Okay, from now on you shall be known as The Unassuming Genius as far as I'm concerned! I don't know how you managed to figure all these things out, but really, you are a genius. :D
I came to this video after building a raised loungearea in my ship using your coffee table and rug technique. I'd also used your rug technique to get my bed snug against a frustrating curved wall.
Thank you for another awesome and helpful video. I'm going to build the dopest bar in the settled systems with that cabinet trick. Starborns, get your first drink free if you mention Miss O's Video! LOL! Thanks Miss O!
New/recent subscriber here, I love the vids and used a few of your techniques in my bases already. I found a merge that I dont think anyone covered yet. If you build those stainless steel cabinets/dressers and build a console desk directly next to it, the next console desk can be built INTO the cabinet. Its nothing fancy, but it adds a uniqe look to those cabinets for sure. And if you want to, you can delete one or more of the consoles without deleting the entire thing, but deleting the cabinet will (like the rug glitch). I like to think of it like a bar computer or cash register type deal almost. Just thought I'd share, keep up the great content!
Oh interesting! I'll absolutely give this a try! I'd managed to get that to work one time with some tables on my Hyla II outpost, but couldn't reproduce it again after that. Thank you for this!
If you need a suggestion for a good spot, Serpentis 4, coniferous forest, and find an amphibious thicket POI and use the recent glitch on TH-cam to build on points of interest. I’ve used your ideas with husbandry’s and now this deck to build a hotspring retreat.
I've been both excited and nervous to try that glitch out. Found a spot on Nemeria where I wanted to give it a shot, but was hesitant to try for fear of potentially messing up my save before finishing my current build projects
Your New Atlantis outpost build is the coolest outpost that I have seen in Starfield! You definitely must be the leader of the Grand Master Outpost Builders Guild. I have been racking my brain trying to duplicate the circular glass hub countersunk into the lakes algae covered water so that the center of the hab floor is actually the moving algae water. Please tell me that you made a video showing exactly how you accomplished that fantastic extraordinary feat?
I'll get a video for you on it, I've found a few different water conditions that work well with it too. The basic gist of how i did was to start with the airlock, and get that positioned so its as low in the water as it will possibly go, then building off of that. Unfortunately the only habs that get the all over floor effect are the round ones, but the others will take on some of it around the edges
Thank you so much for the prompt reply, very much appreciated. I am fairly sure that I was able to locate very near the exact location that you chose to build this outpost by repeatedly looking at the intro of the video showing which lake, the New Atlantis skyscrapers in the background - their angle of view from the rear, the mass of algae and s pattern necessary and its’ location from the lakeshore, and the distinct look of the rocks in the foreground along the shore on either side of the airlock. Although I do believe that the rock formations and algae masses are procedurally randomly generated and are not exactly alike but similar. The curvature circumference of the lake may also vary each time you arrive there procedurally until you actually set down your outpost beacon and stake a claim on that particular land surface tile? I figured that the round circular hab worked best, but I tried all three of the clear glass habs with no success. I also figured out, correctly, that you might of accomplished this by lowering the airlock into the receding sand into the water. I tried this many times, at several locations along the shore and failed. Without finding the exact spot along the same topography of the lakeshore, with the same or similar angle of the water to sand downward tilt, I eventually realized that I would be doomed to failure sadly. 🤨 I will have to wait to scrutinize your how to video, lol.
Miss O- Have you tried that mannequin trick on a ship with the cockpit that has steps in it? The nova one? Idk if the ceilings are still too low for the display cases.
You said that you just fast travel away to get the objects to float from the shelf, but if you're decorating on your ship do you just leave your ship and go back in, or do you leave the ship then fast travel away and then return to your ship?
Any tips for lighting? I cant stand the lack of lighting options in this game. Why are there no lamps!? Im using stroud habs in my ship which has very dark areas and i cant seem to light these areas up.
I think lighting in ships is currently bugged, especially in the empty habs. I've noticed putting some furniture items in certain places will make the lighting all over a hab crazy bright, some habs will start normal and later turn crushingly dark, so it's possible those very dark areas are due to a bug and not design (not particularly helpful I know) You could try adding glossy white furniture, those are the things I've noticed raising the lighting in habs at the moment. In outposts I like to use the work lights by putting them at a distance from what I want to illuminate so the softer areas of the light catch them, but not so much the overly bright part of the light cone near the source. Haven't had much luck with them in ships yet though, especially in the super dark areas I'm gonna keep experimenting though and will let you know if I find a solution!

You're absolutely fantastic! These are useful tutorials. Thank you!!!
so glad they've been useful!
I created a playlist just for your build tutorials! Thank you!!!
Your videos are so useful for my ship interior builds!
I'm so glad!

Argh those curved walls! I'm working on a Hopetech ship at the moment and spending most of my time fighting with the curved walls
Omg you don’t know how much I appreciate your build tutorials. If I could I’d sub a thousand times.🙃👍❤️
Some FANTASTIC build techniques and tips! Right on for sure this def helps a lot!
Oh, bless you for this video along with all your other build videos.
Glad to finally find a way to do this, i still lack patients 😅
Your videos are always helpful and inspiring.
Miss O, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! For me, the base building is the best part of the game.
These tutorials are incredible!!

I'd love to see when it's finished!
Now to build a dance club!
@@anderporascu5026 RIGHT?! 🔥🔥
Great job and very clever at using the game to build just about anything… you are amazing, lots of time invested , thanks for the help and ideas.
Absolutely love and enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing. Such clever creativity, building, and excellent video and voice work. The full package!
Thank you so much for showing me this

Love your builds/videos!
FYI, I discovered that the Street Dryer works like the greenhouse base for merging the pedestals.
Oh interesting! Thanks for the heads up, that'll be a much easier item to work with.
Thanks for the tips :)
I’ve been waiting for this one, I love the deck and can’t wait to build it.
I hope it was worth the wait, and that you're able to do some cool stuff with it
I'm gonna try this

@@MissOPlays you’ve now made me nervous lol
You always have some sexy looking outposts and builds ma'am.
Reflection in glass?

Good catch! Yes, just leaving your ship and going back in will set the objects
@@MissOPlays Thank you!

Thank you for responding! BGS desperately needs to add lamps and other light sources for ship and outpost building!
We just need a place in red mod no question bout it. Can't figure out why some modder hasn't done it yet...
