Daniel:
-Mountain bike and climbing and life risking things
Rex on his couch:
-Amauteur
🤣
Looking forward to the Bastards Ball tomorrow. This was the year I'd finally hoped to attend in person, but I'm glad to be there in virtual form with all the other MBs.
Dan: I need to to sparkle
Rex: (proceeds to sing Yoko Ono's greatest hits)
He said sparkle not shatter
I still remember when Howard Stern kept playing that clip of her screaming and saying "people of Earth how are you?" Haven't thought about that in a while. Rex and Fancy Dan had me giggling there.
"Branson, Missouri is like if Las Vegas was run by Ned Flanders" - Homer Simpson
Regarding the Stein 2ry Rye... I spoke with Debbie at the distillery in person and the rye is grown locally in the valley on a family farm.
That Ozark distillery is so fun because it's absolutely tiny and it's a really good product. Dave Huffman grew up in SE Iowa about 15 minutes away from where I live and he gives a GREAT tour of the facility and his products-he's funny, almost backwoods type of character, but very smart and talks to you like a friend. They do a lot of flavored whiskeys as well and they do them surprisingly well. Can't recommend a trip there enough.
All I can see is Ben Stiller in Something about Mary with those beads hanging from Rex’s ear 😂
"I like life risking where I am in control", Daniel could never be a volcanologist
This is the only channel on YT that I don't watch on 2x speed. I must savor every moment
Fancy Dan's comments are ace!
Andy Williams. He was once married to Claudine Longet, who after they divorced shot and killed her boyfriend, skier Spider Sabich. Saturday Night Live did a skit about it. Check it out if you can find it.
My daughter came into my room and said "This stuff you watch is stupid". I am now looking for some foster parents for her.
With every new video I become more and more convinced Fancy Dan is the real carry of this team/channel, with his glorious editing skills.
So I got my first bottle of Ardbeg after dabbling in all the other categories. And man that first sip was wild.
I wonder how Branson's gonna fire back.
Daniel doesnt like rides , cause of the height restrictions
Rex trying to be nice. Trying so hard. It’s a losing battle. The bad whiskey is fighting back. It’s a strong fighter.
Thank you so much gents for the reviews... hope you like the trinkets :)
Congratulations you Patron Saint of Whisk[e]y
@@hotdog99100 Thanks :) More to follow!
I hear herbal hard candy 🍬 My mind goes to
🇨🇭Rrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiicollllllllllaaaaaaaaaa🏔
the real reason the hobbit doesnt like rides, is the you have to be this tall to ride signs.
luv u guys
Rex's sparkling looks like he's try to phase into another dimension.
going to Branson is life risking for retirees... Do you how difficult it is to be away from their doctor or pharmacy? What if there was no signal for their life alert necklace?
I smashed the like button, now I can see the video. Good morning, fine gentlemen.
Rex: " I can't keep track of your Wheelings and Dealings. I'm too busy. .."
Daniel: " Stay in Your Lane"
Me:🤣🤣💀 🥃💞🌍
Now we need a vlog of you guys taking a ride on the Powdered Keg at Silver Dollar City. It is a must, just tell Daniel it's a ferris-wheel.
Cosmic Bunghole!!!
Have you tried any of Teerenpeli Whiskeys from Finland? If you have I would like to hear your tasting points.
Growing up in Missouri and now living in Oregon I am seriously relating to this video. The branson stuff is so very true.
Is that Jameson Ultra Rare on the top shelf in the background? J was lucky enough to have a bottle about 5 years back... was very expensive and very delicious... unfortunately, it's about 10x the price now from what I paid...
Hello Gentlemen! I have a question for Dan. I'm not a huge drinker, but have recently started smoking cigars and wanted to pair them with appropriate drinks, so I started watching your videos and have gotten a couple of bottles. My issue is back when I used to drink, I stopped after drinking a 750ml bottle of Jack by myself and puking and passing out. Now, 8 years later, when trying to nose whisky, all I smell is Jack and it tries it's best to turn my stomach. Am I ruined? Is there a fix? Is it just a "time heals all wounds" situation? Lol Thanks in advance for any advice.
