have so much space. Even when I didn't have this much space, I still crammed a bunch of speakers into my setups haha.

Here in Chile we don't have houses with basements, obviously because we don't have tornadoes & hurricanes, so we don't "need" them. But it would be amazingly cool having one basement like that, just looks stunning.

Dude, you actually got the dream game room that every 90's kid has ever dreamed of having once they have the money when they're adults. I'm sure it took a long time of collecting and a lot of passion but it is totally worth it. I still remember owning some of the gen 1 and 2 tomy figures. I mean, your setup is more impressive than most of the retail stores out there. Btw, what are you currently playing when you have the time to game? I can't imagine being able to choose from your collection lol
Thank you! Yes, a ton of hard work and many years went into this. I remember being a kid and dreaming of owning a "big screen TV." Later on I dreamed of my own DDR cab. Definitely got that and a whole lot more! Eventually I'll make some videos showing the history of my setups -- will be fun to look at the slow progress in retrospect. And yeah, it's hard to pick a game sometimes. In my home office I have a simpler setup where I can bring up just a couple games to focus on. I think that once I start using that space more often, it will help. Some of my favorite games are pick-up-and-play games, especially puzzle games like Dr. Mario. It's easy to find time for these. Most recent longer game that I've been chipping away at is a re-play of LoZ OoT. The most recent game that really captured my attention and got me to play the whole way through relatively quickly was Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
16:43 I hope you know wrapping the controller cords tight like that are really bad for the cords at the root of the controller. At any moment they can start going bad. Really sweet set up you have! Tons of nostalgia around you and a really focused set up for your way of enjoying these systems, it must feel nice and inspiring playing games there🎉
Thank you! Yes, I'm aware of the risk of damaging the cords. I wrap them gently and give some slack at that fragile part where the cord meets the controller. The only controller I've actually run into issues, after many years of playing, is the Xbox Controller S. My original Controller S frayed at that spot but at least was usable and serviceable. I've never had any issues since I started taking more care. Some controllers like GameCube and N64 have very pliable cords that don't seem to have any issue being wrapped this way.
This is literally a perfect setup wow highly impressed I have a huge collection and dream of having it setup as clean as that TV lighting & wiring wise mine is a mess well compared to that and I love mine lol respect!

incredible clean setup. sometimes less (by less I mean relatively speaking because you have a ton) is more and the curation here is top notch. a lot of channels have rooms filed to the brim with stuff. this is by far the best functional setup
good stuff man, also got a stepmaniax set up... well, a pad but i play stepmania. want a second for doubles.. intrigued by the stepmaniax game but probably wont go for it. very cool signs. I got a few neon signs too. old xbox live and ps2 neon signs. hell yeah brother. like you, i always wanted a DDR cab but the stepmaniax pad + stepmania does it for me. the fsr pads were a revelation. cool set up man and i love the blacklight arcade carpet.
Thanks! Yeah, the arcade carpet really makes it pop and old signs are the best. I'm guessing you have the blue neon PS2 sign which is a really nice one. I originally just wanted the SMX stages but am happy I ended up getting the full machine. If you ever want to get the SMX game, I'm pretty sure they sell a single platform bundle with the monitor and Android box. Having the second pad for doubles is definitely fun.

I always dreamed of a gaming setup like this as a kid (i still am one), I'm not there yet but i hope i can make something as great as this one day! I especially like how this isn't just a show of wealth (although i can't imagine the cost) but also creativity and pure love for gaming. P.S wonderful logo and name

Here in Chile we don't have houses with basements, obviously because we don't have tornadoes & hurricanes, so we don't "need" them. But it would be amazingly cool having one basement like that, just looks stunning.

Dude, you actually got the dream game room that every 90's kid has ever dreamed of having once they have the money when they're adults. I'm sure it took a long time of collecting and a lot of passion but it is totally worth it. I still remember owning some of the gen 1 and 2 tomy figures. I mean, your setup is more impressive than most of the retail stores out there. Btw, what are you currently playing when you have the time to game? I can't imagine being able to choose from your collection lol
Thank you! Yes, a ton of hard work and many years went into this. I remember being a kid and dreaming of owning a "big screen TV." Later on I dreamed of my own DDR cab. Definitely got that and a whole lot more! Eventually I'll make some videos showing the history of my setups -- will be fun to look at the slow progress in retrospect.
And yeah, it's hard to pick a game sometimes. In my home office I have a simpler setup where I can bring up just a couple games to focus on. I think that once I start using that space more often, it will help.
Some of my favorite games are pick-up-and-play games, especially puzzle games like Dr. Mario. It's easy to find time for these. Most recent longer game that I've been chipping away at is a re-play of LoZ OoT. The most recent game that really captured my attention and got me to play the whole way through relatively quickly was Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
16:43 I hope you know wrapping the controller cords tight like that are really bad for the cords at the root of the controller. At any moment they can start going bad.

Thank you! Yes, I'm aware of the risk of damaging the cords. I wrap them gently and give some slack at that fragile part where the cord meets the controller. The only controller I've actually run into issues, after many years of playing, is the Xbox Controller S. My original Controller S frayed at that spot but at least was usable and serviceable. I've never had any issues since I started taking more care. Some controllers like GameCube and N64 have very pliable cords that don't seem to have any issue being wrapped this way.

This is literally a perfect setup wow highly impressed I have a huge collection and dream of having it setup as clean as that TV lighting & wiring wise mine is a mess well compared to that and I love mine lol respect!

incredible clean setup. sometimes less (by less I mean relatively speaking because you have a ton) is more and the curation here is top notch. a lot of channels have rooms filed to the brim with stuff. this is by far the best functional setup

like you, i always wanted a DDR cab but the stepmaniax pad + stepmania does it for me. the fsr pads were a revelation. cool set up man and i love the blacklight arcade carpet.

I originally just wanted the SMX stages but am happy I ended up getting the full machine. If you ever want to get the SMX game, I'm pretty sure they sell a single platform bundle with the monitor and Android box. Having the second pad for doubles is definitely fun.
