Remember, Millions of people have these braces on their guns. This new rule, which isn't even a law but has the consequences of being law, asserts that any weapon that is designed, redesigned, manufactured or modified to be fired from the shoulder will now legally be an SBR.
There is also the possibility that if a firearm only features a surface area that could permit it to be fired from the shoulder, it may fall under the definition of an SBR.
The ATF will consider any pistol with a length of pull equivalent to that of a rifle to be an SBR.
Further, the addition of an optic on a pistol that requires eye relief in the same fashion as a rifle will be an SBR. So simply putting an optic on a pistol will likely change it from a pistol to an SBR.
Once again, remember, the ATF told us that these braces were legal to put on our guns, and now over night, they're illegal unless you register them with the ATF.
It doesn't take a genius to see how this is a defacto gun registration.
So now, millions of guns that were once not on a registration will have to be on a registration, or you become a felon.
I'm optimistic there will be lawsuits filed over this but as anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with the court system, the one thing they are not is fast.

The brace was created for older people so they have more control over the pistol. The older people are the ones they're afraid of. The second amendment was created for the American people the right to bear arms in case we need to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government. I wanted my A.R. pistol as my home defense. Because of this unconstitutional ATF rule I changed that pistol into a long barreled rifle. I’m still going to have a. “short-barreled rifle” that is actually not a short barrel rifle. I’m going to buy a 556 bullpup. It’s a compact weapon, but with a 16 inch barrel. And I will practice with that until I am as proficient with it, as I am with my AR. It will be my new home defense rifle.
There needs to be an organization that will defend people who practice civil disobedience, pay their bail and attorney fees. We need to stand together against this.

@@PDIcomics An AR pistol can't be fitted with a rifle stock. It's illegal since it would then be seen as an SBR and/or a 'firearm' subject to the NFA. One could, however make it an SBR and pay the $200 tax. Btw, for the same treason DO NOT attach foam padding to a pistol brace and then claim it's only for comfort. That's another NFA No! No! since doing so is seen as making or re-making an SBR. A pistol brace is just that. So don't try and make it into something it (legally) isn't.

You should definitely read “the hangman” poem. It’s a poem about a hangman coming to town. When the hangman starts hanging people for no reason, the people make excuses for why that person was hanged.