I am looking for a review of Blanton’s, have you guys done one?
Just bought a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 after watching your video about it and must say it's very enjoyable
QUALITY entertainment gentlemen, but sadly - yes - needs more sparkle!
Good Morning Gentlemen.
always love a good sparkle
Seeing how quickly Daniel gets annoyed with the ear brackets made me smile remembering how much he cringes when Rex gets all up in his personal space 🤣🤣
I love snake river whiskey, the flavor and after taste.
Silver Dollar City... Went there on a class field trip in the early 80s. Not much to write home about.
That whipping your head around is called spotting....
Props to Rex for not shitting all over Canadian whisky, he’s a real one
When I was researching Whiskey Barrels, I did notice that there were a few Spanish distilleries that would source Ozark Oak because they wanted their temperate climate treated oak. So, I am very interested in trying that Ozark Whiskey.
It's Rare Whiskey Friday, on Rare Whiskey Friday we're going to go through and give first impressions on several different whiskeys.
These aren't necessarily large brands, more often than not these are going to be your smaller craft distilleries without a lot of distribution.
If you should be so lucky as to get your hands on any of these whiskeys you're welcome for the review and thank you to the Magificent Bastards that sent the whiskey.
Agggghhhh I'm late!
And that's how I was born ladies and gents
You went to Silver Dollar City in the summer of '85.
Have you guys reviewed any whiskey's from Nebraska? I've only tried one and it was awful
To Daniel, I have heard you guys say "It takes like a budget Bourbon/ budget scotch" , what makes something considered "budget" the lack of lingering taste or cheap price point?
I'm not Daniel but this is what I think they mean by it:
Budget Whisk(e)y often has less and/or more muted flavours. Which comes from lower proof, less age and note the best barrels to be able to keep it at a lower price point. But not all cheap Whiskies have to also taste "budget".
Hope this was helpful. Cheers
Also not Daniel, but they tend to describe it as having a very metallic or artificial (like artificial vanilla, artificial sweetner, artificial cherry, etc). ALso there's a thinness to the flavors (usually from being 80 proof) which are generally very simple and one note. The price determines if it is a budget (under $30, commonly under $20) but non budgets can have those notes and some budgets dont have those notes (usually the good ones).
New to channel. Have you ever reviewed any Sons of Liberty prodction out or little ole RI?
could you put together a classic rye video/list? Please and thank you !
Where is the Glencairn Canadian Mixer? xD
"By the time Dan's done it is!" 😂
Premium Canadian Whiskey flavored with Aspartame. MMMMM
Love you guys, thanks for what you. Jameson is a fav of mine, have you ever done a comparison between all the Jamesons including the cask and the most pricey ones?
I’ve literally played putt putt in Branson lol.
Im on a forced dry week or two atm i had surgery yesterday and the meds are not good with whiskey
Don't know bout the taste but the Stein bottle is a thing of beauty.
Great episode.
I've just used the Chivas Regal whisky blend kit. I wasn't sure if I'm impressed or not at the beginning but by the end I'm pished and don't care 🏴. You guys should get this and or similar and see how you fare. The chivas regal website has a cool system to help you make the blend you like. But after trying Laphroaig for the first time last week. Everything else seems lacking to the spanking that moterbike riding mermaid left upon me.
Top of the Rare Whiskey Friday morning!
The snake river stampede goes for $27.95 here in Oregon
Spinny trick is twofold: 1. have a stationary object to use as a reference point to keep yourself grounded (hence the head thing) 2. Practice.
That's really it.
3) Don't drink substantial amount of alcohol whilst spinning.
@@markplows2198 Important.
I miss you guys. I mean I guess you’re always there. But I’ve been away. Now I’m back. I wonder if the whiskey I’m drinking has anything to do with it.
Has anyone used their Whiskey Vault title (like Magnificent Bastard etc.) in their official CVs? And even more impressive encountered a fellow MB as their employer while doing it?
Maybe not rare everywhere, but I got my hands on Stagg Jr Batch 13 and 14 in PA
A fellow PAer here. Where does one get Stagg Jr in PA? Or do you special order through the state stores? I must know your secrets great wise one!
