This is a our review of the airliner including a walkthrough of check in, boarding, Boeing 787 Dreamliner seats and even their bathroom

      @@KhizEesa I'am absolutely dying to go to the US, I live in Norway but my fear of flying is crippling me but love to watch these videos...especially the most recent ones as opposed to old videos! Great question and your fear is not unusual. Based on our experience and my parents who flew Norse to Oslo last week, I can say that the team operating Norse is well trained and professional. They equipment used (Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a great aircrafts). All that said, our experience was almost near perfect. Wishing you the best as you plan your exciting trip.

    Fun video. Flying this weekend from JFK also. Doing the the under seat and paid the $25 for overhead carry-on. First, do the measure the carry-ons. US bags are bigger the European but its a US made plane so I know they fit. Second. Prepay food was $30. You showed $10 pizza. Seems I should buy on board. Did you experience the same?

    • @KhizEesa
      @KhizEesa  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for the feedback. We only did underseat bags. We didn't see any bag measuring stand at gate entry or at ticketing counter (back in late July). As for personal item, I have a Bellroy travel bag (18x14x8) and was worried since Norse website says 17x14x8 but went through just fine. I can also say that we didnt see any checks for carryon size for other passengers when we were in the line both at JFK and OSL. Lastly for food, we noticed some people not finishing their Norse meals, I recommend bringing your own sandwich or meal. The inflight menu looks good in picture but they may not have all those options all the time. Hope this helps and wishing you safe and happy travels

I printed that note from Norse help desk which I showed them. On the way back, I was able to check in and get my boarding pass using their website. When we were in Oslo, we were told that Norse Ticket counter opens 2 hours prior to flight so thankfully we were able to check in and go to gates with out boarding pass. Last year when we flew Norse, they ticket counters at JFK opened more than 3 hours in advance of the flight but not sure about now. Unlike big airlines who always have some counters open, since Norse of small, their counters open right before flight

Knowing the risk, we stayed within the 17/14/8 inches measurements but we didn’t see them measuring or stopping people. Not sure if anything has changed since then but our recommendation will be to stay within the 17/14/8 inches to avoid any hassle or stress. Safe and happy travels!

Norse was founded and staffef by people from Norwegian and the planes are the same Dreamliners too. Now while SAS is struggling Norway has four succesful airlines, the survivers Widerøe and Norwegian and the newcomers Norse and Flyr. This is a remarkable achievement compared to our neighbours.

    How is the recline situation? Since Norse considered low cost airline, I'm afraid they would barely have any recline (like spirit)? I googled everywhere but there is no info on it. Great question. Based on our experience, the seats are similar to Norwegian airline when they flew this route. Some said that these are mostly the same planes. The 787 Dreamliners that Boeing uses are comfortable and the recline is better than budget airline (not as much as the new 787-10 Dreamliner that KLM is flying between US and Amsterdam, that experience was incredible). We never pay for seat selection. Typically as soon as check-in opens for any flight, we are the first ones to check in and we always have gotten seats together (Delta, United, American, Spirit, Hawaiian, Frontier, Norse, Tap Portugal, KLM etc etc.) for this flight, there was technical issue and we were unable to check in online. At the airport, without asking they have all four of us seats together. This happened on both outbound and inbound flights. Hope this helps

    Norse might sound like a great concept and the low prices are appealing, however, at a closer look things are not that great as they nickel and dime you to death! The prices are low primarily so they show up first on a Google travel search for, example. But, after you add the junk fees for carry-on ($45), checked language ($60), seats ($45), and meals ($30) I end up with just about the same price as all the other major airlines where at least I know what I'm getting and are there are no surprises. Thanks for the video!

      Thank you for your question. When making your reservation, it provides you with two options ($30 for main meal and $20 for Pre-landing snack). I noticed that the main meal was a chicken sandwich of sorts. We didn’t try the Pre booked meals to save money but they have hot food options to purchase while in the air. You can check the menu here www.flynorse.com/menus and I highly recommend trying the $10 Hot Cheese and Tomato sandwich.

The airplane are Boeing 787 Dreamliners with comfortable seats, the staff is friendly, foor for extra $ based on oir ticket was delicious and as long as the airline does well, we will be taking it again.
