I was wondering about any safety equipment like pumps. Also daily grocery requirements and general rubbish. What supplies the power, is there a generator and fuel storage? Not sure that I would want to live on one until they have been in operation for say a year. No doubt that they are ok for the summer season.
It's an amazing concept but the big question is if it's worth it. Not just in cost alone but other factors, security, safety, utilities, and of course the £4m price tag. I'd rather buy a boat at that price it'll get 4 to 5 rooms and I can drive it around. Personal thoughts tho

It was about a year ago that I said that a Seahorse Villa would be great to live on. In terms of security which is a question that has been raised, I would have no worries at all as Dubai is very safe. The furnishings are not really to my taste, but the concept for me is unique & fun.
It's a great gig if you can get it... Selling a floating houseboat for "€20 million euros", which couldn't have possibly cost more then one to two and a half (€2.5) million (MAX!) to "customize", build, & complete.👍

Fair point that you have to consider future conditions but it's a significant gamble to assume it's all going to turn out awesome. The glass walls are pretty cool but the rooms felt quite small and the lower floor could have had a few more smaller 'windows' to liven it up. It felt a little submariny, not in the best way. If workable I might have tried a design where you have half submerged floor so you have both underwater and above view because the best experience was the top deck. Submarine construction is not the cheapest but the price does feel high for what you get. Houseboats are typically not particularly expensive although this is a different breed. Dubai might have been better off with creating a tropical environment like the huts on the water of the maldives. More intimate and connected so you can get around. I suppose you can have a massive family group and be socially self sufficient but for a vacation location I think you want to be more connected to local life. Did you see any actual residents anywhere? or is the project still very new.
I'd be interested to know if/when this sells. The only issue I can see is that the people that can afford this would most likely want somewhere to park their Lambo or Bentley.

This villa is for someone who has a lot of money who can use it as a holiday home. I wonder how much the energy bills are and how energy is supplied. Also service charges must be high? What happens to your view if the water goes cloudy? What if you get a leak in those underground rooms I am sure the novelty will wear off especially after trying to cook and wash dishes on that tiny sink and hob. Views are great now but there will no doubt be other villas close by? Do you need your own boat to enter and leave the property?

Some people are just complaining about price but don't worry guys because all of them have been sold and you can't buy it first hand anymore unless and until they make new one. So whining by the broke people does not affect how the world works.