Brady Snyder check the PCLB product search page and look everyday man. I got lucky and got both retail price out here. I literally just checked every morning. Call minutes before opening and curbside pick up because of COVID is your best friend. But right now most of the Stagg seems to be Center and West Pa
Rex is like toasted at 1:24
9/11 NEVER FORGET!
How much whisky do you have to consume before 80 proof just isnt enough alcohol for you
The abv affects the flavor, which is kind of the point of this type of drinking. Whiskey comes out of the barrel usually a fair bit higher than it's sold. 80 proof is legally the lowest a company can go a still call it whiskey. This gives you the most product to bottle and sell but might not be the best tasting because too much water was added. Buying a bottle of 110 proof or whatever barrel proof is for a particular whiskey gives you the option to add water or ice and find your own sweet spot with out loosing flavors.
@@warpor8345 mu problem is the burn/alcohol taste, weller has been one of the better ones as i get used to whisky, while even jim beam still has that burn/alcohol taste much less some of the bottle in bonds i have sampled
Most of the vjdeo, with Rex having that charm on his ear, it just kept flashing me to the scene from something about Mary, the man juice hanging from his ear. Kept waiting for Daniel to use it as beard grease😉🤣🤣🤣
Is that a sparkle or a Mooch Call?
Maybe inter-dimensional call?
I have never liked Canadian Whiskey, but I haven't given it a real, honest try. What Canadian Whiskeys would people recommend? Preferably not too heavy on vanilla.
I have tried Crown Royal and several cheap ones in the past. Those are how I think of Canadian Whiskey I freely admit.
Daniel remembered his knife this time
The Rockafire Explosion!
Dan is gettin' fancy with the edits
Daniel hates rides because he was in his thirties before he was tall enough to ride them.
What!? Y'all didnt like Stien Rye! I love that, though y'all also gave drastically different tasting notes than me..
Idk to each his own. Stien is a cool distillery though, they are grain to bottle I believe.
As an Oregonian I find it odd that stampede and pendleton both source from Canada.
Shoutout from Branson/Table Rock Lake!
Being from Missouri, I loved this video. lol
Rex showing off his pirouette
1:35 when Yoko Ono enters the chat
Sutch a nice channel, nice dudes and nice whiskeys, I've already saw a lot of your videos guys and drank some diferent whiskey already, but aparently not enought to find my line, i like the most the soft and smooth whiskey kind, do you guys have any recommendations?? Ty very mutch! Sry about my english its not the best and say hello to Brazil on your videos! 😉
Fancy Dan commentary is worth the price of admission alone.
You know... I wonder, can you be a benevolent saint or a benevolent titan?
It’s 5 somewhere I guess
Whenever I hear "rye whiskey", all I can think of is: It's a whiskey, rye whiskey, rye whiskey I cry
; If I don't get rye whiskey, well, I think I will die
OMG silver dollar city. WASSUP!!!!
WOOT... more reviews... HOT DAMN :)
You should really try the Glenmorangie Signet!
Pendleton Whiskey is one of the most popular brands in Oregon, so of course there will be people that copy the format of Canadian whiskey and a rodeo.
pumpkin spice spam
"Life risking that I'm in control of" Sounds like daniel needs a side by side and sand dunes 😉
You two should review Big Peat blender scotch whisky.
Having suffered Branson, MO, I soo appreciate the comments in this episode
I know you have explained why you have chosen the glencairn (sp?) glasses for tasting whisk(e)y. I thought a good whish(e)y tribe video would be to have a whisk(e)y noob try one whisk(e)y from several different glasses commonly used to poor whisk(e)y. and see what differences they taste.
🥃😆😆😆🥃 The Rex Sparkle
Daniel seemed irritated, and short... or am I drunk? 🤔
After this pandemic is over, I really want Daniel and Rex to rent an RV and go on a road trip across America. And then Rex can take Daniel to Dollywood and scare the bejesus out of him.
Sorry to our Canadian friends, but Canadian whiskey belongs best in your morning coffee. It's to sweet to drink anyplace else.
S rank sparkle
Daniel looks super annoyed the whole time
