When you force dry wood obviously the sap condenses and the wood becomes lighter and easily takes fluid. but the caricature of the wood changes compared to yard dried wood wich may or may not have even drying as you would get from force drying hence yard dried wood will have more flavours

I was thinking 2 years since 1.9 months is supposed to be equal to a year if I age it for two years it should be around 12 years. any thoughts or help would be appreciate

You know, one of those whiskeys that after a rough or bad day, or week, you give yourself a pour, and before you even smelled it or taken a sip you are smiling and already happier? Tomatin 12 is mine. One of the first Scotches that I had and I really just fell in love with and always makes me smile when I sipping on a glass.
I live in North Carolina, its hard to find anything in this state because of the strangle hold the ABC commission has on alcohol. I have to drive to SC just to find some whiskies that most other people can find pretty easy. It sucks.
